The house is a great location, and we had a wonderful time exploring Marseillan and surrounding area but there were a few maintenance issues with the house. The pool is fantastic (standing depth for adults the whole way) and fenced, although one of the gates didn’t lock properly so was able to be pushed open by the kids.Great number of bathrooms and bedrooms for our party of 11 so we had plenty of space.Really well equipped kitchen with lots of crockery, utensils and cleaning products. And lots of essentials in the cupboard.The house wasn’t particularly well cleaned when we arrived but a pool man came twice to maintain the pool. The basement rooms all had a musty smell and the shower didn’t drain properly.Aircon in two of the bedrooms didn’t work but there were freestanding fans so it wasn’t too much of an issue.The outside decking area needs to be fixed or replaced as it has dangerous holes in it that were covered with mats, and splintered in places with nails sticking out.

Vi ankommer til et hus, som er meget slidt og bære præg af kun og være gjort let rent indenfor i huset. Ude køkkenet var meget beskidt med gamle fedt rester omkring gasblus og spindelvæv over det hele. AC virkede ikke på 2 værelser i stueplan, Americano køle/fryseskab i køkken virkede ikke, og meldte fejl pga. udskiftning af filter og blev udskiftet. Værelser i kælder lugter meget af kælder, og kælder er derfor ikke et rart sted og sove/opholde sig. Udvendige markiser er meget slidte og hænger i laser ligesom havemøbler generelt er meget slidte.

Perfect accommadation for a large group.

From the moment we walked into the property we were amazed by how fantastic it was. There was so much space for all 11 of us and plenty to keep both kids and adults entertained. The property was beautiful and well kept. We found the owners to be very kind and helpful. The location is perfect, only a short stroll for our daily croissants! Stunning Villa for Perfect Family Holidays

The Lilley, Homans and Davies families 15 - 29 July 2017 Our recent two week stay at Villa Suzy was fabulous. We loved the villa and the location. As a party of 13 it is hard to find something to suit everyone's needs but this villa managed that with plenty of space and lots to do. The villa itself is beautifully furnished and there are lovely shaded outdoor spaces to use too. The kitchen was well equipped and having two fridges (three, if you include the one in the outside kitchen) was a real bonus when you are catering for a large group. The local area offered something for everyone. Marseillan Page and Cap d’Agde were close by for our teens/young adults to sample the nightlife, whilst the grown ups preferred to wander down to our local bar, Cafe du Boulevard, just a 5 minute walk away in Marseillan old town (where we quickly became well known!). We all loved Marseillan and found lots of lovely places to eat, though in the end our favourite became the Restaurant du Boulevard which provided great value set menus that everyone in our party enjoyed. Our evenings invariably finished at Cafe du Boulevard, which just happens to be next door. We needed to speak french as we found very little english was spoken but this just made the experience more lovely for us. Our days were mostly spent locally at the beach or villa but we did all go kayaking at Roquebrun and visited Pezenas, both of which were stunning and great fun. The younger members of our party also went to both Aqualand and the Aquapark which they thoroughly enjoyed. Neil the villa owner and Silviana the local agent were really helpful and responsive. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at villa Suzy.

What a fantastic place to spend a spontaneous holiday with a goup of funny people! The house with its numerous unique rooms - most of them have a little bathroom attached, the garden with lavender bushes, palm trees, beautiful flower bushes, BBQ and cocktail-bar area, an awesome pool with deckchairs, ... it all creates an atmosphere of relaxation and enjoyment. The location of the house is beautiful too. With the bike or by foot you're really quick in the nice town of Marseillan and at the beach.

Best place to stay

I was staying at this mansion with my wife one whole week. It was just perfect. Absolutely everything we were dreaming of was there. A BBQ-Garden. A really big pool. Table Tennis. Bikes etc. Everything was clean and fresh. The car is always save in the driveway. Some very good bakeries are in about 5 minutes reach by foot. Best for breakfast! The center of the town Marsellian is also very close with lots of shops and very good restaurants. It is a very lovely town with friendly people. Also the beaches there are absolutely awesome. It felt really indigenous. And that’s what it’s all about! I can warmly recommend this estate.

The stay was nery cool. The listing description was accurate. The town Marseillan is very lovely. Good bakerys and everything you need is in reach. The whole estate was clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend this estate. The sandy beach is a bit far away to walk but still easy reachable by bike.

