I like to liaise with guests to assist with various aspects and provide a personalised approach to the stay which most guests appreciate so they’re able to tailor their holidays and maximise their experience in this authentic picturesque area.

A stay at our villa is a private one with all the facilities including the pool private to the booking - the accommodation on two floors is flexible for families or groups planning to holiday together who may also appreciate some separate space...

Les Galeries is a luxury villa with private pool and panoramic views set in an idyllic location amongst vineyards in the pretty village of Cabrerolles, near Beziers in the wine region of the Languedoc.

It’s a perfect location for lovers of wine and countryside close to the historic towns of Pezenas, Beziers and the coast. The Languedoc is well known for its diverse attractions to suit any age and importantly enjoys 300 sunny days a year - giving countless opportunities for activities and day trips within easy driving distance. The villa has its own private swimming pool and barbecue set within a Mediterranean garden, great for butterfly spotting in the summer months.

Immersing yourself in nature is part of the character and ambience with uninterrupted views over vineyards down to the coast

Cabrerolles is a hamlet with 3 vineyards, 5 mins to all amenities in Laurens/Faugeres/Autignac villages (2 bakeries, grocery shop, cafe bar, wine store, pharmacy, newsagent). Further amenities are in Magalas, with large supermarket and 4 restaurants and a spa hotel Chateau Serjac which has day spa facilities.

Great holiday

Good standard of accommodation. Very private and peaceful. Lisa was very helpful - she reccomended a spa and pop up resturant in a local vineyard which where both fantastic. Lots to do within 30 mins to 1 hr of location. I would highly reccomend.

Peaceful butterfly paradise

Fantastically relaxing 2 week break in this very well equipped, spacious home. The pool was a godsend in 35C weather. The butterflies, bats and birds amused and amazed. Lisa is a wonderfully responsive owner with great knowledge of the area. If you get a chance walk up to the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-la-Roque in the village. A bit steep in places but the views are worth it.

Quiet rural location

Had all the popular facilities, table tennis, swimming pool, uk tv etc. But, as this was the first let of the season we expected the property to be pristine, it wasnt. Please note there is no internal staircase, which could be an issue with children or the elderly, the outside staircase is made of stone tiles.

Relaxing spot in rural Languedoc

The villa is in a very quiet spot in the Languedoc with a great view towards the sea on a clear day. It is rural, so bear in mind that wifi is slow, there are no cafes/shops within walking distance and it's a bit of a drive to get anywhere. The local vineyards are great and it's a great place to switch off.The villa is not 'luxury' though - it has a 'lived in' feel, complete with more crockery, glassware and cushions than you'd ever need. The owners are helpful, but basics like a 'welcome pack' that includes appliance instructions weren't present. We'd say the villa was clean but not spotless, eg a few cobwebs and worn furniture.We enjoyed our stay, especially the suntrap pool and evenings on the balcony.

Calm and well equipped split level house in the hills above Bezier.

Lisa is an excellent hostess and very reachable. The house, especially the kitchen , is (almost over) stocked and the house has enough of just about everything, from pool cushions to pool table and chairs. It’s about 20 min drive to any service you might need but that means the house is quiet with hardly any neighbors. Any issues we had with our rental, Lisa was very quick to offer a solution. Note: the house is essentially two separate apartments each equipped with a full bathroom and kitchen, however there’s no inner staircase, only connection by going outside and down the stairs.

Schönes Haus zwischen Weinbergen und Wald

Wir hatten eine schöne Woche im Haus. Unsere Highlights waren das Entspannen am Pool, die Wanderung zum Pic de la Coquille - und vor allem der Sternenhimmel! Fern ab jeder größeren Ortschaft gab es keine Lichtverschmutzung und eine phänomenale Sicht auf die Milchstraße. Und Lisa war per WhatsApp immer zu erreichen, wenn etwas anlag.

A little corner of paradise

This place had been on our radar for the past 7 years - finally we made it. And it didn’t disappoint! We stayed for a fortnight in August as a group of two families with kids ranging age 9 to 16 so the flexible accommodation with two independent apartments was perfect, affording privacy whilst enabling communal relaxation (and eating) on either upstairs or downstairs terraces. It was very hot, so the crystal-clear pool was essential from dawn until dusk! The lush garden and panoramic views (right down to the sea) from the cooling, shady, leafy, balconies are a complete delight. The BBQ-zone was great, especially with “a little corner of paradise” to relax with a glass of rosé and simply listen to the sizzle. The house is well equipped to make your stay super relaxing. Coffee machine and multiple fridges a real boon! Table tennis was a great way to work up an evening appetite. The location of the house is stunning; very verdant despite the fact it hadn’t rained since May! Wander to the meteor crater (pop-up restaurant unfortunately closed during our stay) a must if you are interested in geology and/or wine and the village itself is very charming with the climb up to Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-la-Roque with views giving a real sense of perspective. The nearest shop ‘L’Oustal des Schistes’ is a farm shop/wine/tasting/shop is highly recommended! The local area has lots of variety. We enjoyed a relaxing lunch by the quay in Marseillan, Mediterranean gardens and river swimming at Roquebrun, cooling down in plunge pools at Gorges D’héric; the Saturday morning market and a dinner/shopping evening in Pézenas, beaches at both Sérignan and Castellas near Sète; and tumble-down Cathar castles at Lastours. This villa is seriously relaxing but there are diverse landscapes to explore and beautiful/historic places to visit nearby when you are ready to venture out. Lisa was super helpful both pre-holiday with info about the area and also during our stay- always on hand via WhatsApp to help if we needed anything. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place!

