We had a relaxing 2 weeks at the hikers cottage, beautiful view and everything you need in this lovely little place. Had some nice walks into Santa Brígida but it was good to have a car to see the island. Would definitely recommend x

Having just got back to normality from snow here, we’re already missing this lovely place. Just our type of rental, compact, cosy and traditional. Love old building that had everything we could have needed and so very reasonably priced too. Okay, the weather didn’t match the abode but it didn’t matter a bit. Comfy bed, small functional kitchen and lovely outdoor surroundings. We also loved the walk into Santa Brigida which only made the trip more enjoyable. The owners were just wonderful and gave us both privacy and a warm welcome. Would recommend this place just for the walking routes available but don’t miss the town, there are lovely places to eat and drink cheaply. Would definitely return. Thank you Ilka.

Did not actually stay there

Cannot really rate anything except for communication with property manager. Unfortunately, we had to cancel last minute because of a death in our family, so we did not actually get to stay there at all. The owner Ilka was so kind as to return some of the money even though she was not required to do so. This means that we will definitely consider choosing Ilka's place in the future if we ever make it to the Canary Islands.

Wunderbare kleine und urige Ferienwohnung, ideal zum überwintern auf Gran Canaria

Ideal war, dass ein Parkplatz auf dem Gelände der Ferienwohnung zur Verfügung stand, liebe Gastgeber, vor allem wunderbare Anbindung an den kleinen Ort Santa Brigitta an die Große Inselhauptstadt, Las Palmas und dem wunderbaren botanischen Garten, der ganz in der Nähe ist, auch in die Berge. Idealer Ausgangspunkt der Destination. Diese kleine Ferienwohnung ist wirklich zu empfehlen.

Die Hütte entspricht genau der Beschreibung, sie ist gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich, alles problemlos und unkompliziert! Die Lage ist praktisch um von dort die ganze Insel zu erkunden.

Authentisches Quartier mit sehr guter Gästebetreuung

La Choza ist ein wunderbares Quartier für Menschen, die individuelles Reisen und eine authentische Unterbringung im Gastland schätzen. Das kleine, urige Ferienhaus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail stilvoll eingerichtet. Alles ist vorhanden, um sich selbst zu versorgen. Unsere ( deutsch sprechenden) Gastgeber waren sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich und immer für uns da. Sie halfen umgehend bei anfallenden Problemen. Die schöne kleine Terrasse konnten wir leider nur selten nutzen, da das Wetter nicht mitspielte. Wir hatten ungewöhnlich viele kühle Tage mit Regen. Der gut funktionierende Kaminofen der Hütte rettete uns und verbreitete wohlige Wärme. Fairerweise muss erwähnt werden, dass La Choza direkt an einer Durchgangsstraße liegt und das Quartier daher für empfindliche Menschen nicht so geeignet erscheint.

Casa muy hogareña

Cogimos la casa con idea de movernos por la isla en coche y dormir en la montaña, y no pudimos elegir mejor. Es una casa pequeña pero muy acogedora, nos sorprendió lo bien que funcionaba todo y lo limpia que estaba, se nota que los dueños le tienen mucho cariño a este lugar. Se duerme muy bien.

Eine liebevoll gestaltete Hütte

Zunächst ein großes Kompliment an den Gastgeber Herrn Emmerich, der mit dieser Hütte etwas ganz besonderes gebaut hat. Leider hat es während unseres Aufenthaltes häufiger geregnet und die Hütte wurde kalt und klamm. Wir haben kräftig mit dem Holzofen eingeheizt aber am Morgen war es trotzdem ungemütlich, auch roch es unangenehm durch die Feuchtigkeit. Wir hatten also mit dem Wetter Pech, wofür die freundlichen Gastgeber natürlich nichts können. Trotzdem sollte man beachten, dass es in dieser Gegend auf Gran Canaria am häufigsten regnet und dann Ist es in der Hütte für unseren Geschmack zu kalt und dunkel. Wir hatten zum Glück noch ein paar Tage im Süden, wo wir trotz gleicher Wetterlage noch viel Sonne tanken konnten.

Sehr schönes Apartamento, witzige Raumaufteilung: Wohnraum (mit Holzofen) liegt drei Stufen tiefer als Bettfläche und Bad. Einfache, aber zweckmässige Unterkunft. Einzig der Lärm der mittelstark befahrenen Strasse (v.a. am Morgen und am Abend), die direkt unter Apartemento vorbeiführt, hat mich gestört.

Santa Brigida ist ein wunderschönes kleines Städtchen und bietet alles, was man braucht: Restaurants, einen Wochenmarkt, 2 Supermärkte, ... "La Choza": das Haus ist urgemütlich, ich habejeden Tag die Terrasse genossen, Wanderungen und Strände sind nahe gelegen. Die Vermieter sind Gastgeber aus Leidenschaft, herzlich, fürsorglich, hilfsbereit, dabei nie aufdringlich.

Kanarische Charme abseits des Massentourismus

Ich habe eine Woche im Mai hier verbracht. Die Vermieter sind bezaubernd, so wie das gesamte Anwesen und die Wanderhütte. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und kann sie uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Im Bett habe ich sehr gut geschlafen, die Dusche war auch kräftig und gut. Bei der Einrichtung fehlt es an nichts (wenn man nicht den Komfort einer Spülmaschine oder Mikrowelle erwartet). Die Lage fand ich sensationell. Man kommt mit dem Auto gut in den Norden sowie in den Süden und kann so die ganze Insel erkunden. Auch landschaftlich ist diese Ecke sehr reizvoll. Die Fahrten durch die Berge habe ich sehr genossen. Es war ein Genuss, am Ende des Tages wieder in La Choza heimzukehren. Diese Hütte würde ich (als Alleinreisende) jedem Hotelzimmer vorziehen.

Heerlijke plek

De vakantie was mede dankzij dit verblijf zeer geslaagd. Het is een knus en gezellig huisje en de open haard zorgt voor de nodige warmte tegen de kou in de bergen. Douche was lekker warm en genoeg water. Enige nadeel was het harde bed icm een plat kussen. Iets zachter matras zou prettig zijn.
