Chalet Coeur is a beautiful 17th Century farmhouse that has been renovated to beautiful modern standards. It is situated in the gorgeous hamlet of La Rosiere, just a few minutes drive above Samoens village, pleasantly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the town below.

This modern home is a lovely renovation in Samoens, providing accommodation for 10 guests in 4 bedrooms, with 4.5 bathrooms. Chalet Coeur is also a comfortable option for couples wanting to get away because you can be tucked away upstairs in the living area and master suite. But it is also fun to fill the house with a group of friends or one big family as there is plenty of space.

Relax in the living area by the glass fronted fireplace with stunning panoramic views of the majestic Criou mountain. After a hard day's skiing, enjoy a hot sauna, put your feet up and watch a DVD on the projector or challenge someone to a game on the pool table.

There are 4 bedrooms, including a luxurious master suite with sunken bath, rain shower and double sinks, a twin bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a cosy double bedroom and a bunk bedroom sleeping 4.

*Please note:
- There is NO television - instead there is a projector with DVD player and HDMI cable - you may watch 'television' by plugging in your computer via HDMI cable provided and connecting to the Wifi.

Pet Policy: 
We are dog-friendly and can accept up 1 small, well behaved & house trained dogs at an extra charge of €100. We ask that all furry guests are kept out of bedrooms and prevented from climbing onto furniture. All dog litter should be removed from exterior spaces (garden, porch, patio and green spaces around the property). Please confirm age and dog breed at the time of booking.

Location:
Chalet Coeur is conveniently located only 6.8kms (12 minute drive) from the Samoens village centre and the high speed 'GME' lift connecting you to the Grand Massif domain, which boasts some of the best skiing in the world. Suitable for all levels, there is over 275km of piste to explore and plenty of off-piste for more advanced skiers. Simply step outside the door and you'll be on a fantastic snow-shoeing/Nordic skiing route. In the summer, this house is a hub for adventure sports such as hiking, mountain biking, climbing and paragliding

Reaching the chalet:
It takes roughly 1 hour to reach the chalet from Geneva airport. The nearest train station is the 'Gare de Cluses' (25 minutes drive away). You will need to rent your own car and snow chains as there is no public transport from the house

Greeting Service: 
The local property management team will be in direct touch with you in the weeks leading up to your arrival to assist with last-minute details and arrival plans. Access information will be provided to you by email or whatsapp.

Vehicle Info:
For bookings between November – April. The road is regularly ploughed but it is always a good idea to arrive prepared for heavy snow conditions. It is legal requirement in the French Alps to come equipped with winter tyres and snow chains that specifically fit you vehicle

Perfect mountain getaway

This house was absolutely perfect. Nestled high in the mountains above Samoens, it was quiet and peaceful, with great amenities and huge interior space. The Pool table was a big hit with the teenagers after the days adventures. We were welcomed with a lovely basket of local produce and felt fully supported from the property manager. Would definitely book this property again next year.

Chalet Coeur is brilliant. For us it felt very homely offering loads of space for adults and kids to enjoy themselves. The chalet is very well catered and very warm with some excellent touches like the vinyl collection and the pool table. The location was excellent far enough away from town to provide peace and quiet but close enough to all the amenities and ski lift. The immediate area is stunning with loads to do and explore on your doorstep.

The property is up a lovely lane right in the mountains - it's far away from the hecticness of the main resorts which if you like a rustic feel it really hits the spot. The chalet is well appointed and cosy. Our only (small) gripe was that the check in was overly complicated trying to get the key code but we fixed it so not a big issue. We would definitely recommend the chalet to others.

Second stay at Chalet Coeur, this year we were blessed with sunshine everyday till Friday and then it snowed like a Christmas card! It was so beautiful outside and as always the chalet was perfect inside. It has to be one of the best locations if you want to be away from the crowds, snow shoeing and walks through the forest from the front door.

Il manque une télévision et une radio car le système home cinéma est difficile à installer.Un chemin en dalles serais le bienvenu pour accéder au chalet,et si il serait chauffé ce serait le top pas besoin de déneiger en hiver! Lorsqu'on annonce "Chalet de luxe", il faut tenir sa promesse. Hélas, les alentours du chalet sont encombrés de détritus, l'allée d'accès est un champ de boue et le chalet lui-même est recouvert de toiles d'araignées. Quant à l'intérieur, les canapés "blancs" sont couverts de taches et la propreté de l'ensemble douteuse. Si la cuisine est bien équipée et la literie confortable, il est regrettable qu'il n'y ait aucun placard, armoire ou commode pour ranger ses vêtements. Annoncée pour 3 chambres et 3 SDB "en suite", 2 SDB ne fonctionnaient pas (pas d'eau froide ou pas de pression), ce qui constitue un grave manquement au contrat.

