A wonderful feast.-una festa meravigliosa

The property had beautiful gardens, well appointed apartments and a gracious and always helpful host. Children enjoyed the pool a great deal during hot afternoons. Conveniently located for day trips by train or car to Florence and historic and scenic hill towns.

Wonderful town, property and owners

Liliana and Dante were extremely kind and accommodating. The property is huge. We visited with 6 different families - 25 people and we had room to spare. Arezzo is a great town, and we were within 30 mins driving from many of the must-visit Tuscan towns. I highly recommend this property and hope to visit again!

Amazing experience and top level service!

Our stay at the villa was outstanding! Not only was the property lovely, the grounds and view stunning and the location perfect (easy walk to charming Arezzo with great shops and restaurants) but the hosts went above and beyond to create a magical experience for us and our guests: private chef, trip to olive oil farm with incredible lunch and wine tasting and everything we asked! So grateful and highly recommend!

Perfection!

It was everything we wanted. We stayed with 30 friends for a birthday bash. The place has lots of apartments so it never felt crowded. The villa itself has so many special places to relax and play it meant you could chill out in the gardens or party by the pool. The host was fantastic, helpful but also respected our privacy. It was honestly the best weekend of my life and the villa / staff were fundamental! Thankyou!

We stayed for a week in this beautiful Villa and enjoyed a relaxing and wonderful week. The location was walking distance to the town and close to a supermarket. All facilities are as described. The owners Liliana and Dante were extremely helpful and available at all times for advice and support when needed. We had a celebratory meal organised by Liliana which was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble. In all we had 26 people and a baby. Would definitely return and recommend

The Property - Villa Rossi Mattei is a beautiful and massive property. It has incredible views, grounds, and living spaces for guests. The villa comfortably slept 23 of us, with ages ranging from 2 years old to 94 years old. The property is up in a park close to town, where you feel tucked away and secluded while still only being minutes away from the center of Arezzo. The Host - I feel confident saying that Liliana is easily one of the best hosts on this website. My fiance and I decided to host our wedding on this property, and Liliana spent a year planning the event with us. She is one of the kindest, easygoing, and responsive people I have ever dealt with, and made our vision a reality. We brought 100 people from all around the world to her home, and she worked through every last detail with us to make it all work. The villa is beautiful, and worth the trip by itself, but the hospitality and care of Liliana makes everything so much more special. I cannot recommend staying here more.

Gorgeous Villa, Gracious Host

This beautiful, historic villa was the perfect place to celebrate our ten-year reunion with 14 members of our friends and family. The views are incomparable, and we enjoyed dazzling sunsets each night. The rooms of the villa are well-suited for housing many guests, as they're divided into private suites for families or a few couples, each with their own kitchens (with coffee maker!), bathrooms and sitting rooms. We had so much space to stretch out and chose one central kitchen to meet in every morning to plan our adventures over coffee. The lovely pool is another great gathering spot, and my mother commandeered it for water aerobics whenever we weren't swimming. From the moment of my reservation, Liliana, our wonderful host, was a guide and godsend. She helped me book our transportation, a private chef, and some of our adventures (the wine tasting is not to be missed). She had endless patience for my many questions and adapted to our guests' needs (an airline snafu meant we had other guests arriving later, but she helped arrange transport for them as well). Snacks and drinks greeted us upon arrival, and her kind touches continued throughout our week-long stay. She and Dante are gems! The villa is in an ideal location, walkable to Arezzo and a nearby grocery store, but secluded enough to let you soak up the bucolic Tuscan countryside. We enjoyed the historic touches throughout the buildings, including the pieces from the original monastery. We would love to return soon!

THE PERFECT PLACE FOR A FAMILY REUNION

The 20 of us had a marvelous time together in this spacious, beautiful villa. Pictures cannot do it justice because it is so large. For instance I had the main apartment and the photo in the listing just showed the table and chairs, and not the two large sitting areas in the same room with comfortable couches. This room was perfect for meals that we ate together, which were many. Our other favorite gathering spot was the huge cabana by the pool. There were 3 large round tables with seating for us all. The grill is a flat brick lined surface for charcoal cooking. Luckily one of our number was terrific making the coals and cooking. It also has two comfortable couches and chair set. The photo does not convey that size at all. All apartments had nice modern kitchens. What they offered varied and I think the main problem is that having large groups things get moved from one apartment to another. Our hostess, Lilly, and her family live next door and she was a very friendly, caring and knowledgeable neighbor. She ran the catered welcome dinner for us in the lower courtyard and we all enjoyed ourselves with good company, good food and lots of good wine. I hope we can do it again in 5 years.

Incredible villa set in the hills with amazing panoramic views of Arezzo

We enjoyed every minute of our trip to Arezzo. The villa was so much larger than we expected! We had 25 people stay with us, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The villa was incredibly clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed spending time by the beautiful pool. We were lucky enough to host our wedding at the villa. Liliana was so incredible! She planned and organized the entire wedding from start to finish. Everything from the flowers to the dinner to the dancing was absolutely amazing. During our stay, Liliana also planned a trip to Montalcino to a great winery. We also had a few different cooking classes with Chef Fabrizio. He is an incredible Chef who we all learned a lot from! We can’t wait to make our own pasta at home. We especially enjoyed staying in Arezzo because it was a real, authentic Italian vacation. Not much is catered to tourists and for that, we loved it even more. Thank you Liliana and Dante for an amazing vacation and wedding!!! We will meet again soon!

Great Villia!

This villa is spacious and the grounds are beautiful. We loved hanging out poolside at night and catching up with everyone. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms updated and clean. Arezzo is a great city and had a train station that made it easy to get all over Italy. We would love to go back!

Stunning place to relax

We had such a wonderful family holiday - all 28 of us - in the beautiful Villa. Liliana is a superb host always willing to help, provide excellent advice and full of knowledge of the estate and the region. The layout of the Villa is superb. Spacious apartments where you can find space to chill as well as excellent communal areas that can easily fit a family as large as ours. Arezzo is a stunning town - a short drive or 30 minute walk - and has an abundance of great restaurants. So I'd thoroughly recommend the Villa and we cant wait to come back.
