Beautiful Two Bedroomed Trullo, Private Swimming Pool, Countryside Views & Wifi

Trullo Martinese is a beautifully restored trullo previously lived in permanently by the owners as their family home and now offered for holiday rental. The spacious and homely accommodation features many original stone features throughout and comprises of a living area and open plan kitchen/dining area, large 25sqm main bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room, twin bedroom (can be made up as a double on request), main bathroom and utility room with washing machine. To the rear of the property is a verandah with luxurious cushioned built-in sofa and dining table and chairs, providing the perfect place for shaded al-fresco lounging and dining. To the side of the verandah is the private swimming pool of 10 x 5 metres, surrounded by mature plants and flowers. (The swimming pool is open May to October and is for the exclusive use of guests at the trullo only). Steps lead up to the roof terrace which is perfect for watching the sunset, as well as taking in the 360 degree panoramic countryside views which stretch across to Locorotondo, Cisternino and Martina Franca. The trullo sits in its own grounds of 10,000sqm and is situated on a quiet private no-through country lane amongst olive groves and vineyards. The location provides wonderful open countryside views, and is just 7km from the beautiful Baroque town of Martina Franca and stunning hilltop town of Locorotondo. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Alberobello is just 10km away, and just a little further are the popular towns of Cisternino and Ostuni. Beautiful beaches on both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts can be reached in a 30-40 minute drive, whilst the must see towns of Matera and Lecce are both just a 75 minute drive away. The airports at Bari and Brinidisi are both roughly a 60 minute drive. The English owners live just down the road from the trullo and as such are always available for help and advice if required, such as restaurant recommendations, suggestions of places to visit etc etc, whilst of course ensuring your total and complete privacy at all times.

Beautiful surroundings and rustic charm

The trullo has a fantastic location, away from the road, but not remote. Easy access by car to stores in Martina Franca or Locorotondo or Alberobello. Daytrips to Bari, Matera, or Monopoli are within easy reach. The trullo is comfortable and well appointed. At night it is very quiet. The porch is a great place to spend an afternoon. It was too cold to use the pool in April, but it had already been opened.

Terrific Trullo

Trullo Martinese is a fantastic property, more than we expected. The Trullo is located off the beaten track but close to some great towns. For us, Locorotondo just pipped Martina Franca but both have interesting old towns with a variety of restaurants and bars. All the main attractions of this part of Puglia were close by with some good beaches only half an hour away. Nick and Sarah are great hosts, thank you.

Perfect Italian countryside retreat

Really fabulous trulli set in a beautiful garden. Hosts Nick and Sarah could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Location is excellent, the nearby Martina Franca is beautiful with excellent restaurants. Many sights in the area and beaches only 40 minutes away. If anyone is concerned about the lack of air conditioning then don't be - the trulli is designed to be cool and fans are provided as well. We survived the Italian heatwave when the night time temp was in high 20s every night - no disturbed sleep at all!

A place to relax

I can honestly say that me and my husband (and I am sure I speak for our friends) found the trullo a beautiful place to holiday. The countryside setting is peaceful and very restful, with amazing fruit trees in the garden, particularly the fig tree which was well used. The Trullo is beautifully appointed, with all linens supplied, and the kitchen well appointed. The owners even leant us a slow cooker! The owners are near by and nothing is too much trouble. There are great views from the roof to the surrounding towns. The pool is kept beautifully clean and cleaned throughout holiday. If you want a relaxing holiday in a lovely area, in a beautiful trullo then I would highly recommend this rental.

Trulli Wonderful

The Trulli is wonderful. The garden at the property which surrounds the house and the beautiful pool emits gorgeous scents of lavender, sage and rosemary and is so pretty to look at when swimming. The garden is also stocked with fruit trees so we could enjoy fresh figs and plums for breakfast. We arrived to gifts of cakes and home pressed olive oil from the trees in the garden, and were kindly provided with other essentials such as coffee, milk salt and pepper, making you feel welcome from the start. Inside is clean, spacious and cool in the Summer and the trulli stone features inside were a change the bland white walls of many holiday homes. Nicholas and Sarah who own the trulli were excellent with communication ahead of arriving and gave details of a supermarket on route. The trulli is in a beautiful setting which was great to watch the sunset from and the nearby towns of Locorotondo and Martina Franca were fabulous. We would recommend the roof terrace at night to see the stars. The track road up to the trulli from the main road might be a bit unnerving to some, but the advantage is that there is no road noise. A great little find. Would hope to return.

