Villa With Private Pool In Mountain Valley Setting

Set in a beautiful south facing mountain valley, the villa is situated in the village of Fuilla du Bas and enjoys stunning views of Mount Canigou. With over 300 days of sunshine per year, this historic region has the best weather of Southern France.

Besides extensive year round outdoor pursuits, there is much to see and do locally, making this is a true 4 season holiday destination. The lovely market town of Prades, medieval fortified town of Villefranche de Conflent and the spa town of Vernet le Bains are all less than 10 minutes away. Further afield, the Mediterranean coast is 45 minutes distant. While in the winter a selection of ski resorts, including Pyrenees 2000, Les Angles and Font Romeu are only 40 minutes' drive away and there, even in summer, there is much to see and do. Also close by is scenic Northern Spain. A bit further on, but still easily doable as a day trip, is Andorra which has a huge range of tax free bargains. All in all, this is an area of great beauty and variety.

This villa is a real treasure—comfortably furnished with a pool and terrace facing the mountains. Located in a quiet village in the Pyrenees, it provides easy access to hikes, historic sites, and many other wonderful places to explore. And the host (Patricia) is very accommodating and responsive!

Lovely accomodation

Very nice house with all the equipment you needed to cook and live in. We enjoyed exploring the area and were grateful to our hosts information on where to go. The house is in a fairly rural area but not too far from supermarkets etc so was just what we wanted

Lovely place - great pool

My family and I stayed at the villa for a week at the end of August and it was perfect for us. The pool was fantastic and the kids loved it. The house is a nice size with two good size bedrooms and living space and equipped with everything we needed. The views are really great too. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Very nice holiday home in a wonderful environment

Nothing was missing here - we felt completely comfortable. The house has everything you need, the pool was perfect and the area a dream. There are activities for 10 weeks of vacation - small excursions or day trips, there is something for everyone. We'd love to come back.

A successful vacation

For us (couple with dog) the house with land in the Pyrenees was ideal. Great location with many possibilities of excursions. We enjoyed the vacation very much. The landlady described and communicated everything extremely well. Christophe and Lianne supported on site if necessary. Highly recommend.

Lovely villa in great location. The villa is comfortable and doesn't feel like rental accommodation. Everything you might need for a good family holiday is available, including board games, cards, DVDs etc. The whole process from booking, payment, key hand-over, pool care, gardening, and help whilst away was managed really well. We will be back; thank you!

Perfect relaxation in a beautiful part of France

We (family of 4 with children aged 14 and 11) spent 3 wonderful weeks here this summer. The house was great and its setting is truly stunning. Lazing in the pool surrounded by the mountains was a perfect way to spend our summer holiday. There are plenty of things to do as and when you leave the house. We enjoyed trips up into the mountains and to the coast. We also went white-water rafting which was an incredible experience. All in all it was undoubtedly the best holiday we've had in France, and we've had many. We look forward to coming back to this beautiful house and this beautiful region in the future.

A perfect retreat

We enjoyed a very relaxing three weeks at Patricia’s villa, it is fully equipped with all you need for a short or longer stay. The pool is fantastic and although there were some issues with it when we first arrived these were very quickly rectified by Christophe, the villa manager who dropped by regularly to check on the pool (and to let us back into the villa after we inadvertently locked ourselves out!) The area is stunning with so much to do, Villefranche de Conflent and Vernet are both beautiful villages and there are a wealth of hiking trails locally. A car is necessary as Fuilla itself is very small with just one restaurant which is only open in the evenings on Friday and Saturday

Disappointed

The property is in a stunning mountain valley setting in a quiet semi rural village however it is very isolated and a car is essential to be able to access local amenities which are not within easy walking distance. Facilities and restaurants close early. We arrived on Sunday evening and all local shops and restaurants were closed. The villa itself was very dreary and badly in need of renovation and maintenance , I had to purchase personal towels, old out of date food and packaging . The garden needed maintenance especially around the pool with loose paving and uneven surfaces many health and safety issues, no pool lightning or alarm. The property was filthy dirty and I spent the first day of our long awaited holiday scrubbing and cleaning. I contacted the host and they denied there being any issues and was dismissive. The area itself is a beautiful location but you have to travel at least an hour to any coastal locations. Great if you are hiking or biking but not much else. Also the temperature was in the 30’s during our stay and without air conditioning we were unable to sleep at night especially as it was necessary to keep windows and shutters closed at night. I would never wish to return to this property and would not recommend it until these fundamental issues are rectified.

