Chalet is conveniently located 5 min walk from Bourg centre in quiet rural setting above market town. Part of a small attractive low-rise development with beautiful south views over Isere valley. Accommodation includes open-plan kitchen, living room, bathroom and WC, with bedroom and mezzanine upstairs. Large south facing balcony with spectacular views. Les Arcs/La Plagne easily accessed via funiculaire, 5min drive or 15min walk. Easy 30min drive to Espace Killy and Trois Vallees makes this an ideal location for exploring a variety of resorts. Bourg has direct Eurostar access with car hire available. Chambery/Lyons airports 1 to 2 hours respectively. Easy drive from Channel ports. Chalet is good base for summer sports eg canoeing, climbing, rafting, swimming, tennis, mountain walking, biking, horse riding, and summer skiing at Tignes. Col de Petit St Bernard into Italy is 30min drive. Bourg is a thriving pretty market town offering a good range of restaurants and shops all year.

Please do not take bicycles through the chalet. There is a secure ring to lock bikes outside the door. 6. Please respect the tranquility of the location and do not do anything that may be a nuisance or annoyance to neighbours. 7. The chalet will be available for 16:00 on the commencement of your stay. Please vacate the chalet by 10:00 on the day of departure. 8. If you break or damage anything in the chalet please let us know. We can provide an inventory if you wish. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable amount for rectifying any breakages or damage. Any payment due can initially be taken from your deposit. 9. The property is insured against all usual risks.

Dreadful

Despite seeing a bad review we went ahead with our booking but could not recommend this property to anyone. We left it much cleaner than we found it.

Un Noël sous la neige

L'appartement est Vintage , quelques points a rénover surtout en électricité . Il est bien conçu et sympa , la vue très agréable, le parking souvent saturé mais il y en a un autre a 100 mètres . Un vrai Noël sous la neige comme dans les films

Cosy stop with great views

Cosy place, clean tidy and as landlord explained it's not the most modern but we enjoyed our stay. Close to town bus stop for the funicular is 250m away and it's an easy commute to there. Beautiful views too from the balcony!

Trop vien manque d'entretien les couette sale drap sale rideaux sale plus jamais de location abrite

Trop de saleté le matériel est vieux et les rideaux très sale et poussiéreux les matelas sont sale et mauvais état des toiles d'araignées et une grosse araignée noire dans la salle de bains aspirateur d'effectuer l'eau chaude ne chauffe pas les chauffe déconne mes la propriétaire et opérationnel répond rapidement au e-mail dommage pour le confort nous avons quitté 24h avant un cochemar pas de machine a laver pas de micro-ondes pas possible de prendre 2 douche d'affiler et les voisins du dessous désagréable et je n'est dit que la vérité photo à l'appui

Schön gelegene Wohnung , etwas ins die Jahre gekommen.

Ruhig und gut erreichbare Wohnung , etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Alles zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Durch die bescheidene Isolierung wird es im Wohnbereich nie richtig warm. Für moderne Zeiten wäre auch ein Internetzugang sinnvoll.

Great location

In a quiet part of Bourg Saint Maurice, with wonderful views across the valley towards Les Arcs. It was also a dog friendly property, with great walks nearby.

Our chalet/apartment is shared by four siblings. Our parents bought it in the 1980's and we have all enjoyed skiing at the various resorts in the Isere valley, first as a whole family and more latterly with our own families on at least an annual basis. More recently we have traveled out in the summer and been amazed at how beautiful is the scenery and how much there is to do when the snow has melted. As we are all tied down to jobs and school terms, we decided to let the chalet for other times - apart from making the chalet pay its way, we are also pleased that others can enjoy the mountains at a reasonable cost.

Why they chose this property

We are all keen skiers and so after skiing in various resorts, my parents bought this chalet for its proximity to many different ski resorts with a good snow record and ease of access; as students we would travel to Bourg by train to ski independently with friends. Over the years the resorts have all developed and some new ones appeared so the chalet has offered the necessary variety. Some of us hire a local guide to discover more remote off piste and mountain activities. More recently we have discovered downhill biking, extended mountain walks using refuge accommodation, as well as enjoying the flora and fauna of the mountains in the summer.
