Villa Lux Luz is a large, stylish villa in Praia da Luz on the western Algarve, set in lovely lawned gardens with fruit trees and space for the whole party to spread out together or find a quiet corner. It offers comfort, privacy, and a relaxed sense of luxury that has suited everyone from three-generation family holidays to golf groups, retreats, and the odd famous name over the years.

THE VILLA: 10 TWIN BEDROOMS, ALL EN-SUITE

Every bedroom has twin beds and its own en-suite bathroom, and the beds can be pushed together to make doubles, so the villa suits any mix of couples, friends, and children. The villa offers 700 m2 of living space over three floors, air conditioning (heating and cooling) in every room, and Wi-Fi throughout the villa and garden.

Ground floor: three twin bedrooms, each with direct access to the terrace and pool, plus a fourth twin bedroom in the annex, also opening straight onto the terrace.
Middle floor: the entrance hall and guest WC, a large sitting room, a dining room with terrace, a large kitchen and utility room, and two twin bedrooms, one with terrace access and one with its own balcony.
Top floor: four twin bedrooms, one with a large private balcony.

A separate shower room with WC and basin serves the sauna and gym.

OUTSIDE

The gardens are grassed and private, with a large swimming pool (heating available as an optional extra), a children's pool, a badminton and volleyball court, table tennis, a jacuzzi and private parking. The covered BBQ area is the heart of the villa in the evenings: a proper outdoor kitchen with a fridge and dishwasher and seating for more than 20.

THE AREA

Praia da Luz is a genuine village, a 15-minute stroll from the villa, with a wide sandy beach, seafront restaurants, good food and friendly locals. Lagos, with its marina, old town, and restaurants, is a 10-minute drive away. Five golf courses are within 20 minutes; scenic clifftop walks run in both directions, and water sports, sailing, surfing, and horse riding are all close by. Motorsport fans can watch car and bike racing at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, about 20 minutes away. Faro airport is roughly an hour.

GOOD TO KNOW

- Sleeps 20 in the 10 twin bedrooms; rates are based on up to 20 guests
- Up to 30 can sleep with extra single hotel beds and Z beds, arranged in advance (extra charge)
- April to October: Saturday to Saturday changeovers, minimum 7 nights
- November to March: flexible arrival days and shorter stays, minimum 3 nights
- Large sitting room with terrace, satellite TV, DVD, CD, radio and games

BREAKAGE DEPOSIT

EUR 1,000 per booking, paid to the owner 12 weeks before arrival by credit card, bank transfer, or cash on arrival. We hold and return the deposit ourselves, and deduct only for damage or loss to the property caused by your party.
