Check in and check out very easy. The hosts were friendly and available if needed. The cottage was a perfect size for the two of us. Everything was clean and comfortable. We had a fantastic week.
Beautiful property in a very handy location with bus stop right outside the gate. Buses run regularly to York or the other way to Beverley and hull. Lovely host very curtious. Brilliant value for money. Wonderful place
Clean and tidy, not massive but perfectly adequate. Free Wi-Fi is a plus. Fairly quiet despite being on a main road and only 15 minutes to York Center plus park and ride and bus close by. Definitely recommend.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in
More attention to cleanliness needed, especially bathroom.
This is a nice clean property with all you need for a few days away.
Some road noise can be heard in the main bedroom could be a problem if you like quiet mornings.
Easy access to York from the property.

Well equipped and comfortable.
The owners, Lynne and Barry, were very welcoming and friendly. Their property was well equipped and very clean and was well placed for visiting York, being just a few miles from the city. If you're into classic cars then talk to Barry. I happened to notice one of his vehicles and was then shown two others which he had restored himself. His restoration skills brought out the green eyed monster in me! Overall, a pleasant stay.

Thank you for your review We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that you enjoyed seeing and talking to Barry about classic cars. I hope you will be able to visit the area again sometime in the future Lynne
This property is good for a weekend or midweek stay for two but I would not recommend for a family, unless they wish to use it as a hotel and go out for the day.
It is fully equipped with kitchen cookware but there is very little room to prepare a meal. Our stay was pleasant and the beds very comfortable but the bathroom is very small, there is little room for toiletries and the shower spray leaks water. The fan is not strong enough to clear the damp so one has to wait in between showers, with the door open. It's more of an en suite to a master bedroom. We made the most of our stay by eating out in the evening.
We holiday in the UK four or five times a year but I have never stayed anywhere where one has to remove bed linen and place it in a laundry bag along with towels and tea towels. Nonetheless, we did as was asked.
The beds were very comfortable and it was a pleasure seeing the squirrels and chickens! The owners are helpful and we met the son's lovely dog, who came to say hello.
The entrance and exit can be difficult during peak times,
The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpul. We would recommend staying in the cottage. It was so peaceful and relaxing. It was a good jump off point for all our daily travels. Thank you to the hosts, we hope to return in another 2-3 years. Sharon & Steve
The cottage was spotlessly clean, with an abundance of soft, fluffy towels and even some milk in the fridge. Good location for access to York and surrounding area. The cottage is snug for a family of four but perfectly adequate for our week long stay and was priced very reasonably compared to many others in the area. It also had a good shower, which we find many properties are let down by.
A smart TV to be able to take better advantage of the wi fi would be an improvement, it’s practically an essential if you have kids. Also repair of the bathroom door, which was difficult to close and perhaps some thinner quilts for the summer period. Overall a nice little cottage with a lovely landlady on hand next door.
On arrival we were greeted by Lynne who made us feel very welcome. The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Very convenient for visiting York as approx 10 minutes from Park & Ride. Would defend recommend.

The property was ideal for family and 2 children. Large garden enclosed at rear which is ideal if you have children. Property is situated approx 8 miles from city centre although there is a regular bus 50 metres away so no problem if you do not have a car.
Would recommend to any traveller.
Only disappointment was the dog mess on the patio which my husband cleaned up as it was very nearly walked on - other than that all ok.
