OCEAN FRONT, 7M BEACH, PLANTATION VILLAGE #28

Beautiful views as you relax on your lanai overlooking the world famous seven mile beach. Master bedroom with in suite bath. Patio door to the french balcony is an arms reach from the king size bed in the master room. Wake up, roll over and gaze at the gorgeous aqua blue Caribbean water and white beach. The condo sleeps six with a master bedroom, en suite bathroom, guest bedroom, bedroom/den, shared guest bathroom, large living area, dinning area and kitchen area. Washer and dryer available (laundry soap provided), air conditioned, and new large screen high definition TV. The condo is third floor which lends itself to more privacy, security and sweeping views of the Caribbean. (I also figure those added steps balances the sunset wine and cheese). Two amazing pools on property, one overlooking the ocean and the other, which is very child friendly is located in middle of the property. Lighted tennis courts, a child's play area, kayaks, paddle-boards, bikes are available for your use at no extra charge. Wonderful barbecue area with large Weber gas grills conveniently located.
Extra amenities SPECIFIC TO MY CONDO (#28), besides the best view on the property include, snorkel equipment X4, chilled filtered water dispenser, games, DVDs, six tennis rackets, sand toys, foot cleaning area prior to entering the condo complete with chair and towels to wipe your feet, amazing art work, multiple chairs, stools, foot stools and pillows for your comfort. Amazingly well stocked kitchen as I do stay here 3 months of the year. I purposely kept one standard bathtub for young children. Because of the unique location of #28, the lanai provides a wonderful sun filled spot and a nice area that always has some shade for when you have had a little too much sun. This particular condo also has the best breezes as prevailing winds are northeast to southwest and condo #28 is located top floor, northwest corner of the front building of the property catches those breezes wonderfully. When staying here we rarely use the air conditioning. I just love the breezes and the sound of lapping waves.
The property is wonderfully located on the south end of Seven Mile Beach making car rental an option. When you arrive in George Town, Plantation Village is a short 10 minute Taxi ride. Just note on your emigration form you are staying at Plantation Village, and tell the same to the taxi driver. We have an office that is open 8 to 5 and will be awaiting your arrival. Please let me know if you will be arriving later and arrangements will be made for you to check in and get keys. Once on property you can choose to rent a car, catch a taxi, use the public bus transportation which runs frequently on West Bay Road, or simply walk. It is easy walking distance to Kirk's well stocked supermarket, Big Daddy's liquor store, and many great restaurants. Camana Bay is an upscale shopping/eating area again in easy walking distance. A booklet with our favorite restaurants is in the condo. Two properties away is the Marriott hotel with ocean side dinning, bar and water sports for rent.

Beautiful ocean front unit that is well appointed. Nicely remodeled and great complex with small beach and 2 pools. Walk to shopping and restaurants. We always rent a car however and parking is easy. Spotless and friendly, helpful staff on site.

Cayman fun

The condo was very nice, had a great view and came with many extras you don't normally have - beach towels, snorkel gear, a lot of kitchen utensils (inc. bar accessories) and small appliances, filtered water, a washer and dryer, a book with menus from places to eat, a map showing places of interest, etc. The property had two pools and was nicely landscaped. Our host was very helpful, answered all our questions, got us early checkin and made helpful suggestions.

Beautiful condo in great location on Seven Mile Beach!

There were four adults in our party and all of us loved the condo, especially the lanai. It was our favorite place to sit! Overall the condo was very spacious, clean, and well-stocked. The hosts had done an excellent job in labeling items and providing directions on how to use the TV, lighting, etc. The VRBO description was spot-on and we highly recommend these hosts and this condo for anyone looking to have a wonderful Grand Cayman vacation. Thank you!

Overall we were very pleased with our stay at this condominium. You were directly on the beach. There is a wonderful view out the master bedroom window every morning and off the porch. The beach in front of the condo is nice in that it is not crowded the way it is in front of the large hotels. It was great for our one, two, and six-year-old children to play in safely. The condo was very clean and well-maintained. The office staff were helpful and provided a crib for us. Laura also had a pack and play in the condo for our two-year-old. I would highly recommend this condo for others.

As nice as the pictures suggest!

