Beautiful getaway
Beautiful cottage with character, very tastefully decorated. Stunning views from the kitchen. A perfect location for a beach getaway, literally just a stones throw from the house. Great walks from the house. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
Another fantastic week spent at this property; short walks to the beautiful bay, great pizza from Old Harry’s Bar and a great little local shop.
The cottage itself is cosy, warm and homely, pretty much everything we needed was there and we had a lovely week together. My 3 year old keeps asking to go back to the cottage!!
Mrs Guard is a lovely lady to liaise with.
We will be back as soon as we can.
Great cottage in a beautiful part of Dorset. Lovely beaches and pubs within walking distance. Cottage has all you need for a lovely holiday and the huge garden was a bonus.
Due to COVID 19 we were sadly unable to go on this trip. Shelia (the owner) went so far above and beyond helping us cancel, giving us a refund and offering us alternative dates. She is so helpful and a real pleasure to deal with. A lovely lady!
Sadly we didn’t get to go this time (but we certainly are going to go soon!) but I know the location of this property very well from past trips to the area. The cottage is a very short walk from one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to- sandy and sheltered with amazing wildlife. There are hundreds of stunning walks you can do from here. There are also some great places to eat/drink within walking distance but our very favourite is a 5 min drive away by the ferry.
A real gem of a spot and a real star of an owner!
Cosy cottage, perfect for a couple or a maximum of four people in two double bedrooms. Spotlessly clean and well appointed, the cottage is located a few minutes easy stroll to beautiful Studland beaches and other nature trails. Initially slightly phased by the proximity of the main road, we quickly moved past that and the convenience of local buses, with the bus stop right outside, is a big plus. The local stores and post office are a stones throw. Also the cottage benefits from a private parking space to the rear of the property which gives easy and convenient access. My husband and I would have no hesitation in returning and fully recommend this lovely cottage.
A little haven in Studland! Lovely cottage, warm, well equipped and central to beaches, beautiful walks and countryside. Most highly recommended.

lovely cottage in perfect location
Really lovely cottage, not done justice by photos on the website!
Plenty of room and very cosy for the time of year - appreciated the supply of fuel for the open fire, thankyou. Later in the week we were sitting out in sunshine at the top of the garden, looking out over the Purbeck ridge - idyllic! The best thing was being able to walk to beaches, pub, restaurant and Old Harry Rocks, leaving the car behind. The murmurations at Shell Bay were amazing. We were a little surprised at how busy the road was, carrying all traffic to and from the chain ferry, but soon got used to it. And next time we must definitely make time to try the open top Breezer bus from the bus stop directly outside Harmony.

Perfect week of relaxation
Studland & Purbeck has had a place in our hearts for many years. Our daughter recommended this cottage after staying here a couple of years ago and we knew that the location was perfect as there are so many walks to choose from. We were not disappointed! Harmony Cottage is charming and comfortable with a relaxing décor & ambience. We needed relaxation and we certainly found it here. It is our 1st visit and hopefully will not be our last.

Cosy Cottage in centre of beautiful village
A real home from home holiday cottage with a special feel and wonderful views over the countryside from the garden. Loved the Rayburn and the bath! The weather was very kind to us, the wild flowers (especially bluebells) were out in profusion and the birds seranaded us from morning till night. Beautiful village church, well stocked village shop with amazingly friendly staff, beaches, cliff walks, heathland, Shell Bay Seafood Restaurant, pub round the corner with it's own brewery - absolutely no need to go anywhere else! Will definitely be back.

Fantastic cottage, location, views and internally
The cottage has a great location with beaches within walking distance. There is a bus stop right outside which if you don't have a car is ideal. The interior of the cottage is to a very high spec and especially the roll top bath in the upstairs bathroom is a luxury. The views are stunning from the garden. Swanage is just a short 5 minute drive away. I have to say this is the first time we have used a owners direct cottage and my overall view was this this was an excellent find and we shall use this cottage again. The owners we met by chance and were lovely and very friendly. Can't wait to book for next year.

Great location, great views, very nice decor
We stayed for half term week with our two children. The cottage is in a perfect location, a few minutes walk from South Beach and from there you can also walk to Middle beach and Knoll beach. You can also walk to the local pub, the Bankes Arms, which may just have one of the best gardens and best views in the country. We made full use of the large garden with the BBQ and the outhouse. I would definitely recommend this place. I think it would make a great retreat in the colder months for a couple as it has a lovely open fire.

Harmony
Wonderful and comfortable accommodation. Set in a great location with local shop, pub, riding stables and within minutes of a lovely beach. Close to Swanage, Poole, Bournemouth etc. which are accessible by bus if you want to have a break from driving. We always look forward to staying at Harmony Cottage what ever the time of year, a great place to unwind and relax. (so nice to have an open fire too!)

Fabulous time
We had a lovely time at Harmony Cottage even though the weather wasn't on our side, the cottage interior is delightful and it was no hardship to stay curled up by the fire... and I thoroughly enjoyed cooking Sunday lunch on the rayburn. The cottage is well equipped. We had some super walks, the beaches are super...a very enjoyable few days. The only thing I would suggest is a stair gate to stop the dogs going up the stairs.
