Nestling in 4 acres of protected valley the villa offers total privacy with breathtaking views to the medieval village of Grimaud. The villa is just outside the bustling market town of Cogolin with its many restaurants and shops. St Tropez, St Maxine and beaches are only 15 kilometers away. The villa is full of character and charm whilst providing every amenity. Well furnished throughout, with a fully equipped kitchen. Large, bright and airy lounge/dining room with open fireplace and French doors to the garden. First floor master bedroom suite with en suite bathroom. One twin and one triple bedroom, bathroom and separate toilet on the ground floor. South facing grounds and terrace, sunny all day, with plenty of outdoor furniture for relaxing and shaded area for dining. The large pool and surrounding terrace receive sunshine all day and have spectacular views across the valley to the vineyards of St Marc and Massif des Maures. Bed linen, towels and final cleaning included.


Access and Transportation: The villa is situated on the outskirts of the village of Cogolin, the centre of which is approximately 4 minutes drive away. When planning travel arrangements we recommend arrival in the daylight for ease of navigation. There is no public transport close by; therefore a car is essential. Access to the house from the road is via an unmade drive/ track.

L‘étable - with children and in-laws

The property is tucked away in the hills behind Cogolin at the end of a steep-ish track and commands fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. Only 15 mins drive to the beach / Navettes to St Tropez and St Maxime, in the evenings the terraces lend themselves perfectly to stargazing..there is no light pollution and there is absolute privacy from the neighbours .The pool is a good size and perfect for swimmers of all categories. The house is picturesque, in fantastic condition with a large, well-equipped kitchen. The owners took great care of us throughout the whole booking, pre arrival period and throughout our stay and we are very much looking forward to returning ! Our party was 4 adults and two children.

Great house in a great environment!

We have spend two (very warm...) weeks in this beautiful house in August. Well equipped, nice and tidy, wonderful pool and a superb terrace. Great view into the valley! We highly recommend this house!

Très belle villa au calme et avec vue imprenable

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans cette villa. La maison est très bien équipée, le jardin très appréciable, la piscine très agréable et la vue imprenable sur l’arrière pays varois et sur Grimaud au loin. Le fait que la piscine soit légèrement en contre bas est très pratique pour sécuriser l’accès pour les enfants.

Wir waren nur eine Woche in der Villa aber die Ruhe und der Pool waren auch für die kurze Zeit absolut geniessbar. Leider gab es extrem viele Ameisen, welche wir bekämpft haben, es muss einfach drauf geachtet werden, nichts rumliegen zu lassen. Die Person die sich um das Haus vor Ort kümmert, war am Anfang gar nicht erreichbar und ist während unseres Aufenthalts nicht einmal erschienen. War jetzt auch nicht wirklich nötig aber hätten wir noch ganz sympatisch gefunden um uns zurecht zu finden.

We share our home in the forest with many animals. The ants sometimes make an appearance in the garden. On the rare occasion that they venture close to the house we deter them with ant powder. We and or our local representative are always available on the telephone and will visit the house any time if needed.

A beautiful corner of France!

We were lucky enough to stay at this charming typical Provençal villa last summer with our two young children. We found it absolutely heavenly and even with two young children we managed to have the most peaceful and relaxing holiday! The house was very spacious and airy and despite the high temperatures there were plenty of air conditioning units to keep the nights comfortable. The house was well equipped and clean and we were able to enjoy lots of lovely outdoor eating and barbecues! The location of the villa meant it was so calm and peaceful and the outdoor area and swimming pool was delightful- such a stunning place and area we can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our holiday. The views from the villa are incredible, tucked away in the moutains it just creates a wonderful ambience to the whole place!The local town of cogolin was close by and convenient and the local shops and supermarkets had plenty to offer. There were some beautiful beaches not far from the villa. We would highly recommend this for family holidays- a fabulous getaway!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour en famille dans cette maison à quelques minutes du centre de cogolin. Très bonne situation pour visiter les environs et etre au calme le soir. Très jolie maison et propriétaires très sympathiques ainsi que la personne qui nous a remis les clés à l'arrivée. Au mois de mai nous n avons testé la piscine qu'une fois mais vraiment très bon souvenir

We enjoyed our stay at L'Etable! The house is wonderful and spacious, the surrounding is very quiet with a lot of woods. Nevertheless the centre of Cogolin, the shops and beaches are not far away. Wundervoller Urlaub Nähe St. Tropez

Die Villa liegt ein wenig abgelegen von Cogolin und die Zufahrt macht allen Jeep-Fahrern eine Menge Spaß. Unser Urlaub wurde zu einem sehr erholsamen Ereignis, da wir die Villa voll nutzen und auskosten konnten. Für diejenigen, die gerne "zuhause" essen, alles notwendige Equipment ist da - für diejenigen, die gerne auswärts essen, gibt es eine Menge guter Lokale und St. Tropez und Gassin sind immer einen Ausflug zum Essen wert! Der Gasgrill war uns "Profi-Grillern" aus Deutschland etwas zu "einfach" ausgestattet, aber ein gutes Steak bekommt man allemal hin. Der Pool und Garten sind fantastisch. Der Pool besitzt sogar eine "Kleinkind-Alarmanlage" Alles in allem ein gelungener Urlaub für Familien mit jüngeren Kindern.

The villa sits in an elevated position in the Massif des Maures in its own substantial grounds surrounded by native Cork Oak forests and overlooking vineyards and hilltop villages.
It is in a tranquil and peaceful location but still close enough to the Town and the Mediterranean coast.