This is a terrific place to stay, we were very pleased. As described in the listing, this front corner unit has a fantastic view and receives the best breeze. Laura has stocked the place with everything you could need, and more. The amenities are high quality, the interior cheerful and attractive, and even the beds are comfortable. Also, this place is centrally located, only a short drive from the airport and from Georgetown. Yes, the beach dimensions out front have been reduced by wave action, but that's the same all up and down Seven Mile Beach--there are still plenty of sand to stroll and smooth sections to enter the water. Bottom line, we were very pleased and would definitely consider staying here again in the future. Thank you, Laura!

It was our first time in the Caymans and it did not disappoint. I could live on the Lanai with its beautiful and serene view of the ocean and 7 Mile Beach. This condo is well-appointed, everything you need for an extended stay. It also has updated appliances and a water dispenser to keep you hydrated. Love to enjoy the sea and snorkel? This host has everything you need to venture into the water. The location is great, close to the local Kirk Market for groceries, liquor stores on every corner and lots a great places nearby to eat--almond croissants at Icoa, seafood at The Wharf, jerk-everything at Peppers and a stone's throw from Ms. Pipers. We took advantage of the abundance of local buses and the Bird scooters. Our host was SUPER responsive ensuring our stay was relaxing and carefree. Would return happily! Wonderful time at Plantation Village

My family of five just finished our stayed at Plantation Village 17,14 and 11 year old children. This condo was a perfect fit for us. The place was extremely clean and comfortable. Top notch appliances and cooking ware along with a top of the line washer/dryer. Flat panel tv's with directtv, room to spread out and the outdoor patio was very peaceful. The condo is nicely decorated with new furniture and set up perfectly for a beach vacation. The condo is located on the 3rd floor so nobody is above you. The view from the condo is breathtaking and well located on the beach. Easy walk down to the Marriott if you want beach excursions but far enough away that you aren't stacked on top of each other. Most of the time we had 2 or 3 other families around instead of 100's of people. Laura went out of her way to provide us with recommendations for eating out and what to see while in town. She was very responsive to our questions and helpful. We found the condo development itself to have very nice families and met a number of very nice people.

The pictures don't do this place justice - what a perfectly appointed condo - with amazing amenities in great condition, breath-taking views of 7-Mile Beach, amazing shower pressure, comfy comfy beds, a phenomenal kitchen, and every possible detail thought of! Bonus points: Laura labeled everything and those little details removed all guesswork for us as renters, helping us enjoy the "island-life" that much more. Also, Laura has painstakingly put together a binder to help us decide what to do each night (menus, maps, etc.). Pictures of Laura's family, local art, and even magnets/mugs from some of the visitors' home-towns completed the ambiance. Just believe me, you're going to love this place as much as we did. You can't beat the location either. 15 minutes from the airport ($20 USD taxi). Any/every type of cuisine from an Irish Pub to Thai to amazing local jerk-BBQ within a 20-minute walk. You'll be situated at the southern-most end of 7-Mile Beach, so it's very quiet and we never had to battle cruise ship guests for loungers. Two crystal blue pools, and perfect snorkeling right off the shore. I saw a nurse shark, a ray, a green sea turtle, sea snake, and even a few barracuda. No rentals required- there's kayaks, SUPs, brand new snorkel gear, tennis rackets, board games, movies, Netflix & Amazon Prime, high-speed internet, etc. Also, the complex includes some nice touches: Monday morning coffee and baked goods on the beach, Tuesday evening beach-front calypso music and condo-wide potluck, and all of the staff are soo friendly and made us feel welcome and safe. If you STILL have a doubt in your mind that Laura's unit isn't perfect, email her any questions. She knows the island so well, responded to me within the hour, and actually lives there for a portion of the year so she's basically a free local guide. Thank you so much Laura, I'll be back next year!!

Highly recommend!

Highly recommend! This condo is well equipped inside and out, very clean and the perfect spot to relax. The view is amazing and you feel like you are waking up on the beach every day! The beach area is small, but seems private with free loungers and umbrellas. We usually stay at resorts and I think it was the most relaxing vacation I’ve ever had. It was marvelous to be able to come and go as we pleased without worrying about renting or returning beach chairs or equipment. We would spend a few hours on the beach in the morning, go find an activity, come back and spend a few more hours on the beach, go find a place to eat, come back and crash, and repeat. It was hard to stay away from The Lobster Pot, awesome food, friendly staff and a fun walk to get there. We got so many suggestions of things to do or places to eat from some of the other condo owners on the beach that we didn’t spend much time in the condo. But if it was rainy or bad weather this condo and its views is where I’d want to be. I’d like to go back just to take advantage of the views from the condo. The perfect place to unplug, recharge, and reconnect.