We had a wonderful, enjoyable week at Nick and Sarah’s trullo. It’s in a central location, you’ll need a car, but you can easily reach Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Alberobello, Matera, Ostuni, etc. The trullo was well-equipped with everything you’ll need and the grounds and pool were a treat, we didn’t want for anything. We had two great home-cooked dinners prepared by Sarah and we highly recommend this listing for those who want a true trullo experience.

Attractive property, good and modern amenities with beautiful pool and outside areas. Very private and not overlooked. Hosts are on hand if you need to ask questions and advice and they are very helpful. Will need a car to drive to nearby villages and towns. All the listed nearby towns are beautiful and worth a visit.

Nous avons séjourné 1 semaine en famille (2 adultes - 2 enfants ) dans ce charmant trulli.Calme, tranquillité, super piscine, terrasse très agréable.La maison est bien équipée et les propriétaires sont attentionnés, discret et également de bon conseil.Je recommande vivement cette location pour profiter de la beauté et de la tranquillité de Pouilles.

Fantastic location and facilities for a relaxing holiday.

The trullo is in a great location for relaxing, shopping and tourism including beautiful towns, great choice of good restaurants, stunning countryside, access to the coast and beaches, and very well equipped for guests. The pool is a fantastic asset and the view of the sun setting over the pool on our first evening was unforgettable. The owners could not have been more helpful and communicative throughout the whole process and even performed a taxi service to take us to and from one of the nearby towns for a special celebration evening. All in all it made a special holiday even more special. I have no hesitation in recommending it and we are even considering a return visit in the future.

Traumhafte Ruhe

Wir haben eine wundervolle Woche in diesem tollen Haus verbracht. Wer Natur und Ruhe gepaart mit Luxus mag, ist hier richtig. Der Pool ist groß und wunderschön vom Garten umrahmt. Trotz der Abgeschiedenheit ist man schnell in den netten umliegenden Orten. Auch die angebotene Verpflegung von Sarah und Nick, die in der Nähe wohnen, ist sehr empfehlenswert. Kurzum: absolut empfehlenswertes Haus.

Ferien im Trullo

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Gastgeber Nicholas und Sarah sind überaus nett und hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation mit ihnen war völlig unkompliziert. Da das Trullo etwas ausserhalb liegt, braucht man ein Auto. Als Ausgangspunkt zu diversen Ausflügen liegt es sehr gut. Von uns eine dicke Empfehlung für das Trullo von Nicholas und Sarah!!!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit guter Lage

Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr nett und haben uns bereits vorab viele Informationen über die Unterkunft und die Umgebung gesendet. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön und bietet alles was man für einen schönen und erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Von dort aus kann man aber auch viel erkunden.

A Trullo experience in the country side

An old trullo expanded to accommodate 2 bedrooms and 2 baths…good location for our daily self-guided tours…definitely need a car!…pool was nice but only one day in high 20s made it usable…all good though! Be prepared to kill little bugs on the regular hahahaha We didn’t cook any meals other than breakfast…the host offers prepared meals at a price but we were out and about most times or just brought some bread, cheese, olives back home!

