Refurbished house, close to the beach, quiet central location
Contemporary, renovated, well equipped house in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of Swanage, very close to the beach. The house has been renovated to a high standard and offers 3 bedrooms, 1 King Size, 1 double and two single beds (travel cot also available). The bathroom has a separate shower and corner bath. The newly fitted kitchen includes a dishwasher and washing machine/tumble dryer, double oven and microwave. The Lounge/Diner has a new large sofa and two comfortable chairs with a modern WIfi enabled TV and DVD player with plenty of DVDs. There are plenty of childrens games, toys and books and equipment for the beach. WIFI is included. There is a small courtyard garden with table and chairs. The house is set over three floors. The top floor where there is one bedroom has steeper stairs so not advised for elderly guests. The first floor has two bedrooms where stairs are standard.
The house is just a few moments walk from the long sandy beach, the shops, cafes and restaurants, the Victorian Pier and the Steam Railway. Corfe Castle, Durlston Country Park, Studland Bay, Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island, The Blue Pool, Durdle Door & Lulworth Cove are only short distances away. Children are very welcome but sorry no pets. Parking is on the road and is unrestricted but does have limited spaces. There are other unrestricted roads nearby or a car park 7 minutes walk away (£50 for the week). The advantage is we are close to everything in Swanage. We don’t tend to need the car once in Swanage. Guests appreciate how close we are to all the amenities of Swanage.

We used the house as a base for a walking trip and found the property to be perfectly placed for walks out and evening spent in the numerous local pubs.The kitchen was well equiped and perfect for a family or self catering break.Would recommend
We had a lovely long weekend, taking in the sights and sounds, swimming in the sea and enjoying lovely local food. The house is really well equipped in a perfect location, great stay/ thank you.
Good location , nice lounge and kitchen space. Top twin room good for children not so much for two adults. Parking outside can be tricky but overall very good stay for a weekend In Swanage this was my second booking on this property and I will reconsider in the future

We had a lovely week at the property. The location was perfect - so great to be so close to the beach and the town. Although we couldn’t park near the house, we found a spot up by the station just a few mins walk away. We would love to return!
We stayed over the New Year and would recommend, as Swanage stayed open and there was lots to see and do. The accommodation was perfect, being in the heart of town but still peaceful and close to beach. We found on street parking easy.
Comfortable and well equipped holiday house in a great central location in Swanage! Although the weather wasn’t the best we enjoyed a few days away including a trip on the Waverley paddle steamer along the Jurassic coast.
From making the booking with our host to arrival communication was excellent. On arrivsl at the property we immediately felt comfortable. All rooms were clean, tidy & felt very homely. The kitchen was well equipped. We loved the honest reviews of places of interest eateries etc. Clear instructions for use of kitchen appliances & check out proceedures.Well situated for acessing beach & town so no need to use the car. It was a perfect house & location would definitley recommend & stay again.
The property was as described and suited our family short break. Excellent location in the town and close to the beach. Communications with the owner were excellent and lots of thoughtful directions, parking advice and local facilities were included.

We have been coming on holiday to Swanage for the last 8 years and this is our holiday home from home. As a result the house is very well furnished for a holiday house. We love visiting Swanage as the area is so beautiful and there is so much to do whatever you are interested in.
Why they chose this property
Our house is very much a home from home. We have furnished it in a way we hope guests find comfortable and after staying in many holiday homes we hope we have provided what people expect when they come away from home. There are black out blinds and curtains in every room so you are not woken early. The beds are all comfy with good quality bed linen. The towels are large, soft and fluffy. The shower is powerful with instant hot water. The kitchen is very well stocked. We can cook a roast dinner or bake cup cakes. There is plenty of cutlery and crockery so you do not need to be washing dishes after every meal. We provide dishwasher liquid, cloths, washing up liquid, soap and a couple of toilet rolls to get you started. If you happen to have a rainy day or just want to take it easy there are lots of games in the house or DVDs to enjoy. There is DAB radio in the kitchen.
The house is very central but still in a very quiet road. You really don't need your car when you visit. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk. If you forget something when you visit the beach it is easy to pop home. You are close to all the shops and restaurants and amenities that Swanage has to offer. It is a great base for all the festivals that Swanage has throughout the year.
