About this property

Queen Mary House: Very large holiday home with superb sea views

Built in the Art Deco era, this three-storey, end-of-terrace house (formerly two adjacent houses) offers bright rooms, sea views, and sleeping arrangements for up to 20 people – all in a fantastic clifftop position overlooking Sheringham beach.

The house has been arranged with large family gatherings in mind, and we’ve tried our best to cater for all your needs. On the ground floor there is a very large, open-plan living area with a well-stocked kitchen, ample comfortable seating, and a large dining table. There’s also a games room with table football and pool/snooker, and an enclosed, sea-facing patio with outdoor furniture and a barbecue.

In terms of location, you’d be hard-pressed to find somewhere better. The (dog-friendly) East Beach is only three minutes’ walk away, the North Norfolk Coastal Path begins almost on our doorstep, and Sheringham town centre (known for its old-fashioned seaside atmosphere and thriving independent shops) is just five minutes’ walk away.

An amazing property, the photos don't do it justice. All the bedrooms are of a really good size and the views of the sea are breathtaking. Kitchen is more than well equipped and caters really well for a large party.The location is fantastic, easy walk into Sheringham itself and so close to the beach, just a five minute walk. And in the other direction on the doorstep is a lovely walk along the clifftop.The Games room was very much appreciated by everyone as well as the books, games and jigsaws in the living/dining area on the ground floor which also had fantastic sea views as well as ample seating for us all.

This property is absolutely superb for a family reunion. The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped, nothing we needed was missing, and there was plenty of cutlery and crockery. We were quite a diverse family group of all ages but were able to arrange ourselves, in nice family groupings, as well as singles and couples in this large property. There is ample room to spread out and the facilities are very good; plenty of toilets and bathrooms and a very good sized kitchen, plenty of equipment.

Somehow the photos don’t give how spacious it is. It was an absolute joy when I walked in. The grandchildren didn’t want to leave. Loads of comfy furniture to enable family to have a good catch up. Equipment in the kitchen made catering so easy.

Perfect stay for the larger family.

We have returned from another wonderful stay at Queen Mary House in Sheringham, the third or fourth stay there, we think. The accommodations is large, clean and homely - an ideal gathering place for us, our children and grandchildren. The location offers everything within easy distance, from coastal walks to trips into quaint, unspoilt Sheringham itself with its steam railway small, independent shops and restaurants. We’ve not been disappointed yet.

We first went on holiday to Sheringham with our four children in 1994 and loved its unspoiled character. We bought a holiday home there in 2005 and the opportunity to purchase Queen Mary House followed in 2007. We were knocked out by the position looking directly out to sea - as are all of the visitors to Seacliff. We love visiting Sheringham and the nearby coastline with opportunities to mess about in boats and then come "home" to all the facilities in Sheringham and the friends that we have made locally.

We are always available to contact during your stay and have local help to cover most situations.
