Wonderful house!

Our family came to Aurora for our niece's wedding. We rented this house and the one next door to accommodate all of our family members. The house was wonderful. It is very comfortable and offers a great place to gather as a family as well as private areas for each individual family. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks again!

The location was very convenient and we loved that the wedding we were in town attending at the Inns of Aurora was just about a block away. The house was very clean and the kitchen very wellstocked. It would have been helpful to know in advance that one of the bedrooms was a walkthrough (unless you were ok using an outside door every time you left that bedroom). The beds were comfortable but we did not find the antique furniture in the living area comfortable at all. Also - instructions for how to use the 2 tvs would have also been helpful - even to know that if you have a Roku stick perhaps you might want to bring it with you. This was our first time in the Finger Lakes and it was absolutely gorgeous.

Lovely home and hostess

Truly lovely and clean guest house. It has a well appointed kitchen, two porches to enjoy the views, dining room with electric fireplace and so much more. Our hostess was there to greet us and show us the features of the home. She also left us some delicious snacks! We really enjoyed the home. Spent the majority of our time there in the dining room. It's a spacious table and perfect for dining and playing games. I would definitely recommend this home or any that Jacci & Virgil are the hosts. You can tell they take a lot of time and care to ensure you have a great vacation!

Lovely home

We rented this house for a girls weekend bachelorette party on the lake. It was truly a beautiful home and location was great! The house was even prettier than the pictures. We all enjoyed ourselves. My only comment was that I had asked for early check in if possible which I really appreciated but my only complaint with the process was that we kept going back and forth on when we could meet based on running a bit late in the morning and then being pushed back an hour later than that because the owner had an appointment, only to get there and find out it was actually a self check in code anyways. She was great with communication and I appreciated her coming to show us around the house and explain some specific things but if we had known we could just check in ourselves whenever and then plan to meet with her a bit later it would’ve been more ideal. But otherwise it was a great trip!

Fantastic stay in Aurora!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. Plenty of room and every amenity we could ask for was already on site. We loved the little town and particularly enjoyed spending days at Long Point State Park. We plan to come back next year!

Historic, Hospitable, Handy

This is the perfect home for a large group. The kitchen is wonderfully outfitted for simple to gourmet meal preparation. Our family loved being able to walk to everything in this historic, charming town with a lake view. We cherished our morning coffees gazing at Cayuga Lake and were treated to spectacular sunsets almost every evening. With five bedrooms and three baths, everyone had plenty of room to spread out and have some privacy while the common rooms were perfect for large get togethers. We appreciated the ample off street parking as well as the park with a playground right behind the house. The decor was charming, homey and comfortable. Everyone slept well during our visit so I assume all the beds were as comfortable as mine. The hosts, Jacci and Virgil, were ready to help with anything and a delight to talk with. They made sure our stay was perfect!

Great accommodation

I was in town for a family wedding. I found this house very comfortable and preferred it to a hotel room. Several of my family members stayed in this house and it accommodated 10 adults as stated in the advertising. It is located within walking distance of downtown Aurora. Jackie and Virgil are great people, very attentive to any request. While visiting Aurora I also visited 4 other houses Aurora Main Stays manages. The are all very nice. I would not hesitate to return to any of their properties.

Convenient and Welcome Alternative

When business brought me back to the Finger Lakes, I wondered about staying in the same fine home our family had experienced at Christmas time. I contacted Jacci and, fortunately, she had room in this nice guest house next door. I just needed a room and not the whole house. I discovered they had cleverly divided the place so I could have my own room without the hassles and expense of dealing with a hotel. The flexibility of renting just what I needed was great.

My husband Virgil and I own this home and have lived here since 1990. We have hosted vacation rentals since 2011 and love welcoming guests and sharing the quaint and quixotic nature of Aurora. Our company is Aurora MainStays and we own/manage nine properties along Main Street all the way to Long Point State Park. Anything we can do for making a guests stay comfortable is what we are about. We look forward to hosting you!

We own 432 and 434 Main Street, right next to each other which makes it easy to maintain. The properties are extremely accessible to everything in the village from weddings to festivals, graduations to reunions.

What makes this property unique

These turn-of-the-century houses are well built and sturdy and add to the charm of Main Street. They are convenient to shopping and dining, walking and swimming. It's surprising how much there is to do here and how contemplative Aurora can be!
