We're now taking bookings for 2026-2030.

4-30 night stays available.

Discounts for 2 guests, 14 night or longer stays & NHS workers.

Saturday arrivals preferred, other days on request, subject to availability, but we aim to be flexible so just ask me what you need.

Maximum 6 adults, plus baby in cot on request.

Rates include a welcome hamper, twice weekly maid service, towels, bedlinen, aircon & unlimited free Wi-Fi.

Greek accommodation/tourist tax is payable during your stay. 2026 tax is 15 euros per night per villa (not per person) & is payable on arrival.

Peaceful, private & not overlooked, this 3 en suite bedroom villa, has unrestricted sea views & a large infinity pool, situated in pretty countryside in sought after Old Skala area, 10 mins drive to Skala town & its long sandy beaches, beach sports & tavernas.

The spacious open plan villa has air-conditioning & heating throughout & is comfortably furnished & well equipped to suit a couple or large family, with lots of extra comforts including free unlimited Wi-Fi, UK TV, bluetooth speaker, badminton & tennis rackets, games/DVD/CD/book library, Egyptian cotton bedding, cool box, 2 large indoor and 2 large outdoor sofas. Private chef, massage & beauty, chauffeur & grocery delivery service are available on request at additional charge.

The villa comfortably sleeps 6, in 3 sea view, en-suite bedrooms, all similar size. A king size bedroom downstairs leads out onto the pool terrace. Two twin bedrooms upstairs share a large balcony & can be made into super-king size beds on request. A baby or young child can be accommodated in a cot or fold down bed on request (with extra linen charge).

A large floodlit infinity pool measures 13m x 5m, depth 0.6m - 1.9m, perfect for swimming laps & room for children to play & swim - children must be always be supervised.

Outside a large shady covered terrace with bougainvillea clambering up the pillars is a great outdoor living, dining & snoozing space, with a dining suite & 2 large sofas to relax & escape the midday heat.

A large balcony & huge sunny patio with loungers, parasols & BBQ gives everyone space to relax.

Located in South East Kefalonia, near Skala, Katelios, and Poros, in a beautiful area with mountain & beach views, there are lots of walking & cycling trails, a great choice of golden sandy beaches, from quiet Mounda 'turtle' beach, to Skala's 3 km long sandy beach, with deserted quiet stretches, as well as boat trips from the beach, water sports, tavernas & beach bar service, depending on which area you choose. Local landmarks include Skala's Roman Villa, Mycenaic Tomb and Moni Iperagias Theotokou Atrou.

Registered on the Greek short term rental platform AMA 00003459725, EOT Greek tourist licence MHTE 0830K10000864901, and swimming pool operational licence N.3766/09, confirm Villa Ambelonas has been inspected by Fire & Safety Officers & the Greek Tourism Organisation, who certify the villa & pool conform to Government safety standards.

Pets, on-site parties and group events are not permitted sorry.

We love watching the yachts & cruise ships sailing by & enjoying the views across the sea to Olympia on mainland Greece & the neighbouring island of Zante. We hope you love the villa as much as we do - happy holidays!

Changeover day in peak season is usually Saturday, with other days on request, coinciding with the widest choice of direct flight options to Kefalonia (EFL) including Gatwick, Manchester, Heathrow, Stansted & Bristol. May & October we can be flexible on arrival day and length of stay, contact me with any special requests.

Home from Home

Amazing villa, had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable family holiday.Pool was amazing, waking up to the views was a dream. Pool was in the shade from around 7pm, which was perfect for an evening swim to cool down without worrying about the kids burning.Crazy hairpin turn on the way up, but mastered this after a day or so lol.Our hire car lacked in power a little, so we had some struggles the firat day navigating some of the hill climbs but you easily get used to it.The welcome hamper was such an amazing touch as we arived late in the day so all the shops had closed. Would 100% recommend this villa for a family holiday and we will definitely be visiting again!Thanks to Irene the amazing host for letting us stay and to Elaine the fab cleaner who was so lovely.

Stunningly beautiful!!

