A relaxing stay in the picture perfect area!
Not as dog friendly as hoped and not enough seating for 5 but a beautiful setting, well located for exploring the area.
The cottage was exactly as advertised and was perfect for our family of four with a small dog. The swimming pool, field and games room were a real bonus which our kids loved. We were lucky with the weather and the countryside immediately next to the property is very peaceful. The location is perfect for getting down to Saunton Sands and Woolacombe but also close to Lynmouth and Combe Martin. Would also be perfect for a group of families booking multiple cottages on the site. We'd love to go back again.
Beautiful property, a little hard to find given that there is no signal in the area & my satnav gave up but nevertheless it was worth the wait. Really comfortable, quirky little cottage. Thank you.
We had such a lovely stay at Kentisbury Ford. We are a family of 5 with 3 children and we were blessed with gorgeous weather for our first holiday in some time! Staying on the farm to pootle and relax or venture to the gorgeous local beaches like Woolacombe were equally enjoyable.
The farm itself is brilliant, the covered pool, simply used at present by a family at a time is warm and clean. There’s also a swing, slide and trampoline as well as treehouse in the 34 acre grounds. The kids were able and we were happy to let them wander and play around the property and they much enjoyed the newest playroom (which opened the week we arrived) and we all played ping pong, board games, snooker and basketball several times before a barbecue dinner or after breakfast.
Aidan the owner couldn’t have been more helpful, checking in on our journey down, ensuring we had the right directions and giving us advice re the beaches - there’s even wellies you can borrow in the wet weather if you’ve not brought any!
We had such a lovely relaxing time, exploring the stream and sheep fields surrounding the farm. The nicely decorated very clean cottage and grounds were just perfect, a bottle of wine and chocolates greeted us on our arrival too, a lovely touch.
I only wish we could have stayed longer, I expect we will be back!!