Leuk vakantiehuis met ruime tuin en lekker zwembad. Alles voor een relaxt verblijf is aanwezig. Goed uitgeruste keuken.Auto parkeren op eigen terrein. Mooie omgeving met toeristisch dorp op 5 minuten afstand met diverse restaurants.Buren zijn wel dichtbij maar niet storend.

Villa parfaite pour des vacances en famille avec tout le confort nécessaire et située au calme dans ce petit village des Pyrénées. Idéal pour se reposer.La piscine a été très appréciée par toute la famille pour se rafraîchir après les randonnées, avec transats pour se détendre.Agrable terrasse très bien orientée au soleil mais avec un store si le soleil est trop présent.Très bon accueil de la part de Lianne et Christophe.Nous garderons un très bon souvenir de ces vacances.

Très très bien placé : à la campagne mais proche supermarché (10 mn Prades), excellente boulangerie à Villefranche (- 5 mn), et surtout au coeur d'un secteur "touristiquement autosuffisant" et magnifique, donc peu de temps de déplacements en voiture à prévoir.

Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht ist hier richtig

Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit in diesem sehr sauberen und gut ausgestatteten Ferienhaus in Fuilla. Alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden – und der Pool ist ein echtes Highlight: groß, sauber und perfekt für eine Erfrischung nach einem Wandertag in den Pyrenäen.Das Haus liegt ruhig, sodass man mit dem Auto mobil sein sollte – aber genau das macht den Reiz aus: In der Umgebung gibt es unglaublich viel zu entdecken! Ob Natur, kleine Dörfer oder Ausflüge in die Berge – langweilig wird es hier garantiert nicht.Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war herzlich, unkompliziert und stets hilfsbereit. Auch die Nachbarn vor Ort waren sehr freundlich, was das angenehme Gefühl eines echten „Zuhause auf Zeit“ noch verstärkt hat.Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Absolute Empfehlung für alle, die Erholung, Natur und Authentizität suchen!

schönes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage mit tollen Pool

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit bei super Wetter.Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, es ist alles vorhanden.Die Einrichtung ist schon in die Jahre gekommen.Der Pool hat eine schöne Größe, die Pooleinfassung und die Terrasse wurde neu gemacht (noch nicht ganz fertig)Das Grundstück ist rundum eingefasst und daher gut für einen Hund.Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten für schöne Ausflüge.Die Komunikation mit dem Vermieter hat sehr gut geklappt.

Teveel geld voor erg veel achterstallig onderhoud

De locatie is super. Het huisje heeft heel veel achterstallig onderhoud, met name de badkamer dat kan echt niet meer. De bedden waren zeer slecht. Het zwembad was heerlijk en werd onderhouden de tuin daar wordt geen aandacht aan besteed. Het terras rondom het zwembad is zeer slecht en gevaarlijk de tegels liggen schots en schreef zijn kapot je je moet uitkijken dat jezelf niet bezeert. De keuken is verouderd maar compleet. Het lekkende water wat via de tuin naar de voorkant van het huis loopt gaat stinken. De foto's zoals op de website zo is het alleen deze foto's zijn denk ik van heel lang gelden.

Heerlijk verblijf in de prachtige Pyreneeën

We hebben een prima verblijf gehad in Fuilla. Het huis is comfortabel en het zwembad is heerlijk. Het is een prima uitval basis om de omgeving te verkennen. Er is veel te doen in de omgeving. De omgeving is prachtig.

Haus mit Pool und toller Aussicht

Wir waren für zwei knapp zwei Wochen hier und haben die Zeit rundum genossen. Die besten Tipps haben wir von den House-Keepern bekommen: Wanderungen in die nahe gelegenen Berge, zu Höhlen und Thermen. Außerdem waren wir am Meer und in Perpignon. Und natürlich kann man die Tage auch sehr gut am Haus, auf der Terasse und am Pool mit wunderschönem Blick auf den Canigou verbringen. Sehr empfehlenswert =)