What can we say, perfect villa in such a stunning location. Did wonder where we were going, down the tiny little road but wow was it worth it. Don't think you could better the view anywhere in the world, absolutely stunning. Villa was perfect, lovely surprise hamper when we arrived even down to the lil pot of Nescafé so we could have a coffee straightaway, amazing. Never had such a fully equipped kitchen before! everything you could think of to make your stay perfect and home from home. We would rate this villa 11 out of 10 and would definitely love to go back. Perfect holiday, thank you so much xx

Lovely Villa

There is no point repeating all the points in the previous reviews - just to say that we endorse everything that is in them, it's all true. The pool is big enough to have a proper swim, it has massage jets which are fun, and the underwater pool lights add to the night-time ambience. There is very little light pollution here, and on our last night we lay on our backs with our legs dangling in the pool looking at the constellations and shooting stars - superb. All the windows have flyscreens so you can leave the windows open to get a lovely through draught - even though it was hot we barely need the aircon. The beach at Mounda was our favourite, a 15 minute drive to a wonderful long sandy beach, gently shelving into the warm sea, that must be one of the best beaches on Kefalonia . Great holiday!

Wir haben die Woche in diesem wunderbaren Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Die friedvolle Ruhe , das super ausgestattete Haus, der traumhafte Pool, mit diesem gigantischem Blick einfach nur zauberhaft.Alles war super sauber, wir wurden mit einem liebevoll eingekauften Korb und einer gekühlten Flasche Wein verwöhnt. Der Kontakt war sehr herzlich . Wir können nur empfehlen dieses tolle Anwesen zu mieten.

Traumhaft!

Wir hatten wunderbare und sehr erholsame Tage an diesem traumhaften Ort. Das Haus bietet mindestens alles, was man benötigt, die Betten sind bequem, die Küche groß und gut sortiert. Dass jedes Schlafzimmer ein eigenes Bad hatte, war für uns als Familie sehr komfortabel! Die Lage des Hauses ist unbeschreiblich, ein 180 ° Blick auf den Peloponnes und umliegende Inseln, der große (im Oktober schon sehr erfrischende ;-)) Infinity-Pool und die vielen Möglichkeiten, auf der Terrasse zu sitzen/liegen etc. Da musste man sich schon sehr aufraffen, diesen Ort für Ausflüge überhaupt zu verlassen. Obwohl auch die Umgebung sehr schön und das Aufraffen wert ist! Die Kommunikation mit Irene war hervorragend, ebenso die mit Elaine vor Ort, wir fühlten uns rundum gut und sehr gastfreundlich betreut, herzlichen Dank! Genossen haben wir vor allem den traumhaften Blick, die absolute Ruhe und das leise Bimmeln der Ziegen und Schafe im Hintergrund sowie den Platz und Komfort der Villa. Absolute Empfehlung!

Fabulous!!

Had an amazing stay at Ambelonas Villa, the villa and location are incredible. Irene made us feel so welcome when booking and throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and she gave us so much information to enhance our holiday. We felt totally looked after, with Elaine only a short distance away if we had any difficulties. This is the most beautiful, tranquil place we have ever stayed and can’t wait to go back next year.

Family holiday in skala

This is a unique villa stay due to the amazing view and location. It is based in old skala so a car is essential and you have to be willing to drive to beach, restaurants, town etc. However, what you get is a beautiful View, complete privacy and lots of friendly goats! The house is clean, has everything you might need and Irene and the house keeper helped with anything we needed during our stay, The welcome basket on arrival was a lovely touch. We loved it and made the most of the view and amazing pool during our stay.

Absolutely amazing villa. Spotlessly clean, amazing view and peaceful location - very private. Some nice touches from the owners (welcome pack with basic foodstuff, cool box for trips out). Lovely villa - very clean and well equipped. The welcome pack is a nice touch. The roads are very windy - lots of hairpins. Local super market in Skala was fine for all our needs and nearest taverna is very good but it’s a 20 minute walk away . Lots of tavernas in Skala we only tried a couple and both were very good .

Fab location

The villa has everything you could need and the owners are so helpful. The views are amazing, hearing the bells on the goats in the morning and evening as they came up and down the mountain just added to the relaxed feeling. I very rarely say I will return anywhere but this villa is so wonderful I will book it again.

What a view! Great villa quiet location :-)

We had a brilliant week for half term October. Weather was warm low 20’s but still lovely to laze by the pool, a day of rain but didn’t stop us exploring . The villa is very comfortable and had everything we needed, the grocery concierge service from bond Viveur was brilliant, cold beer in the fridge when we arrived was just perfect. We loved the location of the villa , in the hills with the goats and sheep and the view is amazing and you get the sun all day by the pool. Being October it was the very end of season and mostly all tavernas were closed but we liked the quiet and we almost had the beach to ourselves at Kaminia. We liked the tavernas in Kateleios and poros plus the amazing butchers there ! Would definitely recommend this villa and we hope to return next year.

