A two-bedroom modern, spacious apartment with a swimming pool in the complex. A good-sized separate well-equipped kitchen for all your needs. WIFI and UK Television, Air Conditioning [hot & cold] in the Lounge and in both of the Bedrooms. There are also oil-filled radiators for the winter months. The apartment is on the first floor of a 3 storey complex and has 2 lifts and an intercom security system. The balcony is South facing and looks out to a park and there are two swimming pools in the complex [on the ground floor]. The local area enjoys an array of cafes, restaurants, tapas bars, a Waterpark, an Aquarium, Go Karting, cycling on the promenade. Gran Plaza Shopping Mall, Marina with the unique rustic feel and array of seafood restaurants. Good local bus service for a visit to Almeria Town or visit Aguadulce. Coach tour operators for excursions to Mini Hollywood (home of the spaghetti westerns, outdoor pool in the Oasis and fantastic zoo) and other areas eg. Mojaca, Nerja, San Jose or the Sierra Nevada (Ski resort) .

What a perfect apartment!

Just returned home from a wonderful holiday in this apartment. It had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Its location is great, literally a two minute walk to the beach and really useful supermarket. The beach is great, sunbeds with parasols only 3.50 euros a day and lifeguard on duty. Great bus service to the Gran Plaza shopping mall and Almeria too. Must recommend the Aloha bar - good food and service and unbelievably reasonable prices. Best of all Debra and Gary are so helpful and made the whole process so easy and stress free. The taxi they arranged was brilliant and felt very confident that they were available if we needed them. Thank you so much!!

Location, Value, Relaxing 5*

From the moment we confirmed with Debra to the last sad turn of the key as we left, this was a holiday experience to boast about. A relaxing break with buckets of sunshine and beachtime? We got it. Great value for money, an apartment with EVERYTHING we needed? Tick. A superb location with friendly bars and plenty of plates of good fish? The only disappointment was hen I stepped on the scales on my return home. :) As a travel writer, this was an easy review. To sum in up in 3 words? Will be back.

Somewhat Disappointing

Leading up to our stay Debra was very helpful and friendly. She arranged for a late transfer from the airport and the driver had the apartment key. The apartment is somewhat disappointing. It is in need of some serious tlc, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom. There was a leak from the bath/shower screen onto the floor. Fixtures and fittings in here are either broken or rusty. There is a problem with the drains, they smell terrible and we had to leave the plugs in. The kitchen was very disorganised and the equipment wasn’t good. The apartment is generally a bit tired and grubby. The part of Roquestas that the apartment is in was like a ghost town. There are one or two little bars and supermarkets close by but very little else. It’s around a 20-30min walk to the main part of the resort. The beach along this part of the coast is amazing and you can walk for miles, all on the flat.

We are sorry that you were disappointed with some aspects of the apartment. We have taken on board your comments and the bathroom unit has been replaced with a newly purchased one. The kitchen utensils renewed and the slight damage to the door architrave (from the shower leak) in the bathroom is being addressed. It's a shame that you found the area to be too quiet (it was still slightly out of season) but we are just a 3 mins walk to the amazing beach with some bars and restaurants near by. A 15 min walk to the resort of Playa Serena and in the opposite direction a 15 min walk to the Marina.

El piso está bastante bien, aunque con muchos trastos almacenados por los armarios. Incluso en la cocina hay armarios con infinidad de bolsas, trastos y alguna lata de comida. La zona muy tranquila. La piscina fenomenal. En general el equipamiento del piso (colchones, sillones, toallas, etc) muy correcto.

Clean comfortable apartment

The apartment has all you need for comfortable stay with wifi and uk tv its home from home. Debra &Gary go out of their way to make sure you have a worry free holiday and have everything you need. Home from home

I recently enjoyed a weeks stay at this clean,well maintained apartment. The facilities available were easy to use and reliable especially the luxury of having English tv and quick running wifi. The apartment itself was spacious and in an ideal location-close to the beach,bars and amenities but quite enough to get a good nights sleep! Gary and Debbie provided a faultless service from booking to the end of the trip. I have and will continue to recommend this apartment to friends and family who are looking for a place to stay which feels just like home.

perfect apartment

This apartment is in a perfect location. It is in a quiet area yet only a few minutes walk to some of the nicest tapas bars, ie aloha's and taskas, and the beach. There is a well stocked supermarket across the road and a good bus service just over from the front door. The apartment itself is great and has everything you need for a great holiday including an adult and a children's pool. We would have no hesitation in recommending this to our family and friends or indeed anyone who wants a relaxing holiday with all amenities close by. Perfect

We have just spent 3 lovely weeks in this apartment in Roquetas. It is situated in a quiet area of the town yet is surrounded by plenty of bars and restaurants and the sea front, all within 3 minutes walk! 15 minutes stroll along the beautiful promenade in either direction there is a lot more activity. The apartment is ideal with all the facilities you require. Gary and Debra are so helpful and we would recommend their apartment to anyone.

Nice little spot

A nice unspoilt area without all the commercial trappings of a holiday resort. But not far from the high life if that's what you want. Accommodation is nice and the extra touches like wifi, satellite TV etc. are good if you fancy a night in. A comfortable little apartment, nicely cared for, just what we were looking for. Local food prices are quite reasonable. Love the tapas culture!

