Holiday home located 6 kilometres from the coast, on the outskirts of the small town of Ingenio, in a country estate of 10,000 square metres given over to cultivation. Inside the house are two double bedrooms, two single bedrooms, a spacious kitchen with a dining room, two bathrooms and a large, very comfortable living room with a fireplace. The house has been decorated combining colour with stone and wood. Outside there is a pleasant Canarian wooden roofed terrace that gives directly onto a spacious patio where there is a barbecue, and sun loungers to enjoy the sunshine

A peaceful getaway

A lovely traditional style Spanish finca which had everything that we needed to make our stay here comfortable and enjoyable. It is situated ten minutes walking distance to the bars and shops, which we enjoyed using, but equally it was very pleasant to sit in the covered veranda or sunbathe on the large terrace. If you are looking for peace and quiet than this property is ideal.

The comfortable roofed terras, the large house and the quiet garden. The hospitality, the cleaning/maintenance of the house and the absence of essential starting products such as water, pepper, salt, coffee filter bags (in most houses these are available). It is not hospitable!

Ideal property for island exploring.

Located near the airport, this property is ideally located to explore both the abundance of places of interest in the east and north of Gran Canaria and the popular southern resorts. The house is large, all on one floor and well kept. Rooms are spacious, especially the "master bedroom" and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is adequately equipped for self catering. There is only a small electric counter top oven so cooking a regular size pizza for a family, let alone a few pizzas, is out of the question. Wifi was faultless but we couldn't get chrome cast to work. The property is set in a large garden with a variety of fruit trees, cacti and palm trees and has a dedicated barbeque area. There is a washing machine and outdoor washing line. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Entspannter Urlaub

Großes tolles Ferienhaus, es ist drinnen etwas dunkel, dass ist aber Bauartbedingt, dafür rustikal mit allem was man braucht. Alles ist sauber und aufgeräumt. Wir wurden bei unserer Ankunft schon erwartet, die Schlüsselübernahme war unproblematisch. Die Restaurants sind in ca. 15 min zu Fuß erreichbar, allerdings öffnen viele erst um 20:00 Uhr, aber das ist ja in Spanien normal.

Viel Platz drinnen und draussen

Ein großes Haus, dass genügend Platz bietet um bei schlechtem Wetter innen zu sitzen und bei gutem Wetter auf einer der Terrassen. Die Lage zum Ort ist günstig, in etwa einem Kilometer Entfernung ist alles vorhanden, was man so braucht.

Schöner Ort tagsüber, nachts kalt

Wir haben vor allem die Terrasse und den Garten genossen. Tagsüber war es im Dezember sehr angenehm. Sobald es dunkel wurde, fühlte es sich im Haus klamm und ungemütlich an. Der mobile Heizkörper hilft nur wenig. Und insgesamt sind die Räume dunkel, man braucht viel Licht, auch tagsüber.

Sehr schöne Finca am Rande von Ingenio

Optimal gelegene Finca in sehr ruhiger Lage, schön ausgestattet und die Besitzerin ist sehr nett. Schöner Garten zum Relaxen mit Obstbäumen.

Ein Landhaus zum Wohl fühlen

Hier kann man in ruhiger Lage mit der ganzen Familie oder mit Freunden eine schöne Zeit verbringen. Die rot gestrichenen Wände und Decken wirken etwas dunkel und auch die kleinen Fenster, die mit Klappen zu verschließen sind, lassen nicht viel Licht ins Innere. Im Wohnzimmer befindet sich neben der Eckcouch ein großer Kamin mit allem nötigen Zubehör. Fernseher, WiFi und Elektroheizung sind in gutem Zustand, so wie das ganze Haus sehr sauber und gepflegt ist. Ein riesiges Schlafzimmer, leider nur mit Minifenster, ein weiteres Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und zwei Zimmer mit Einzelbetten. Zwei Badezimmer sind mit Duschen ausgestattet und das warme Wasser ist ausreichen zum ausgiebigen Duschen vorhanden. Das Highlight ist der riesige Garten mit uralten Kakteen, blühenden Pflanzen und sogar mit Bananenstauden. Neben der großen Terrasse mit Sitzecke und Sonnenliegen gibt es noch eine kleine überdachte Terrasse mit einem Grill/Kamin für romantische Abende. Das Auto ist hier unbedingt zu empfehlen und hat auf dem Grundstück einen Stellplatz.

