About this property
Cosy, three-bed short walk from Studland's beaches
This property provides a perfect holiday location for young families, keen walkers, and water-sport enthusiasts. Ideally located with only a short walk to Studland's beautiful beaches, heathlands and the lovely Pig-on-the-Beach restaurant. The cottage sleeps 5 adults, or 6 if travelling with children.
Studland's gorgeous sandy beaches offer calm seas, water sports and the hiring of equipment, with dreamy views that stretch from Old Harry Rocks to the Isle of Wight. The property is surrounded by National Trust land offering walks to Godlingston Heath's Agglestone Rock, Old Harry Rocks, and the Studland Nature Reserve. The Pig-on-the-Beach and The Bankes Arms pub are a short stroll away, and there is a small playground across the road for little ones. The local village shop is 200m away with fresh local produce, great wine/beer selection and a post office.
There is a charming wood stove for those colder evenings and a wonderful garden to the front and back of the property offering further family enjoyment. There is a shed for locking up bikes/water sport equipment.

About the host
Hosted by Sarah Davidson
My family and I have loved Studland from our first visit and have been every year since. We just love the coast line and gentle waters that allow for a relaxing time for all. My husband grew up on the east coast of South Africa and desperately wanted to find a place in the UK that offered the same. Studland does this with ease as it offers sandy beaches that allow for lovely long walks, safe swimming and rock pools for exploring. We are an outdoors family that enjoy getting out - whether that be on our bikes, a hike or simply enjoying a day on the beach. Convenience is a must for a family with young children and we certainly find Studland and Swanage offer the perfect mix. There are great pubs close to the house and a number of lovely restaurants in nearby Swanage.
Why they chose this property
Location is fantastic with the beach only a short stroll away. We also have the heath walk that literally starts across the road. It is very quiet and tranquil and offers a home from home. One of our favourite things is enjoying the log fire in the evenings. The property has the benefit of a secure rear garden and a lovely front garden. We feel like we are in a different world whenever we stay and just love being here.
What makes this property unique
Our children think that South Beach (a very short walk away - even with said children!) is the greatest ever with all the beach toys they keep for children there.
With the National Trust owning most of the land around Studland, walkers and nature lovers are spoilt with long, sandy beaches, a forest full of deer and the far-stretching views of the heath.
