About this property
Stazzo Chivoni, A XIX Century Country House - A Paradise away from it All!
Surrounded by 2 hectares of ground, the place offers quiet and silence and has a very nice view of the surrounding hills and the village of Luogosanto (5 km away).
Thanks to its thick granite walls the house is fresh even in the heat of summer. All rooms are simply furnished but comfortable and tastefully decorated. Sheltered by main winds, the place benefits from an ideal weather all year round with warm summers and mild winters. The hinterland is rich of dense cork woods, ilex groves and millenary wild olive trees you can explore by car, bike or simply walking around. The Luogosanto region is peppered with country churches, stazzi and archaeological sites. 15 km only from the sea: you may choose between large, unspoilt beaches of the western coast, others where you can try wind/kite sufing, diving and sailing or the beaches of Costa Smeralda on the east coast.

About the host
Hosted by Marzia Sacchi
I moved here from Milan in 2005. I used to work for an airline, but I was tired of my job and the city....Finally, I swapped the city for nature and beaches (15 km away) and for mild, "southern" temperatures. Quite bit of a change!
Here life is really in the slow track: I have time to enjoy nature and relationships, make homemade tagliatelle, watch the stars and the full moon at night, sitting outside in the garden.
During winter time I like to walk in the countryside and pick some myrtle, or spend some time on deserted beaches.
With Leo, my ex-husband, we enjoyed discovering new bays and small islands in the National Park of La Maddalena with our small sailing boat.
I also love furnishing and decorating my stazzo which is now very original yet simple and cosy.

Why they chose this property
I like this place because it is quiet, with unspoilt Nature and near the coast. In season is not crowded.

• Wine tasting in the region of Vermentino.

What makes this property unique
Enjoy peace and silence with no neighbors! Explore nature and the real Sardinian way of life, getting to know friendly locals. who sell fresh eggs, organic vegetables and jams!
It is a nice, large and cosy house (with a huge garden), hard to find in other parts of Sardinia and strategically located between Archaeological sites, gorgeous beaches and rural villages.
A Slow holiday in Sardinia: homemade wines, huge garden, rustic suite ... hike among cork oaks, snooze in a hammock, snorkel rocky bays.
Chivoni's quiet and relaxed atmosphere and its proximity to a small country village not yet tainted by mass tourism make it the ideal place for a holiday in close contact with the sea, nature and tradition.
Wild, unspoiled and off the beaten track beaches in the west, water sports paradise and beaches with facilities – sun umbrellas and loungers – at Porto Pollo and Palau or more fashionable beaches along the Costa Smeralda. In the North, Corsica and the enchanted islands of Archipelago della Maddalena are easily reached by boat.