Amazing place with good restaurants around

Me and my friends were quite flabbergasted when we first arrived. The impression you get upon entering the driveway is amazing. We could easily park three cars on the driveway and the ample front garden is stunningly beautiful, covered with palm trees and gorgeous plants. The three floored house itself is extremely spacious, offering a sizable living room, loads of spacious bedrooms as well a nice basement with plenty of entertainment and a small gym. Furthermore, the bathrooms are designed charmingly and are able to offer more than pleasant shower experiences. The garden in the back of the house was one of our favorite places to spend our time at. As it was veritably hot during our stay, we were very grateful for the amazing swimming pool that found it self occupied at day and night. Also, the women of our group enjoyed the outdoor kitchen very much while the men considered the outdoor BBQ a perfect place to restore their manhood by grilling dead animals. Almost our entire group is still very young in their heads, which is why we noticed with pleasure that the house provided us with heavenly gifts like a trampoline, table tennis, a pool table. It's awfully hard to be bored when you stay at this villa. Believe me, we tried really hard - some of us never even left the villa. We'll be back, that's a sure thing.

Amazing place with attention to detail

I loved the stay at the mansion and in Marseillan. The house is so spacious and got something for every need - table tennis, playstation, gym, bbq area, pool etc. The only downside is that you're not tempted to leave the house very often as the sunshine and pool make you lazy.

Ten out of ten - a wonderful holiday

We had a wonderful week at this fabulous house in the south of France. We travelled with 1 other family plus 2 grandparents and the house was just perfect! The house was absolutely spotless on arrival, with lots of lovely touches that showed the owners really care about the property and your holiday. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped, and the living areas were more than big enough to accomodate us all very comfortably! The children loved the playroom and snooker table downstairs, Grandma enjoyed reading in the shade in the garden and the grown ups enjoyed relaxing by the pool with a chilled glass of local PIcPoul! The town is just a short walk away, with lots of lovely restaurants in the port. We also enjoyed buying the wonderful local produce in the market and cooking in the covered barbeque area at the house. Fabulous beaches nearby and some lovely little towns such as Sete that are great for a day trip. I cant recommend this house enough for a relaxing holiday. We will definitely be back!

Very special Villa

We spent two wonderful weeks in this villa in Marseillan in July 2015 and all I can say is that it was the most wonderful holiday that we have ever spent in France. This villa is simply perfect. We were three families with ages ranging from 85yrs to 7yrs including 3 teenagers and everyone was happy all of the time. The house is amazing, air-conditioned throughout, excellent Wi-Fi, indoor cinema, gym, table tennis, pool table and even a mini keyboard for those musically inclined. I am into cooking when I am away and to say this kitchen had every possible utensil and pot is not an understatement. Also something we struggled with in other villas being such a large gang is the lack of fridge space. Well that is definitely not a problem in this villa. There were 3 very large fridges and 2 freezers! Pool was great, warm and plenty beds to lounge around. All the bedrooms were a good size and there was so much space both inside and outside the villa that we never felt that we were tripping over each other at any time. Marseillan itself is a beautiful spot. It is not a built up commercial tourist spot but there are still plenty of great restaurants and a beautiful harbour, which was just a short walk away. There was plenty activities within close driving distances for the teens and kids to enjoy like Water Park, go-karting, canoeing and zip lining. The owners of this villa have put great effort into making sure everything is just perfect and special note of thanks to their lovely manager, Silviana who was there for anything we needed. We are already planning our return!!

We have just returned from a family holiday at this villa. Our family spanned 3 generations and we were all catered for in this fantastic villa. There is ample seating for outside dining with a huge table and very comfortable chairs. Lots of areas to go if you want to relax away from the pool area. My grandson enjoyed the trampoline and the adults had fun on the ping pong table. The owners have thought of everything from board games and DVDs to excellent kitchen equipment and utensils. The outdoor kitchen area was a great plus for us also. The beds are really comfortable and the villa is spotless. The garden is well maintained. This villa is near to the town and it really is just a short walk. We walked down every morning to get fresh bread and dined in the port area most days. Sam the property manager dropped by just to make sure we had everything we needed. This is a great property if you want to be near to shops and restaurants without driving.

Great Location

We had a lovely holiday - just on the edge of this very pretty town. There is a fantastic harbour with lots of great restaurants all within walking distance and the beach is a short drive away. The house is great - very spacious with a lovely veranda overlooking the gardens and also the flexibility of having a great decking area to the back of the house close to the pool and outdoor kitchen - so you can get the sun whatever the time of day. The kids loved the den area on the lower ground floor with their own cinema room!

Great Villa and holiday.

We stayed here in early summer and loved it. The house is huge and set in a really nice garden with a palm tree. There is a trampoline and table tennis and the pool is just perfect. There are things that the owners don't even mention like an outdoor kitchen with BarBQ and even a cinema room in the caves. It was brilliant and the best place we have rented. We want to go back. The village of Marseillan is quaint with lots of nice restaurants serving great food but not too expensive. The beaches in this part of the world are also brilliant. I can honestly say there wasn't a thing wrong with the whole holiday, it was amazing.

