About this property

Beach house. Seaside Getaway Russell Island long term available mid March/April

Seaside Getaway located on the Southern end of Russell Island near Sandy Beach, offers short term stays. 4 nights MAX stay. please discuss (email) with landlord if you have special circumstances that require longer ( 1 week max).

Available for longer stays Feb/March 2026 only.

Bookings will not be accepted if no contact is recieved at the time of booking. please read my policies regarding pets, young children,additional guests, cleaning fees and travelling alone.

Property Description

Located on the Southern end of island near Sandy Beach, 8km from the ferry.

Peaceful, relaxing getaway. A short walk to Sandy Beach.
Full use of upstairs. X2 bedrooms with queen size beds. Linen, tea, coffee included.
Transport; unless you bring car on the barge we have taxi mini buses.
Beach is walking distance.
Tennis rackets supplied if you want a hit on our island courts located at the Northern end of island.
Wide concrete driveway.
CCTV security

Eateries; R.S.L, Bowls club both offer courtesy bus. Several cafes, kebab,pizza and fish n chip take, pizza, kebab take away. New Mediterranean restaurant.
Inter island Ferries are free.
Shopping; IGA, bakery, chemist, hairdresser, post office, Saturday markets. All located near the ferry.

Check in from 10am-6pm ( if you are checking in after 6pm please advise host) Check out by 9.30am on day of departure.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere. The property is at the southern end of the island, a 10 minute drive from the ferry, water glimpses from the balcony, trees, birds and a short walk to the nearby beach.

An excellent place to rest up

We are builders, building on Russell Island. To make our job successful we needed a place to rest up at the end of a hard day. The property was excellent to do just that. Kitchen, bathroom, dining and lounge all of excellent quality. Beds were soft and comfortable. Host was awesome. Great value.

Thanks for staying at Seaside getaway. The location is indicated on the map although most people don't read this. , 200mtres from the beach. 8km from the shops, so you get a good look and feel for the island. A peaceful location . Many thanks for your review.

Tranquil residence near sandy beach

We stayed in this beautiful home for 6 nights and enjoyed every moment. Spacious house with 2 large bedrooms, huge living/dining/kitchen area opening onto beautiful leafy balcony makes you feel relaxed and happy, makes your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The host is very knowledgeable and helped us with any questions, tips for the trip and island exploration. Good quality bedding, plenty of storage, comfortable bed, air conditioner and fans are available in the house. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals, oven is excellent, large fridge, sitting areas on both balconies with the views of the sea and gardens. Many thanks for providing an excellent stay for us and we highly recommend the property being an excellent value for money.

I have lived on the islands for 20yrs. I chose to live on Russell Island , Sandy Beach for the peace and quiet. Island life is my sanctuary and place of peace and tranquillity.