Loved it - home from home

Great place to stay with my family / young baby. We ordered a travel cot and took our tommy tippie microwave steriliser. Tip... You buy Bezoya mineral water out in the shops and can buy poweder aptimil from pharmacy. Apartment on first floor with lift. Outdoor Car park is opposite and it is near Zoraida hotel, which you can use. Just a stone throw from beach with lovely promenade (easy to walk with the pram). San Rocco restaurant was a lovely Italian restaurant and my partner and I really enjoyed our meal there- very nice. Thats about a 5-10 min drive - turn right from apartment and head towards the Sabinal hotel and passed Sabinal and gorilla / play area for kids and keep driving. Theres a small restaurant / bar opposite called Portimar or similar and the staff are extremely helpful and do anything for you (nice toasties and red wine there when you arrive late at night). Apartment is quiet and residential area with a balcony looking over to small park and can almost see the beach. Near to water park, aquarium and lots of other things to do. Water Park and Aquarium turn left from apartment passed Gran Plaza (shopping centre). Aguadulce was lovely with nice restaurants. Nice, clean apartment and lots of things to do. My third time staying here and discovered more this time. WIFI is free in apartment, so great bonus. Small hairdryer there, one double bed and two singles. Sofa is comfy for nights in watching a film / tv. DVD player there too and owners have supplied some. We visited Oasys theme park. Head towards Almeria airport and then a sat nav should pick it up as an 'attraction' when you are near to almeria airport. Well worth a day out. Western film set and can have pictures with kids / fun for adults too, a brilliant zoo there and a swimming pool. Had a brilliant day out there. Enjoy your break. :-) xxxx

It is always nice for us to hear that people enjoy/experience a lot of the areas of Almeria that we too enjoy visiting. Mini Hollywood is always a fab day out. The Resort of Serena (past the kids Gorilla play park) as you mention has so many more bars and restaurants to offer (for all budgets) and unfortunately some people could miss a visit there, if they didn't venture just outside of our apartments vicinity. We had a wonderful week in Roquetas. Have been to Spain many times before but never to this particular area. We found it to have a very relaxed atmosphere, the local Spanish residents were always friendly and helpful and the beach is amazing. This apartment is in a superb location, literally just a few minutes walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. And it is fully equipped incl English TV, a cooker and full sized fridge freezer. Wish we had stayed longer as we didnt get to see/do many of the things nearby. Highly recommended with no hesitation in returning.

Beautiful place

we have just returned form a 2 week stay here and it was fab. the apartment was just as it was in the photos, lovely and clean and ample size for a family of 4, a real home from home. Excellent communication with the owners prior to our holiday and they left us loads of info in the apartment about things to do and where the nicest places were to eat. Roquetas de mar is a lovely unspoilt resort and I had the most relaxing 2 weeks holiday that I have probably ever had, typical Spanish resort where they still give you free tapas when you order a beer, the beach was great and was never crowded and the marina at night was great, we were spoilt for choice for where to eat because everywhere smelt amazing. The waterpark was good although a bit of a trek if you have little ones (take a pram). Will absolutely being going back there and would highly recommend the resort and the apartment to anyone who wants a relaxing sunshine holiday.

We are married with a son and love traveling abroad. We love the all-year-round climate (335 days of sunshine a year) that Almeria offers and the traditional but not overdeveloped feel that Roquetas de Mar still holds whilst it still caters to the tourists' needs and enjoys a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We enjoy the unspoiled beaches, swimming, relaxing, stopping off for a drink and tapas in the café bars/restaurants and some long relaxing walks, and cycling along the promenade which is minutes from our apartment.

Why they chose this property

The property is clean, spacious, and modern with a sunny aspect [balcony] and we have ensured that it is well equipped for all your needs and is in a great location. A real 'home from home' which offers all the comforts you require for a holiday or relaxing stay. The rooms are of good size and the kitchen is separate and well equipped. The swimming pool on the complex is also of a good size and you can sunbathe in the gardens after a swim. The local bus transport service is excellent. WIFI, UK TV and cleaning are all included in the price and our prices are very reasonable. We also have an English-speaking Agent who can arrange collection from and to Almeria Airport (fee paid to the driver on collection who will also have keys to the apartment). Or we can arrange key collection (out of hours arrival) from our Agent's office, a short drive away from the apartment). We are happy to help to make your stay a comfortable and stress-free one.

What makes this property unique

The apartment is just a few minutes walk from the beach and has restaurants, tapas bars, supermarkets and other facilities which are all very close but still enable you to enjoy a tranquil atmosphere. Local bus connections are excellent. The beach is very unspoiled and you can always find somewhere to eat and relax. You can visit Playa Serena resort [15 mins walk] which has several cafes, restaurants, a golf course, or travel on the bus if you choose not to walk and visit the Marina, which has a rustic feel and several superb seafood restaurants. The local markets and also the Gran Plaza Shopping Mall together with Restaurants are worth a visit. Almeria town and its historic features, as well as some lovely day trips out, can be booked using the local Excursion company.
