REFUSE AND WASTE DISPOSAL - see instructions in Housekeeping Notice. Take waste bins to driveway entrance. Close all WINDOWS. BACK DOOR - lock up. FRONT DOOR -lock and return key to key safe.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Excellent location in town centre. Fantastic views of the estuary. We wasted so much time just sitting and looking out the windows. Very clean, very nicely furnished rooms, and well equipped kitchen. Downstairs shower, although electric, was quite powerful and piping hot. However, shower in main bathroom over the bath had no pressure. It could be used if sitting IN the bath or kneeling over the edge. Something to do with the shower head being higher than the boiler I am told. Parking a little tight getting to the allocated spaces and with a large SUV it might be a problem. Overall a brilliant stay and I am sure we will return. Thanks to the owners.

It is a wonderful place , close to everything, parking is slightly tricky but totally manageable. The house is beautiful, downstairs can be a bit cooler , I couldn’t figure out the heating system and that’s my ignorance, not the hosts quick to add . Definitely a five star. Thank you Rory.

A fabulous position with views to die for! The beds were very comfortable with lovely crisp cotton bedding. The kitchen is very well equipped & you you could easily host a party with all the crockery! (not that I cooked at all)My only comment & I have passed to the host, is how steep the access path is. Definitely not for the infirm. A wonderful stay & I would definitely stay here again. Many thanks

Stunning location beautiful view and great location for Salcombe shops etc, easy check in/out! Very clean and all things needed for our stay was there! Fairly spacious even for 6 adults!

A fantastic stay at an amazing location

We loved the location and the views from the house are outstanding. Everything is clean and tidy with great communication from the hosts. The description is very accurate. Some reviews had worried me about the driveway but it’s very straightforward, just takes some extra care as you turn in.

Beautiful views!

We stayed 3 nights in Aug 2024, and would have happily stayed another 3 weeks. The property has parking that we were well directed to, on the check-in instructions, and is close enough to everything, without being “too” in the thick of it. The view from the sitting room is unrivaled, and where we spent most of our time. If I had any complaints, it would be that the TV is fussy, and there was no dish towel in the kitchen. Both small things that didn’t really impact our stay. We would happily stay at Orchid House again, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Perfect Location

The property was central in the town in walking distance to all amenities with stunning views over the estuary. All rooms were clean and well maintained with a well appointed kitchen although we ate out all the time. Would definitely book again recommend to others.

Another lovely stay

We really do love it here, the location is so good, and it has the most amazing views. Now we have 4 teenagers it's a bit more of a squeeze but it actually still works so well for us.

Unpleasant smell, living area only caters for 4 people

Downstairs we were greeted with smell of drains and upstairs the small of vomit near dining room table. We thought the money we paid was good value and the hosts very amenable but the prices going forward do not reflect the fact that the living area only caters for four people (4 dining chairs, 4 lounge seats). The furniture is looking tired and not in keeping with modern trends.