this Chalet lives up to its name „Chalet Coeur“

It takes about 15-20min by car from Samoens. The road is windy and ascend steeply, at some points very narrow. If you drive an Oldtimer, you should keep your motor temperature in sight. It takes about 2,5 hours to walk. Don´t be mislead by the house front - this Chalet lives up to its name „Chalet Coeur“! Like the pictures show, the living room an kitchen area are the heart of the house. Cold evenings will be perfect while sitting around the fireplace. The house provides everything you need in every room and everything inside is very well cleaned up. Its location is amazing! You will feel like you are a part of the nature! Very nice view, fresh air and almost untouched nature will make you forget your daily routine! The area is perfekt for hiking, the waterfall nearby really is worth taking a shower. Also it is a good point of start for day trips to Chamonix or Geneve for example. Unfortunately there are some points that need to be mentioned too. The fridge and the freezer were broken when we arrived at the Chalet on saturday afternoon. Since we were staying during summer and temperatures outside around 30°C, this was not acceptable. But due to a very good personal contact during our stay, the problem was solved by monday morning. The wifi provides an insufficient quality. 1Mbit/sec download rate does not qualify for an equipment feature. Also you will not find a TV in any room, only a projector which can only be used for DVDs. To sum it up, we enjoyed staying at the Chalet very much and want to leave a special thank you for the 1st class communication with the manager of the house and the owner who created a very nice place to be.

Perfect isolated mountain location.

Peaceful with beautiful views, we felt like the surrounding landscape and forest was ours. The house is wonderful and spacious enough to deal with 3 generations, also very well equipped with things to do; sauna, music, pool table, movies and an Aga to cook on! The serious skiers and snowboarders went off everyday to higher slopes and the rest of us went snow-shoeing from the house, everyone was happy! A very professional service, we were well informed and cared for, no complaints.

Beautiful chalet with fabulous amenities

We stayed at Chalet Coeur with family, and just adored it. Communication during our stay, and in the booking process was 1st class. The chalet is so well-appointed, from comfortable beds to the sauna to the Aga, to the movie projector, to the pool table, to the beautifully preserved vinyl collection......we absolutely loved it. Cosy, stylish and relaxed all in one chalet. Take snow chains in winter :)

Simply beautiful

The chalet was everything I'd hoped for, having stared at the photos online for so long I felt I knew it before we got there! The open plan living space worked perfectly for our grown up family, allowing us all to be together whilst cooking, reading, playing pool....The kitchen was equipped with everything a gourmet chef would need, we had a raclette, a curry night and made home made pizzas. I had underestimated how beautiful the surrounding mountainside would be (the flowers!!!)and was delighted to discover the waterfall you could stand under 15 walk from the chalet. We can thoroughly recommend the white water rafting, paragliding and cable car from Samoens. We had a fabulous week and I didn't want to leave.

Un grand chalet très confortable et rénové avec beaucoup de gout, à quelques km de Samöens, dans un endroit très reposant. Idéal pour des vacances au calme l'été, avec tout l'équipement et le confort indispensable pour passer un séjour agréable. Le propriétaire, avec qui nous avons échangé par mail, est sympathique et très arrangeant. La personne qui nous a accueillie est très agréable également, mais ne parle pas français, donc peu d'explication sur le fonctionnement du chalet, mais ce n'est pas un gros problème, tout s'est bien passé ensuite pendant le séjour. Je recommande vivement ce chalet en été.

Amazing!

The chalet is amazing, better than what we were expecting based on the pictures and description on the website. Each room is independent with its own bathroom. The common room is perfect to share moments with friends and children. The chalet is located in a very beautiful area, only 10 mn from the village when it´s not snowing. As it is clearly mentioned in the description, 4x4 with winter tires or chains are necessary in case of heavy snow falls. We had a great time (7 adults and 4 children) and plan to enjoy this wonderful chalet again. I will not forget the great welcoming and disponibility of Jasper, the concierge. Thank you again.

Family Ski Trip

We have just returned from an amazing stay at the beautiful Chalet Coeur, Samoens. The chalet is exactly as described and shown, with wonderful bedrooms, bathrooms, fabulous lounge, fireplace and a very well equipped kitchen (fell in love with the AGA) with stunning views from every window! The only downside is that the property is approx. 3.5miles from Samoens up a very long & winding road, which when its snowy, you definitely need snow chains & 4x4. Very much hoping to pay a return visit next year!

A amazing mountain hideaway

A amazing mountain hideaway. The team could not help enough to make our stay very welcoming. The only down side is it is a good 20min out of town and you will need to be confident with driving in the snow if visiting in the winter. Saying that managed fine with a Ford Focus with chains. I can not recommend this place enough if you like peace and quiet.