Wunderschöner Trullo mit perfekten Gastgebern

Wir durften 2 wunderschöne Wochen in der Nähe von Martina Franca verbringen. Unser Trullo, von den perfekten Gastgebern Sarah & Nicolas liebevoll gepflegt, ist für 4 Personen optimal ausgestattet. Küche, 2 Bäder und 2 Schlafräume sind geräumig und sehr gut eingerichtet. Der Aussenbereich mit dem Freisitz und dem wirklich großen Pool sind sehr angenehm, um abzuschalten, auszuruhen oder sich abzukühlen. Sarah und Nicolas kümmern sich liebevoll um Ihr Trullo und Ihren Gästen und bieten im Vorfeld schon einen sehr guten Überblick an, wo man wie wann was machen kann. Sie sind immer für einen da und checken regelmäßig die Lage (z.B. Müll und Pool), ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Die selbstgemachten Cannelloni von Sarah, die mit Salat und Knoblauchbrot serviert werden, waren hervorragend. Zu empfehlen sind Ausflüge nach Ostuni, Alberobello, Locondotondo und natürlich Martina Franca (beste Empfehlung von Sarah & Nicolas: Pizzeria Ricci!!). Auch Matera ist gut erreichbar in einer Stunde und ein absolutes Highlight. Strandtechnisch ist die ionische Küste mit dem glasklaren Wasser auch ein Ausflug wert. Von Sarah & Nic kann man auch selbstgemachtes Ölivenöl, das ganz hervorragend ist, oder auch Seife erwerben. Alles in allem, für 2 Erwachsene & zwei Kindern (in unserem Fall 15 und 2 Jahre) eine optimale Oase mit vielen Möglichkeiten, was wir sehr empfehlen können.

Très beau séjour au coeur des Pouilles

Située en pleine campagne des Pouilles, cette maison se situe dans un environnement calme et propice au repos. La piscine est très agréable et une belle terrasse ombragée permet de prendre ses repas et d'observer de magnifiques couchers de soleil. Les hôtes sont très prévenants et donnent des conseils pour passer un excellent séjour. Propreté du gîte irréprochable. A recommander.

viva le feste

Isolé au bout du monde mais avec les commerces a moins de 10mn, le lieu est superbe. Les hôtes Sarah et Nicholas ont très prévenant. La communication est très facile. Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour. Merci encore pour le frigo garnie a notre arrivée. La maison a tout les équipements nécessaires et même plus... Même sans climatisation celle-ci est restée fraîche malgré les fortes chaleurs. Après une journée de balade, il est très agréable de pouvoir se rafraîchir et se détendre dans la belle et grande pisicne. Celle-ci est bien pensée et très propre. La localisation de la maison est parfaite pour rayonner dans la vallée d'Istria qui est de toute beauté avec ses villages pittoresques et ses beaux paysages vallonnés. Bref, un lieu que l'on voudrait garder que pour soi. Merci encore a Sarah et Nicholas pour leur accueil.

Fantastic

The Trullo, is as beautiful as the pictures. Sarah and Nicholas are brilliant hosts, going above and beyond, making our holiday even better than expected. From the welcome gifts of homemade soap and olive oil to the delicious biscuits. We would definitely recommend them and their Trullo and hopefully we will be back. Thank you so much to you both.

Great Trullo in Martina Franca

Clean, well-appointed space and great hosts; Nick and Sarah were very helpful and responsive before and after my stay. The pool is a bonus and welcoming respite after a day of visiting neighboring towns. Location js convenient to do day trips to Locorotondo, Alberobello, even Matera! An amazing start to my Italian vacation!

Heerlijke plek in prachtig Puglia

Het huis ligt heerlijk rustig maar toch op korte afstand van vele bezienswaardigheden. Martina Franca, Alberobello, Locorotondo zijn erg dichtbij en op minder dan ee half uur rijden ook al bij de kust of anders mooie plekken. Nicholas en Sarah zijn erg gastvrij, vriendelijk ontvangst, eigen olijfolie, eigen zeep. Bereikbaar indien gewenst, maar anders discreet. Het huis is een trullo welke gerenoveerd is en uitgebreid met aanbouw. Er is een overekt terras, mooi groot zwembad om heerlijk af te koelen. In de tuin meerdere plekken om te zitten/liggen, er is een BBQ aanwezig. De grote tuin is omringd door een hek en afsluitbare poort. Erg aan te bevelen, vaak een verkoelende wind dus goed uit te houden.