Sauberkeit/ Hygiene werden hier nicht groß geschrieben...

Objekt war wie beschrieben. Gut zu finden und der Nähe des Flughafens. Die Terrasse war wie auf den Bildern schön angelegt. Jedoch war der Zustand im Inneren des Ferienhauses enttäuschend. Die Sauberkeit in den Bädern sowie in der Küche lässt zu wünschen übrig. Es ist zwar fast normal, dass die Fugen im Bad bei Naturstein ausschlagen aber man sollte dies hin und wieder mal reinigen. Zusätzlich war die Toilette und die Dusche nicht ordentlich gereinigt, da noch Spuren vom Vorgänger zu finden waren. Die Küche war spartanisch ausgestattet. Bei unserer Ankunft mussten wir den Vermieter schon auf eine fast leere Gasflasche hinweisen, sollte eigentlich bevor die Gäste anreisen kontrolliert werden. Das Besteck sowie die Gerätschaften wie Ofen, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher waren dermaßen schmutzig, so dass man diese nicht benutzen konnte. Es war so, dass nach unserer direkten Beschwerde noch am selben Tag eine zusätzliche Reinigungskraft der Agentur vor Ort kommen musste, die selbst die Hände über dem Kopf zusammenschlug. Dies fanden wir sehr Schade, da dieses Objekt eigentlich viel Potenzial hätte. Man sieht aber, dass die letzten Jahre hier nicht viel investiert wurde. Wir waren schon in mehreren Ferienhäusern auf der Insel aber sowas hatten wir bisher noch nie angetroffen. In diesem Fall ist Preis Leistung nicht angemessen. Wir werden diese Unterkunft nicht mehr buchen, das steht für uns definitiv fest. Wer auf Hygiene/ Sauberkeit etwas Wert legt, sollte die Finger davon lassen.

Donker, koud, geen persoonlijke touch

Het huis is zeer donker en koud. Op deze locatie van het eiland( oost ter hoogte van de luchthaven) is er enorm veel wind. Het huis heeft twee gammele elektrische verwarmingsapparaten maar deze zijn compleet ontoereikend om enig comfort te bieden. We staken daarom zowel in de ochtend als in de avond de open haard aan, ook ontoereikend. Elke ochtend opstaan was hierdoor een opgave alhoewel het dubbel bed redelijk smal was en de enkele bedden te kort. We gingen alle dagen de zon opzoeken in het zuiden (20km) maar vonden het een opgave om “thuis” te komen. De keuken is slecht uitgerust en enige ondersteuning voor het koken was er niets aanwezig: geen suiker, zout, peper, olie, geen zeepje, water… De keukenschuif viel na twee dagen uit elkaar. Potten, pannen en bestek van inferieure kwaliteit. Het was proper maar daarmee is alles gezegd.

Eine preisgünstige Alternative

Eine individuelle Adresse für Gran Canaria-Urlauber, die den Andrang an der Südküste meiden wollen. Ingenio beherbergt kaum Touristen, ist unspektakulär. Das Objekt ist ganz am Ortsrand, am Aufgang zu den Bergen. Die nähere Umgebung hat noch dörflichen Charakter. Man kann zu Fuß in die Altstadt gehen. Ein Auto ist aber unerlässlich. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Fahrten ins Inselinnere. Die Ausstattung ist rustikal, mit der großzügigen Sonnenterrasse alles in allem gute Voraussetzungen für einen entspannten Urlaub in ruhiger Lage.

Great break from English Weather and Covid Lockdown

We found the property exactly as described in the descriptions. The owner was very responsive and fixed the few things that cropped up very quickly, as well as giving us wood for the barbecue and the living room open fire. We did not expect to be able to pick our own oranges, lemons, bananas, beetroot, and pomegranates from the large garden, so that was a lovely surprise that greatly enhanced breakfast and other meals. The house is on a hill a ten minute walk from the centre of Ingenio. We found the restaurant La Juventud y Tú in Ingenio to be a real gem, very good value for money for nice local food and very friendly service. To go further you will need a car. It is 20 minutes easy drive to the Playa del Ingles which is the best beach. It is 25 minutes to Las Palmas, the capital. We also drove to the Roque Nublo which is an hour on a windy narrow road taking you to 1500 metres via the amazing Caldera. El Lomo is amazing value for money when you consider how much space you are getting. An apartment at the beach which is a third the size costs nearly four times as much. Car hire was very good value too. Everyone was envious of our lovely seven weeks in the Casa El Lomo. We were very lucky to stay there.