Wunderschön gelegenes Haus mitten in Weinbergen

Die Kommunikation mit Lisa könnte nicht perfekter sein. Sie gibt viele Tipps und steht rund um die Uhr zur Verfügung. Der Poolbereich ist sehr schön und die Küche perfekt ausgestattet. Drum herum viele tolle Weingüter mit Möglichkeiten zur Degustation.

Ces deux appartements indépendants positionnés l'un sur l'autre ne manquent pas de charme ! Même si le temps ne fut pas au rdv nous avons passé d'excellentes moments avec un groupe de 8 personnes ;) les environs sont magnifiques et Lisa reste attentive, répond rapidement, propose un accompagnement sur le activités à faire dans la région et trouve un moyen de gérer lorsque vous avez un petit souci. Mooi huis met een prachtig uitzicht

Fijn vakantiehuis opgevat als 2 appartementen boven elkaar met apparte ingang , ideaal voor 2 families of zoals wij 2 koppels. Ieder had eigen sanitair en privacy indien nodig.Wij konden samen kokkerellen en eten op de eerste verdieping met mooi terras en uitzicht op het natuurgebied. Mooi zwembad en bbq op het gelijkvloers. Voor mensen die houden van de natuur, wandelen, lekker eten en wijn. Leuke stadjes zijn te ontdekken in de buurt en zelfs de middellandse zee is bereikbaar.

Extremely well equipped house with everything we needed for a fantastic holiday - even pool towels provided (and 4 hair dryers!). A real home from home. Very peaceful area with lots to do but you had to use a car to get to nearest shop/ restaurant. Also no internal staircase came as a surprise - not an issue for us, but could be a problem for a family with lots of small children. All in all had a wonderful time and would very much recommend the house. Thanks for all the useful information provided too and for staying in touch via text to make sure all was going well. Hi Carol Many thanks for your lovely review - we aim to provide much more than just taking a booking as having rented our home for a number of years we know that the personal and tailored approach actually helps maximise/enhance guests experience of the stay. With the older incarnation of the site we could chat quite easily to our guests and potential guests before and after booking to give them ideas and suggestions and pass on what is great about the area, info about the house etc - however an online portal doesn't do this quite as well....So we like to match our guests to the house (not take a booking we would think wouldn't suit the guests) -and it generally works well being self contained for say two families or say extended family to have separate areas. The charm of the house we hope is the home from home feeling - everything you need, the ability to really relax within nature, outside dining with no other noise the uninterrupted views of the vineyards , star gazing. We hope guests feel as if they have had a holiday from busy lives and hopefully return. There is so much within reach - beaches - historic towns and villages and vineyards on the doorstep (we provide lots of info/recommendations- and if its not already on our list we're happy to find out and research/organise) - were always finding ways to improve/update season to season

Beautiful villa to relax and recharge

We only had a long weekend here. The information supplied by Lisa was fantastic and allowed us to plan ahead. The local market in Pezanas on Saturday morning is worth a visit. The wines are amazing and sitting around the pool in the evening with the BBQ sizzling away is so relaxing. The property itself has everything you need and is a great base to explore the area. A fantastic family holiday

We enjoyed a fantastic family holiday in July/August 2017 at the property. The villa was stunning, a large pool with lots of furniture, an excellent stone BBQ and wonderful terrace with great views. The villa lacked nothing with spacious rooms, a great kitchen and big bathroom. We lived on the first floor but the ground floor would allow more than one family or a group to be self sufficient. We explored the area extensively with kayaking the highlight and found the peace and tranquillity by the pool in late afternoon and early evening the perfect way to relax.

Great holiday at Les Galeries

We had a wonderful two weeks stay at Les Galeries. The house and its extensive range of contents provided us both, our daughter, son-in-law and baby grandson with everything we needed. The property provides privacy, tranquility, a great aspect and lovely views. The swimming pool was superb and not too deep, making it ideal for our use with our grandson. The covered ground and first floor terraces provided much welcome shade from the hot sun. The dining area on the first floor terrace was a great place to eat and from which to enjoy the views. Lisa could not have been more helpful in taking our booking and following our arrival was welcoming and thorough with the information she provided to enable us to enjoy our holiday. David, who comes to clean the pool was also really nice to speak with. This is one of the best properties we have stayed in in France. We highly recommend it to others.

