NOTICE - Mount Airy Farm was fortunate to NOT be impacted by the recent flooding and winds that affected so many areas in and around Asheville. We have consistent water, power and high speed internet, and all roads to our estate are in perfect condition. Miraculously not even a tree fell on out property.

Mount Airy Farm is an outstanding private luxury estate on 38 acres, pet-friendly, with breathtaking views EVERYWHERE you turn! Just 25 easy minutes to downtown Asheville this is a perfect place for family retreats, romantic escapes, wedding celebrations*, and holidays. You will enjoy the cool evenings next to a cozy outdoor fireplace overlooking the infinity pool and gorgeous mountain views. Take a hike on our land or have a family tennis tournament while others cheer you on from the court balcony. The luxurious master bedroom is expansive with a sauna, extra large tub/rainfall shower and a private terrace overlooking the pool and the beautiful valley. Sharing meals is always special here as guests and family gather in the kitchen around the huge island while breakfast or dinner is being prepared. Evenings you might light up the grill off the vast deck area or sit just outside, share a drink and watch another magical sunset!

There could not be a more perfect or beautiful place in our mountains to spend time together with the ones you love! We hope you will join us!

If you need additional accommodations, we have another property, just a short bike ride away. Our Whispering Creek property is approximately a 1/2 mile from Mount Airy for an additional $225 per night.

Helicopter services are available, you can be picked up at the AVL airport and flown to the property, or arrange for a one or two hour tour of the region, they will pick you up at Mount Airy.

Extremely good communication from hosts. Property is really amazing- location, layout, and outdoor space. We had 6 adults and 6 kids and had more than enough room. Second spring break here and it really is the perfect set up. The area is very close to Asheville and a lot of great hiking. The views are absolutely incredible from every spot on property. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need.

The hot tub was nice at the end of very busy days. The outdoor fireplace was so nice - under the starry sky! The dog loved running around the yard and exploring the hills. Our wedding was magical and the property was perfect and beautiful for hosting our family and friends to share in our special weekend! Mark and Cole were both incredibly helpful and responsive for anything we needed. The house is beautiful and Mark had the piano tuned especially to please our family of piano players! Thank you Mark and Cole for making our event and stay so perfect!

We hosted our wedding weekend and have nothing but positive things to say about the property, the home, the amenities, and the property managers! It was the perfect space to have our friends and family stay with us to celebrate. We played tennis, swam in the heated pool, used the sauna and of course got married on the property! Mark and the caretaker were super helpful and responsive and made the whole weekend go so smoothly. The home and grounds were clean and maintained, and the views are to die for!

Intimate mountain wedding

We got married here and I can't recommend it enough! The property is beautiful, the house is comfortable and spacious and the hosts were amazing. The outdoor space is incredible, we had so much fun in the pool and hot tub, and sitting by the outdoor fireplace at night. We hope to be back one some day for another visit!

We had an amazing week at Mt Airy Farm! It is the perfect place to reconnect with family members while relaxing, enjoying the pool and the gorgeous views. We also used the tennis court and fire pit and spent some time exploring Asheville. Such a special place-our whole family loved staying there!

Excellent Spring break

The house is exactly as advertised. Very clean, spacious, well appointed and the owners are incredibly responsive. We had 6 kids and 6 adults and the kids had a blast. Plenty of room for all. The multiple decks and comfortable furniture made it easy on the adults to relax and enjoy time. Kitchen is excellent- everything you need to cook. Not a single complaint- we will be back next year.

Beautiful country estate

Loved this home in the valley, located amongst farms. Appreciate being able to bring our two dogs and having the space to walk the property. Home is very clean and a lovely place. I can see why someone would want to host small gatherings here.

The views and home are spectacular, you can’t help but stare outside in amazement. The property managers are some of the nicest and helpful people too. They were available for us at all times and super friendly. They even brought us cupcakes! Would absolutely stay here again, do not hesitate!

This property is amazing!

The mountains of Western North Carolina are beautiful and this home is a great way to experience all that is available. Only a short drive to Asheville and nearby activities with all the perfect amenities right outside your door. Sondra and Mark go out of their way to make sure you have everything you would need! I highly recommend this home for your next visit to the area.