We had a great holiday. Although we were up a mountain it was great being away from the small town centre. The villa was spotlessly clean and had great facilities. The town itself is very quiet at this time of year but the weather was mostly great and overall we had a lovely week. Would happily return.

You won't want to leave.

The property is approached by a narrow road that winds up the hillside and is home to many goats. This was the start of a fabulous week. The property is lovely with views to instigate jealousy from friends on your Facebook page! The only sound you will hear is the melodic chime of the goats' bells. The house is really well appointed and we arrived to a welcome basket which included the very necessary English tea. The bed linen was fresh and of good quality and the rooms all had aircon when it got a little too hot. There are ample books and DVDs to choose from which catered to all of our tastes. The pool was very clean and the pool guy came very discreetly early in the morning to keep it looking good. Outside there are plenty of sunbeds, parasols, tables and chairs. No need to fight over who gets there towel down first! Just down the hill is a lovely taverna with good food and really friendly welcoming staff. Skala is full of places to eat and all reasonably priced. Would we stay here again? That gets a big resounding yes. Our only caveat is could you arrange for the wasps to move to another hillside as they were a tad annoying. It is a gorgeous house in a gorgeous location.

What an amazing villa!

Villa Ambelonas is amazing! It is situated on the hills about the town of Skala so hiring a car is essential. The villa is positioned so that it is not overlooked and it doesn't overlook any other villas so you really do have an uninterrupted view of Skala and beyond to Zakynthos and mainland Greece. The pool is a good size (approx 12 metres long) and the terrace is well equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. There is often a breeze which is helpful as otherwise it might be too hot at times. The inside of the villa is comfortable and well equipped. All the rooms have ensuite bathrooms and there is air conditioning in every room. The villa very clean on arrival with towels provided for both inside and around the pool. Elaine visited during our stay to change towels, sheets and give the place a clean. She was really friendly and was very helpful with tips on places to visit. Irene is lovely! She was extremely helpful with answering questions prior to our holiday. She was quick to respond when I sent an email and gave me good advice on car hire. We visited the beaches at Kaminia and Mouda Beaches where there was a sandy beach and clear water. You could hire sunbeams and umbrellas for a few euros. At Kaminia beach there is a lovely restaurant called Anemos where we had lunch and also dinner. The food was really good and it had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Other restaurants we visited in/near Skala were Old Times, Mikelatos and Kelari Taverna (which is very close to the villa and you can walk there). I would highly recommend Irene and Rob's villa. It is very peaceful and relaxing. A great place to stay.

Fantastic!

This is our 5th visit to this beautiful villa, which is very quiet, not overlooked and with fantastic views of Scala and across the sea to mainland Greece and Zante. There is everything you could wish for in this beautifully clean villa, it is really a home from home, housekeeping is exceptional and nothing is too much trouble. The infinity pool and patio area is just wonderful! The local Kerali Taverna is a must for local cuisine and views, and the staff are friendly and very helpful. We have already booked for next year as we love it so much. The owners, Irene and Robert, are always extremely helpful and accommodating, and a pleasure to liaise with.

Una vila magnifica, con tutti i confort. La posizione è superba, sopra Skala, una location ottima con spiagge bellissime e tutte le comodità. Siamo rimasti molto colpiti dall'accoglienza: al nostro arrivo, la sera tardi, abbiamo trovato caffè, latte, formaggio, biscotti, pane, vino...La casa è perfettamente attrezzata, ha tre camere molto confortevoli (con aria condizionata), un bel salone, una piscina magnifica. E' in perfetto ordine, molto pulita e il servizio (giardiniere, pulizie) eccellente. La consiglio vivamente.

Beautiful property with amazing sea views

A high spec, well equipped Villa. If it's sea views, peace and quiet and a great view you want, look no further. Irene and the local team help ensure you have everything you need. Ideal for family groups and anyone who loves a good pool and relaxed evening bbq's. Location is 5 mins drive to local village for supplies, but local taverna within 1.5km does good food and delivers.