There are so many places to go and activities and local fetes etc and I try to provide info in advance so that guests can plan one or two things if they'd like. We try to have a conversation rather than just take a booking as there is a great deal I can assist with and it's always helpful to get to know our guests a little. Beautiful villa and location

I booked a week here for myself and my family after spending a week in Paris. After the hustle and bustle of the capital this was a very relaxed week. The villa is gorgeous, split into two although we only used the top section. Everything you need is provided, apart from your food and your clothes. A very well stocked villa. The pool was fantastic and we all loved it, from my 8 year old to my wife. Perfect family size. If you want a noisy holiday this isn't the place, but to chill out it is perfect. It's not too far from places if you want to go further afield providing you have your own car, we went to Beziers, Carcassone and Valras Plage. As a runner I loved running through the hills and the vineyards. I could go on and on here, but it really was the holiday of a lifetime and we hope to be back. A little piece of heaven. Lisa and Steve have put a lot of thought into their guests needs and the information on the local area available is fantastic.

Fab place worked well with our teenagers

We had a wonderful holiday in this great, and versatile villa. Our three teenagers had their little bit of independence in the downstairs apartment whilst there was plenty of space and facilities for us all to gather up stairs. The villa is very well equipped, beautifully and thoughtfully (and practically) furnished and the owners really helpful and friendly. The area is peaceful, the beaches in easy reach and local walks lovely. We didn't stray to far from the villa as we enjoyed the pool, the table tennis and just relaxing so much but when we come again we know that there is lots of activities, within easy reach, to give us more scope. The house keepers were lovely too, not intrusive but helpful and on hand. Highly recommend it!

Great Villa in peaceful location

A well equipped villa in a stunningly beautiful peaceful location. The pool is of a good size and the children loved playing in it. Local amenities such as a bakery and supermarket are a 5-10 minute drive and not on your doorstep so to speak but this should not put you off as it as added to the tranquility of our stay. The views from the terrace of the surrounding countryside and vineyards are beautiful. There are three vineyards within walking distance and a host of others to choose from in the nearby area. The owners were extremely helpful both prior and during our stay. They have provided a wealth of information about the local amenities and attractions which is really useful so do take some time to read through this on your arrival. Gary, the pool/maintenance man also provided us with some really useful snippets of information and is very friendly. It's a fantastic area for cycling and the bikes available for use were used almost everyday and really added to the overall experience. There was no bath, which made the usual bedtime routine for our 2 year olds a little trickier but we were able to improvise with an inflatable paddling pool. Overall, a very enjoyable holiday and we would come back to this villa.

The area is tranquil and within vineyards so it gives great views down to the coast as well as having the feeling you're within nature - birds, butterflies, geckos interesting insects -and the vista changes as you go through the seasons. I've also seen badgers, hares and lizards at different times - great for nature spotting - we have some books in the house to help you identify species. A home away from home, only with sunshine

We spent 9 nights during the early part of the season at this fantastic villa. Its a lovely place and extremely well equipped. What surprised us most is that it's exactly what you see in the pictures. We have rented before and have fallen for the pictures that makes places and usually pools look much bigger than they really are but what you see here is what you get. It's laid out extremely well in that it's effectively 2 separate areas. We had my mother and 2 teenage sons with us so it worked really well for privacy yet still allowed us to feel like we were together. The location is very tranquil and quiet. It's a bit of a drive to the beach but the journey felt shorter each time we did it. It's certainly not too far away from everything. It's also extremely well equipped. Everything you need for a nice relaxing week. We would certainly go again and and in fact we are already looking at dates. The couple who own the place are incredibly helpful and informative and made everything very slick. Thanks for a great week or so away.

Hi - we are Steve and Lisa Flint - we live in the UK but been coming to this area of France for 10 years. We are still finding new interesting things to do in the area...

We have always been interested in France, we both studied french but never really used our language skills apart from holidays so owning a property was a good way of challenging ourselves to do more than than and immersing ourselves more in the culture.

We both have a keen interest in food and wine and this area of France is perfect for that because it has a rural feel and of course the house is in a great village, near vineyards, beach and within distance of lots of historic and interesting towns.

Why they chose this property

When we first visited the property we were wowed by the view - waking up to that every morning is hugely uplifting - and the tranquility of the setting - you can hear birds, see a myriad of butterflies and insects and see stars at night - all the things that you do not appreciate living permanently in a city.

This area feels like real France and not hugely focused on tourists. Even in the height of summer you can visit the beach of Valras Plage - you can see the sea in the distance from the house (park without a problem!) and most of the visitors are french - hence why they have a number of restaurants and bars/cafes as you step off the beach.

This region has some of the sunniest weather in France - last summer frequently 80 degrees in both May and October.

What makes this property unique

BBq'ing and relaxed outdoor meals with produce you've bought from the food markets with local wine that's from a small vineyard - not an industrialised process.

Spending time around the pool in the sun and reading and truly relaxing.

Getting used to the sounds of and seeing birds, butterflies and unusual insects and pleasurably adapting to the overall lack of traffic noise.

Knowing that there are so many places within reach it could take a long time to discover them all so you plan to come back