Thanksgiving family trip

Mt Airy was a perfect spot to gather the family for a holiday. The kitchen was perfect for cooking a family meal for 12, well stocked, serving dishes and all. We enjoyed the hot tub, the ping pong and the big family room for game night. During the day everyone did their own activities but when we came together for happy hour we were all happy to spend the evening at home together because the house was so comfortable. We would all visit again.

Best Vacation Ever!

Incredibly beautiful location which can be enjoyed looking any direction. The infinity pool is amazing; safe for little ones with a shallow area, deeper for lap swimmers. We enjoyed both pickle ball and tennis on the perfectly kept court. The kitchen was large and full of all supplies. Our family of 10 adults and kids from 3 months to ten had plenty of space. We generally like to visit different areas of the country but we will return here.

Incredible views

The house was beyond amazing! The views are breathtaking and the caretakers on-site are extremely helpful. Not only do they answer your questions quickly and efficiently, they make sure your stay is comfortable. My husband and I got married here and everyone talked about how amazing the house and views were. It surpassed all of my expectations. Needless to say we will be coming back!

Amazing wedding experience

We hosted our wedding at Mt Airy Farm. It was an incredible venue, breathtaking views and plenty of space for guests. We had our immediate family staying in the house and it was very comfortable for everyone. The house has a ton of amenities, from pots/pans to the sauna and hot tub. Cole was very responsive to all my questions, as was Nicole before staying at the house. Can't recommend this house more, we will be staying again!

Beautiful location and outdoor space

We really enjoyed the house and grounds. The outdoor space is wonderful, with the infinity pool and hot tub. We used both daily. The rooms are comfortable with good beds and linens. The kitchen is large and a great place to hang out. The only disappointment was that the piano was badly out of tune and not usable due to that. This property is remote, about 40 minutes to Asheville. It would make a great corporate retreat of family reunion.

Our whole family enjoyed the stay. Here are some of the highlights: * Tons of space inside and out (lots of bedrooms and living space) * The kitchen is a central, pretty, spacious area to hang out * Beautiful views * Tennis court is a great amenity * Outside pool area is nice * Property manager was responsive and helpful The few downsides are that there was a bee issue in one of the bathrooms, and the downstairs door to the outside didn't lock. Not too bad given the positives. Hope you enjoy your stay!

A spectacular family vacation!

Our family enjoyed one of the most delightful family vacations ever! We spent quality time relaxing in the luxurious infinity salt water pool, and enjoying the outdoor fireplace. The spacious, lovely accommodations of the house was a great fit for our family to dine, play games and watch movies. The tennis court was very well maintained, and offered many delightful hours for our family, also! We were in awe of the beautiful view of the Blue Ridge mountains from the house. We are very grateful to Sondra and Sandee, who worked very hard to attend to any needs that we had. We would love to spend more family vacations at this delightful property!

Perfect for Our Intimate Wedding

My husband and I booked Mount Airy Farm for a long weekend and held our wedding and reception at the property. We cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was. The views and grounds were better than we could have imagined and was the perfect setting for our wedding day. The house was spacious and had more than enough room for all of our family. The house has everything you could need, especially in the kitchen. We didn't leave the property all weekend because there was plenty to do between the infinity pool and tennis/basketball court. The caretakers on the property were very helpful and sweet and were prompt to answer any questions we had. Thank you Mount Airy Farm for giving us our perfect wedding weekend!

This property was perfect for our family gathering of 7 adults and 3 preschoolers. The views were breath-taking from every angle (very well-maintained) and the pool was fantastic. The proximity to Asheville and variety of things to do in the area satisfied all of us. The photos don’t really do the property or grounds justice – a must see! We had never had a pool that featured a shelf entry and it was awesome. The layout of the house encouraged family time yet allowed for quieter moments. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed; kitchen/dining area was roomy and dinnerware/utensils were plentiful. There is no question that we would rent this property if we are in the area again – we loved it!

This multi-million dollar Estate is with out a doubt, one of the most beautiful places I have ever come across in our mountains. Everywhere you turn you are looking at truly breathtaking views. It's a private place and only 20 minutes to downtown Asheville. The layout of the house is perfect for gatherings, allowing plenty of places for everyone to be together or places to escape to be alone. The tennis court is supposedly a replica of the courts used for the US Open in Flushing Meadows, NY.