Toller Urlaub in ländlicher Umgebung

sehr schöne alte Finca mit tollem Grundstück, sehr zentrale Lage auf der Insel (Höhe Flughafen, 10 Minuten bis zur Autobahn, direkte Verbindungsstraße in die Berge), sehr liebe Hausverwalter, bei Problemen kümmert sich der Eigentümer sofort, die Finca und das Grunstück sind so schön wie auf den Bildern

Urlaub unter freundlichen Einheimischen

Das Haus ist ein typisches kanarisches Bauernhaus und hat viele große und kleine Zimmer. Die Küche ist recht ordentlich ausgestattet. Leider war es abends und nachts ziemlich kalt im Haus, da es nur über 2 elektrische Heizkörper und nucht - wie im Inserat beschrieben - über eine Zentralheizung verfügt. Der Garten ist besitzt eine große Terrasse mit verschiedenen Sitz-/Liegemöglichkeiten. Dass der Vermieter einmal täglich den Gemüsegarten bewirtschaftet, stört nicht sehr. Störender sind da schon eher die Mengen an penetranten Fliegen und die Vielzahl der bellenden Hunde.

Plezierig verblijf in een leuke woning

Ruim huis, volledig ingericht, veel aandacht besteed aan de inrichting, goede internetverbinding, goed startpunt naar allerlei bezienswaardigheden. Supermarkten heel dichtbij, hartelijke ontvangst en de nodige service.

Belle maison typique avec beaucoup de charme dans un lieu très calme

Accueil chaleureux et en français par les personnes en charge de la location. Belle terrasse et grand jardin arboré. Grande maison canarienne typique avec tout le confort, située dans un village paisible loin de la foule touristique du sud de l'île et proche des commerces et de l'aéroport (15 minutes) et idéalement localisée pour visiter toute l île. Nous (couple avec 2 adolescents) avons passé un très bon séjour de deux semaines, reposant et dépaysant. Seul bémol les matelas très mous. Nous recommandons cette location.

Sehr schöne Wohnung, abseits der Touristenmassen

Die Wohnung ist sehr groß, landestypische und sauber. Besteck und Geschirr genügt für 5-6 Personen, könnte aber mehr sein. Man muss mitunter nach jedem Essen spülen, außerdem den Kaffeelöffel abwechselnd benutzen. Sehr positiv, weil in Ferienwohnungen nicht selbstverständlich ist, dass man die Schlafzimmer gut verdunkeln kann. Die Terrasse und der Garten sind ein Traum. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist die etwas lange Auf- und Abfahrt an die Küste. Man muss durch die Stadt fahren und braucht schon 10-15 Minuten bis man an der Küste ist. Zudem sind dann die schönen Strände immer noch mind. 15-30 km entfernt. Dafür ist man aber weit weg vom Trubel des Massentourismus in Maspalomas oder Puerto Rico. Die Wohnung selbst liegt in einer ruhigen Wohngegend, in der man keine Touristen sieht. Wir würden also jederzeit wieder kommen und nehmen für die Ruhe und das Gefühl, nicht zu den Pauschaltouristen zu gehören, gerne die längere Anfahrt zu den Stränden in Kauf. Bäcker und Supermarkt sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen, auch wenn uns das in den ersten beiden Tagen nicht ganz klar war.

Peaceful and secluded

We stayed here for a week in February and it was ideal, as there was an open wood fire for use in the evening as well as other heating if required. It was very peaceful and there was a good selection of restaurants within walking distance. The church was also within easy walking distance if you wanted to go to Mass. A very enjoyable stay.

ruhige Lage, authentischer kanarischer Ort, aufmerksame und liebenswürdige Ansprechpartner vor Ort, die z.B. einen neuen Kinderhochstuhl zum nächsten Tag zur Verfügung stellten.