Fabulous holiday villa

We have stayed at Villa Suzy, for the last 3 years and we honestly can't fault it. It easily accommodates 3 families providing enough space, both inside and out, to socialise as a large group or to enjoy more private time. Whilst you never feel like you're living on top of each other, the house still manages to feel very homely and comfortable. It is very well equipped and appointed with a large indoor kitchen as well as outdoor kitchen, barbeque and dining area by the pool and a terrace to the front which overlooks the beautiful garden. Marseillan is a lovely and stylish village with real French charm. It's large enough to have a great selection of restaurants and shops (especially around the port) within walking distance of the house, but small enough to feel welcoming and familiar. In the summer there are regular day and evening markets and other village events to enjoy. The surrounding area is also beautiful with lovely beaches and countryside only a short drive away. Villa Suzy is a perfect holiday house in a lovely part of France and we would highly recommend it.

fantastic family holiday

We had a fantastic family holiday at villa Suzy. We were a large extended family group with grandparents, parents and young children of various ages. The house worked well for everyone. There is the pool (which is secuely fenced off with childproof gates and metal fencing) , large gardens with trampoline, table tennis, cinema room and playroom area. There was loads of space for the children to play freely. There are large gates at the front of the property which when shut makes the whole garden secure. We really liked the way 2 bedrooms are upstairs 3 are downstairs and three are only a few steps up from the main part of the house. This meant we all had our own areas of the house The cooking facilities are amazing with a well equipped indoor kitchen. We loved the outdoor kitchen and we had loads of beauiful alfresco meals cooked on the bbq. We were both in training for a triathlon and found the house and surrounding area a great boost to our training. There is a wealth of traffic free cycling paths within minutes of the villa. These can take you along the coast, by the lagoon or along the famous Canal du Midi. There are some bikes at the villa which are free to use. The port area of Marseillan has some beautiful restaurants looking out over the boats. We also enjoyed driving around the local area where we discovered some lovely beaches and pretty market towns. It's a lovely villa in a great part of France. We really recommend it and would definitely go again.

Amazing place

We had a superb holiday at Villa Suzy. The villa was beyond even our high expectations. It coped with 3 families of 4 easily, with enough private space for each family and some excellent social space. The outdoor pool and BBQ area is superb and the kids loved the pool, table tennis and cinema room. Having the bikes free to use was a bonus, especially as there is an excellent cycle path that follows miles of flat and smooth beachside paths. The beach and beach bars were very high quality and Marseillan village itself is a lovely authentic french village with high quality and very reasonably priced restaurants and shops. Will definitely come back. Thank you.

Perfect for Families

We spent a wonderful week in this villa with two other families. It's so spacious and well laid out that even with a big group of adults and children, no one felt on top of each other. The kids loved the pool (securely gated off), the garden and playing hide and seek! The adults particularly enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and bbq, there's even a selection of outdoor seating areas. Marseillan is full of character with a pretty port, some excellent restaurants and lots of chic boutiques to explore. There is lots to see and do in the surrounding area including great beaches, but to be honest it's hard to leave the peace and charm of the villa! It's really well equipped and I can't think of anything that was missing.

We have just returned from this villa and OMG its was gorgeous and completely equipped for all families and all ages. There were 9 of us and there was more than enough room for all of us to have our own time, the decor was lovely, the village is gorgeous and there is a fabulous market and restaurants. We will definitely be looking to return and will definitely recommend.

Beautiful and Luxurious French Villa

We have just returned from staying at one of the best equipped villas in the area. We comfortably stayed with 2 other families, such is the vast amount of space in this luxurious villa and it's gardens. The town of Marseillan is very pretty and a must for lovers of rose wine and seafood. Local produce is amazing. The villa however was by far the best part of the holiday with the owners going to great lengths to ensure that our stay was truly memorable. It suited and easily accommodated our large group of 15 by offering different areas for the children to play and for the families to either enjoy different parts of the house and gardens or come together for huge feasts cooked in the covered outdoor kitchen/BBQ. The heated outdoor pool is very private and fenced off to ensure younger children cannot access the area without an adult. Easily the best villa we have stayed in.

Why they chose this property

When we first came on holiday here, we fell in love with the charm of Marseillan town, the beautiful beaches and surrounding countryside. There are plenty of lovely restaurants to choose from and also local shops to buy delicious food and BBQ and cook at home. There was a recent article that described Marseillan as “St Tropez before Bardot” and that does sum up the charm, warmth and style of this lovely village.

What makes this property unique

The facilities at the villa are fantastic with swimming, bbq, trampoline, lovely internal and external living space. When you do go out into Marseillan, there are so many great restaurants to visit and the views around the port are lovely. The close proximity to the beaches is wonderful and Agde, Pezanas, Cap D'Agde are all within a 20 minute drive. Carcassone and Montpellier are also close for day trips.
