The house is ideally situated for you to come and enjoy everything that the region has to offer. It has Blue flag beaches and breath taking coastal walks just minutes from the doorstep. If its surfing you want, then there are plenty of excellent Surf Schools to teach you the basics and for the more advanced surfers, you are spoilt for choice with three town beaches just four minutes walk away and other excellent beaches within a ten minute drive. Just around the corner from the house is one of Cornwall's most enjoyable and challenging 18 hole links golf courses with views down to the sea. There are gentle walks inland along the canal, starting at the wharf with its impressive lock-gates. There is also an enjoyable cycle path inland to Marhamchurch. Bude is blessed with an array of fine restaurants serving wonderful local seafood and meat from the surrounding ports and farms. You could easily eat out every night of your stay and watch the sunset with a glass of wine in your hand.

Fantastic house, facilities and location

Clean, bright and airy, the open plan kitchen diner & lounge area suited our family of 5 really well…. On sunny days opening the bifold doors to feel the sunny breeze was also fab! Location is brilliant - so close to our favourite beach (Crocklets), Rosie’s cafe and easy to access walks to Northcott or Compass point… we’d love to go back and stay here again. Host was lovely; informative but not intrusive. Thank you!

A great practical holiday property.

Holiday’s in Bude is nothing new to us but this was our first time staying in here. The property was perfect for our family (both little ones <5 and the grandparents) especially the new extension that allowed for practical family time just like we have at home. The property was very well kept and there had clearly been a lot of thought into what was provided in the property.

Superb holiday home

Absolutely great property for family holiday. Lovely large house with everything needed to provide a home from home feel. Very well equipped and several lovely extras. Location excellent .Beach at the end of the road. Super hosts and nothing too much trouble for them only aim is to give you a great experience. Would certainly give it 5 stars.

Brilliant find by the beach!

Fabulous house with a gorgeous kitchen extension and decking area where we spent most of our time catching the last of the sun! Downstairs wet room was brilliant after a day at the beach surfing. Brilliant communication from the host and a lovely little welcome basket on arrival. Location is fabulous, 5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from the town and supermarket. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Martin and family :-)

Beautiful and fabulous!

The most warm and welcoming home we had the pleasure to stay in. Some lovely Cornish treats we thoroughly enjoyed on arrival. The kitchen was our main family time hang out, well equipped, the space for us all to chill together in there was perfect. The bedrooms were airy and comfortable, and all around excellent facilities! We loved that the stroll to the beach it took us around a 5 minute walk (maybe 10 at a push with the children!) We have been coming to Bude for many years for our holidays and this beautiful home we stayed in has to be marked at 10/10, one of the best places we have stayed.

Fabulous house perfect location

This is one of the nicest houses we have stayed in. The new kitchen extension is fabulous. We were three generations with teenagers and grandparents and the house easily accommodated all of us. The showers were excellent and the deck was wonderful for breakfast in the sunshine or an evening glass of wine. The location is perfect - walking distance to everything. We hardly used the car, and even when we did onstreet parking was never a problem. Martin and his family were super hosts. Would highly recommend this house.

Amazing property in bude - highly recommended

We have just had an amazing stay at this property as 4 adults and 2 children. There was plenty of space and it was a beautiful, fully equipped house that had everything we needed and more. We were able to walk to the beach in our wetsuits with our bodyboards and the warm outside shower was great for when we returned. The garden was so sunny for relaxing in whilst the kids played and the bifold doors from the kitchen to the garden were great too as we enjoyed some lovely weather. We were also pleased that we could access our amazon and netflix accounts on the main TV and that there was also more than one sitting room so we didn't have to all watch the same programme! We spent the week there and apart from 1 trip out we kept the car parked and explored bude each day as there is so much to do. We were all very impressed with the property and hope to return again next year. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Just Fantastic..

Despite the poor weather, we had an amazing family holiday in Bude, made perfect by staying in this fabulous home. The house is less than a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach, supermarket and the Town Centre. It has everything you could possibly need. The inside space is superb, as a three generational family with teenagers we had so much room to spread out. Smart TVs in both living areas along with a games room / gym were an added bonus. The kitchen area is the real hub of the home extending out onto a lovely patio area. The downstairs shower room is a great addition to the property. Martin is a very personable host, nothing was too much trouble, he telephoned on our arrival day to let us know the house was ready so we could check in early, he was available to answer any questions we had during our stay (we had a chance meeting at Zuma Jay Surf Shop - highly recommend this place for hiring wetsuits and body boards). Would recommend this house without hesitation, would definitely stay again the next time we visit Bude.

This is by far 1 of the best holiday homes I have ever stayed at with a very good host who is willing to go that little bit more to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. As for the property it is outstanding and kitted out with the highest of spec. Would recommend thus to anyone.

Had a lovely stay at this house. Very close to the beach and short walking distance to town. We walked to the beach most mornings in our wetsuits to catch the early morning waves. Local supermarket in walking distance which was very handy. We all had a fantastic time!

Great proximity to Crooklets beach, wore our wet suits to the beach which was a first for us. Close walking distance to all other amenities too. My wife and I are teachers and rent our home out during the summer holidays. We have a young family and hope our family home fills your holiday with as many happy memories as it has done for us.

Why they chose this property

We moved to Bude when my wife secured her first teaching post. I then secured my post locally and we have never looked back. We adore the stunning location that North Cornwall offers with its wild rugged coastline interspersed with beautiful beaches. As two keen surfers we always new we wanted to find a home where we could get our wetsuits on in the garden and walk down to the beach for a surf. With this house we had found the perfect location.

Bude does not boast the wild night spots that some over commercialised parts of Cornwall offer, but instead prides itself with its rustic charm and relaxed vibe that gets into your heart and soul and brings you back again and again.

We now have two young boys and feel we are in the most perfect location to bring them up in.

What makes this property unique

If you are looking to just turn up at a beautiful seaside town and unwind then this is just the perfect location. Hang up your car keys, forget about the work you left behind, have breakfast on the deck in the morning sun, spend all day in the invigorating Atlantic ocean or explore the footpaths and trails around the town. Then wander back down to the beach with a bottle of wine and a couple of glasses and watch the sun set after a truly spectacular day only to start it all again the next day. Days will blur and you will leave feeling refreshed and rested with salt in your veins.
