About this property
Cottage Close To The Coastal Path and Beaches Of Borth Y Gest & Morfa Bychan
Ffermdy Bach (little farmhouse) is a self contained one bedroom cottage adjoining ourtraditional farmhouse. With its own entrance and large private garden it is the perfect getaway for a couple. Situated between the villages of Borth y Gest and Morfa Bychan, the beach path is only a few minutes walk away leading down to the sandy beaches of Borth y Gest. Black Rock Sands is a 15 minute walk away, you can even walk all the way to Criccieth along the mile long sandy beach. There is a pub, the Black Rock Beach Club in nearby Morfa Bychan (20 minutes walk) or a 15 minute walk takes you into Borth y Gest with its bistro and cafe.
A fantastic base for exploring Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula, other nearby attractions include Porthmadog (1.5miles) with its famous Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways, Portmeirion (4 miles) and the towns and castles of Criccieth and Harlech just a short drive away.
The cottage has one comfortable bedroom with some antique furniture and cotton bed linen on the new king size bed. All pillows and duvet are feather filled. There is room for a cot (not provided) if you have a young baby.
The upstairs shower room(no bath) has a heated towel rail and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels. Soap and shower gel provided.
We have recently fitted a new fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher. All kitchen utensils are provided as are basic supplies of tea, coffee, cooking oil, salt and pepper, washing up liquid, tea towels etc
The sitting room is cosy with a log burner with free supply of logs. There are books, maps and information as well as a few board games.
There is a dining area with table and chairs and the smart TV has Netflix and iplayer.
There is a seating area in the large private garden and a fire pit where you can burn logs at no extra charge from our log store. You will see rabbits and squirels in the garden and there are many interesting birds including owls and buzzards.
In June, July and August we only accept bookings for 7 nights with arrival on a Friday.
We have an EV charging point for electric vehicles, please contact us for rates
