Lovely stay in pleasant apartment
Had lovely week in Ilfracombe. Apartment was clean, well equipped and very convenient for beach, harbour, restaurants, shops and Tunnel Beaches where we attended a wedding. Would go back and recommend to family and friends.

Apartment was perfect location in Ilfracombe to visit family & have a lovely break away after such a mad couple of years. Couldn't fault the Apartment itself, had everything we needed , although we didn't do much cooking , everything was there if we did ! I have just one little suggestion , that the duvet for the pull down sofa bed needs a cover, else not very hygienic, unless it is cleaned everytime that is, and one little bug bare, the lights on the stairs are a bit unpredictable & I would say a tad dangerous at times, ( especially after a few drinks 😉😆) as they would go off before you got to the top & very dark in places, maybe sensor lights would be a good idea & a lamp in reception room ! Otherwise lovely place, definitely stay again 👍as right by family & Witherspoons for breakfast too 😋 👌😁
Tracy was very helpful from booking early on this year to when we were on holiday. Lovely little apartment, didn’t spend much time there due to the weather being beautiful. A good little base for anyone wanting to stay in this little town. Our only issue was the lack of cold water but I did know about this before we arrived. Thank you for an enjoyable stay, our young children loved it!

Good location, very clean, host is quick to reply. Main concern is the lighting on the stairs to the apartment. The light switches are out of date and they do not work. All the time the lights go off when half way up the stairs. This is very dangerous, someone will have a nasty accident, it’s needs to be addressed.

Owner kept us well informed before check in regarding picking up keys, parking etc. The apartment was clean, spacious well equipped and in a great location on the sea front . Had a good week, thank you.
Due to the plumbing in this old victorian building the hot and cold water pipes are very close. Running the cold tap for a few minutes will sort out this problem. Unfortunately as a owner of only one apartment out of 10 I cannot personally rip out the piping in the whole building. I hope it did not ruin your holiday.
Flat great location with sea front on your door step
Found the property on homeaway was straight forward to book and great communication with owner , property was well furnished for our needs , only down side of the accommodation was the sofa bed, which was a little on the small side, everything else was excellent, One watch out is there is no designated parking for the flat, however there are many local car parks costing approx £35 for the week , the family and I had a great time and would book with homeaway again ,
The flat was lovely - a great size and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and it has an excellent bathroom and shower (nothing worse than a piddly shower). The location was brilliant - very close to some brilliant bars and restaurants, and I'd recommend the walk to the top of the hill that's over the road for some stunning views!
Only slight downside was that parking refers to paid parking in one of the local car parks, not that there is an allocated space. Wasn't too much of an issue for us, the rates are quite reasonable at ~£6 a day, but if you wanted to use your car to go somewhere at peak time on a Saturday there's the potential that you wouldn't be able to easily park again when you get back as the town was very busy.

Thank you for your kind comments. Yes parking in traditional seaside towns may be hard during peak season but the harbour long stay is very reasonable at 4.40 for 24hrs and has plenty of spaces. I look to receiving you as a guest in the future!
Booking with Tracy was very straight forward. The space was very convenient for me, the bed very comfortable. The bathroom could do with updating and the only things I missed were hand soap, a grater and spare toilet rolls. Thanks Tracy

Thanks for your comments. There is a grater in the kitchen. As will most self-catering accommodation I only supply a toilet roll on arrival. Most guests do shopping whilst there. Sorry the bulb went in the bathroom but the unit has been changed now.

Lovely, clean, comfy, but two many stairs & noisy from restaurants emptying bottles in bins.
Had a lovely time in Ilfracombe, very family orientated, beautiful place, sea was fab, weather was fab fab fab. Apartment was lovely, need good knees to climb so many stairs though. Was too noisy with restaurant next door and Witherspoon over the road when emptying bins etc. Would stay further a field if we were to return and not on the main strip.

Spacious pad in heart of Ilfracombe
My family and I stayed for 5 nights in Ilfracombe in May/June 2018. We found just the right property located in the heart of this pretty harbour town. Communication with the owner was prompt and very helpful. Everything we needed and everything Ms Race had advertised was there - in a welcoming clean one bed apartment. A very enjoyable mini break.

