Outstanding! This property was absolutely stunning it had everything you’d need. Very clean and well decorated. We had 3 night stay with 2 adults 2 teenagers and the dog. Location was perfect only 3 mins walk to dog friendly beach. The host had made us a welcome cake and milk in the fridge which was delicious. Thank you we will definitely be booking again next year.

We'll be back

This was our 2nd time staying at the Anchorage, I doubt it will be the last. The apartment is lovely, with great views, and a perfect location with the beach a 5 minutes walk away and Westbourne just down the road.

Fabulous!!

This was our first beach staycation with the family and it was absolutely fabulous! The apartment was clean and comfortable, with all the little home comforts too, including a homemade cake from our lovely host! We shall be returning very soon. Definitely recommended!

Home away from home

A light and airy apartment, in a beautiful location, that suited us well. A great place to hang out with our daughter and son-in-law and their little 2.5 year old daughter. There was even a little bed made ready for her, with which she was 'well pleased' :) The beach toys and towels came in very handy too. A short walk to the beach front, plus a fabulous children's play area - everything we needed for her introduction to a sandy beach. Would definitely recommend The Anchorage! Thanks to Helen and Martin for a lovely stay - you answered our questions promptly and helped make our stay very pleasant.

Stunning apartment in great location

We have stayed at the owners other lovely holiday apartment in the same building on several occasions, so knew it to be in a fantastic location just a short stroll to the beach and close to Westbourne which has some really good places to eat, drink and shop! The Anchorage is bright, modern, clean and beautifully presented and has been refurbished to a high standard. The open plan living/dining/kitchen area is stunning and is complemented with big windows not only making the accommodation magnificantly bright but making the most of the view over the tree tops of the nearby chines and from one angle you can even see the sea! The bedroms are lovely and equally well presented with lovely attention to detail which continues on in the modern bathroom which has a large walk in shower. We have already booked for later in the year and can not wait to return!

Great family apartment

We stayed at the anchorage for a long weekend over Easter and couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. The location is perfect, with the beach a 5 minute walk away, a lovely view overlooking the chine, and Westbourne just down the road. The apartment was fantastic, a lovely, comfortable and well designed space for a family. We would definitely recommend, and would certainly go back again

Fab Stay - Beautiful Apartment and Great Location!

WESTBOURNE OCTOBER 2020

This is an elegant and well equipped property and suited us well. The only minor quibble was the single beds. They were comfortable but narrow. Unfortunately, our sat nav was not working. We reached Westbourne without problems but had difficulty finding the road. It would have been helpful to have these details in advance. However, over all we thoroughly enjoyed our mstay.

Wonderful family holiday

Arriving at the property we were able to get straight in, dumping our things to get straight to the beach which was a five minute walk away. The kitchen and lounge were much larger than expected and the many windows let in lovely light throughout the day. During our stay the fridge door broke, but this was replaced the next day without any fuss. Helen and Martin were very welcoming and we felt reassured by their approach to Covid-19. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return for another holiday.

Good apartment in good locatiob

Flat was spacious, warm, clean and very well located for beach. We took our own bikes and everywhere was within cycling distance.

Relaxing break

Wonderful break again at the Anchorage. Lovely apartment in great location. Owners very helpful and the welcoming finishing touches were much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon.

Perfect apartment, perfect location

A clean and well presented apartment in a great location, perfect for the beach and only a short walk to Bournemouth and Westbourne village. The building doesn’t inspire but when you enter the apartment it’s like an oasis out of an interior magazine; it didn’t disappoint. The lemon drizzle cake on arrival was a lovely touch from the owners and was delicious. We’d recommend this property but in doing so we hope it’s available next time we want to stay!

Great location, stones throw from the beach!

We had a fab 4 night stay in this lovely apartment. The apartment itself is lovely, spacious and comfortable, and quiet. Comes with allocated off road parking, which was needed over the bank holiday, as the weather was fab and it was VERY busy! Just a 5 minute amble to the beach, and the chine is directly behind the apartment. Highly recommend.

A very enjoyable short stay in a lovely apartment. Lemon drizzle cake was a lovely welcome. The apartment is in such a nice location backing onto Alum Chine, a short walk from the beach and easy walk to the centre of Bournemouth, and also the very nice and convenient Westbourne shops.

Enjoyable stay.

I will be honest – our initial impressions were not great – the exterior of the building belies the interior and my heart sank. Thankfully the moment the door opened my worries were put to rest. It really is a lovely apartment with a fabulously comfortable living / kitchen / dining area with beautiful views over the trees at the back. The bedrooms are fine – front facing so you need the blinds down. The bathroom is small but newly decorated and very clean. The location – five minutes walk from Alum Chine beach and Vesuvio restaurant - makes it a very good choice for a holiday apartment. The owners are delightful and quick to help us get the heating on. If I were to be critical the linens, towels and outside furniture could use a refresh. But at the price point exceptional value.