Gründe für die Buchung waren: WLAN, Parkplatz und Waschmaschine. WLAN gab es in der FeWo nicht. Der Parkplatz war 200 m entfernt, öffentlich und kostete jeden Tag extra, die Waschmaschine für die gesamte Etage funktionierte nicht (fraß Geld, aber arbeitete nicht), die öffentliche Laundrette liegt am anderen Ende der Stadt. Aber sonst haben wir es uns ganz nett gemacht.

Sea Rock Apartments
Clean and all that we needed for our stay. Close to all Harbour, gardens and beach. A good base for our stay. Convenient for shops and eating out places. Weatherspoon's opposite .......good for breakfast and a reasonably priced meal. Italian restaurant next door which was always fully booked but you can have a take away....staff very friendly.
We obtained a weekly pass to park close to the harbour. Church car park across the road charging £5 a day would also be worth considering (one family had a deal to park for the week).

Lovely clean apartment in the heart of Ilfracombe seafront
We have stayed at 6 Searock Apartment twice now and have booked again for next summer.
We cannot recommend it enough,
It's a little Gem in Ilfracombe.
Fantastic location, gorgeous spacious modern apartment in a lovely old building full of character.
Fully equipped kitchen, one double bedroom, all bedding supplied,
Nice shower room and comfortable lounge with TV, DVD player and two sofa's,
One which turns into double sofa bed.
The apartment is located up a few flights of stairs but well worth it.
We found it nice and quiet.
Once down stairs in the main lobby you open the door straight onto Ilfracombe Seafront.
Right infront of you Capstone hill
( amazing views from the top)
A few minutes walk left your on a beach and by the Landmark Theater,
Ilfracombe Museum ( love it in here) and a little bit further on the Tunnel beaches
( well worth a visit, small payment to enter)
The marmalade shop is nice and also a shop that does Spin Art ( great for all ages)
If you turn right from the apartment you will find yourself in the picturesque harbour passing little shops,
Restaurants, bars, pubs, fish and chip shops, fudge shop, tea rooms and icecream stalls along the way.
We enjoyed fishing trips ( mackril fishing and
Deep sea fishing) , a sea safari on a speed boat seeing dolphins and seals and the stunning coast line!
Crazy golf on the sea front
going to the cinema up in the high street also a very nice chocolate shop and Indian restaurant in the high street.
( 10 min walk from apartment)
Back down by the apartment the
Tea rooms are very nice ( there are several)
Amazing cream teas and cakes.
Also a sweet shop and a little convenience store which is useful for milk, bread etc...
We enjoyed a trip to watermouth castle
( 15 mins drive away or a bus ride)
And also visited Woolacombe (surfing) Barnstaple, Bideford ( panniers markets at both)
Combe Martin ( fantastic rock pools)
South Molten ( Honey farm)
Lynton and Lynmouth ( cliff railway)
These places are all within driving distance whether in a car or on the bus.
There is even a swimming pool in Ilfracombe but we ran out of time to go!
We managed to park our car for free in a side street a short walk away but there is a long stay carpark near the harbour.
He love staying at 6 Searock Apartment as it's in a great location and has everything we need for our holiday.
It's clean, modern and well equipped.
We give it 5 stars ***** and cannot wait to return next year!

Very Comfortable Stay
We stayed for 3 weeks and found that Ilfracombe was the perfect base to explore both the local area and also nearby Somerset and Cornwall. We found The Searock to be modern, well equipped and very clean - just what we needed to complete our stay. Would definitely recommend to others- thank you.

The description of what is provided is very accurate. The location is excellent with a new Wetherspoons pub closeby but not to worry there is no noise to be heard from it. The flat was very clean and well maintained. The owner was very helpful beforehand as we thought we may be delayed and unable to collect keys, so they sent us a spare set which was really nice providing we send them back Recorded Delivery on our return. Although no parking at property, there is parking not too far away and you can obtain a weekly parking permit from the Tourist Information which can also be used in Croyde and Barnstaple so considerable saving on cost. There are plenty of cafes and pubs and also nice restaurant called The Smugglers down near the harbour.
We would definitely recommend this property to a friend.

Ilfracombe is the perfect location for exploring the north Devon coastline. it has a beautiful working harbour and has the new damien hirst "verity" statue bringing in tourists from around the world. there is no shortage of things to see and do. from evenings out at the local landmark theatre or cinema or enjoying meals at the many tearooms and restaurants.