Great place to stay in GC

We love Grand Cayman! This condo made the trip comfortable and relaxing. This place is very well equipped. The kitchen had all the things, even a water filter for your cold water bottles! Like many other places in GC, you will need to be ready for steps up to this floor, but that would not stop me from coming back. Kayaks and paddle boards to use, 2 pools, tons of great places to eat around town. You can sit out on the screened in balcony and watch/listen to the waves and watch the sunset. we have been on 7 dives this year in GC. One of our favorites.

Great location and stunning views

This is the perfect place to stay. The place is literally oceanfront, and the pool is steps from the beach. There are 2 pools, but we preferred the one near the beach. I enjoyed spending time on the patio at night just hearing the waves crashing. The beach isn’t big, but enough for a few families to stay, lay out, and go swimming. The shower in the condo has great water pressure and is a delight to take a shower in. We typically cooked breakfast at the house, and the complementary coffee was a bonus. We actually finished the coffee and I bought a new jar before we left just so the next family has coffee in the morning. The washer and dryer was a bonus, and we did laundry daily to keep our dirty clothing at a minimum.

Fantastic Location - Beautiful Views

We had a wonderful experience with this property. Laura was a fantastic host and very responsive with recommendations and advice. The property is gorgeous and has one of the best views you'll find in Seven Mile Beach. The screened-in lanai offers quiet, unspoiled views of the ocean. The condo was well-appointed, clean, and roomy enough for our family to spread out and truly relax. The pools and beachfront offer everything you need without having to leave the property. We can't recommend this property enough and hope to return again someday!

Cozy beach, great condo, great location.

A perfect spot to relax. This condo unit is very well equipped, very clean and comfortable. The pools are nice and the view is amazing. The beach area is small, but seems private with many lounges and umbrellas. Also has kayak's, paddleboards, etc available for use (not rent). Location is very good - walkable to numerous restraunts and shopping areas. Our host, Laura, was very responsive and has labeled almost everything from light switches, fans and faucets for how they works and cabinets and drawers for what's inside of them. A perfect amenity for a visitor. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful condo!

The condo was very comfortable and perfect for 4 adults. As noted in the listing, the beach is very small. We rented a car for the week and drove to other beaches which were great for snorkeling.

Good Location on 7-Mile Beach

Unit was as described and within walking distance of many things on 7-mile beach. Only negative was that there was just a sliver of beach left at the property which we still managed to utilize. Also the Public Bus was super-easy to get to go anywhere on 7-mile beach.

Great location on 7-Mile Beach!

One full week on Grand Cayman staying at this property. No complaints here. My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed the condo. Everything we wanted to do or see was 15 minutes or less away, which is good if you rent a car and have to pay for expensive gas. Camana Bay is a great location. West Bay for water activities, north western shore for great restaurants.

I am a retired physician married to a retired middle school teacher. I grew up in lower Michigan and had the opportunity to visit Grand Cayman with my mother and her friends when I was 20 years old. Fast forward to age 38, pregnant, two preschoolers in tow, I again visited Cayman, stayed at Plantation Village and fell in love with the property. Having made my home in South Dakota, looking forward to a warm vacation every February allowed me to survive my new harsher environment. In 2016 we had the opportunity to purchase unit #28. We did an extensive remodel with our comfort in mind as we stay on island 3 months out of the year.
Consequently #28 is not your typical "rental unit" but our home we love to share.
We now have five adult children, one daughter-in-law (proposed to on 7 mile beach of course), one son-in-law (also 7 mile proposal), two Tonkinese cats (who miss us dearly when we are on island). Are first grand child, Henry, nearly five years old has been on island three times. Unfortunately, he and his little brother were not able to come to Cayman because of Covid but will probably get down here summer 2022! We have come full circle and will continue spinning around!

Why they chose this property

So my family, above, started vacationing in unit #28 in 1992. We initially owned two, then four weeks of a time share in this unit and traveled yearly to our favorite relaxation spot. In 2016 the entire unit came up for sale and we bought. February 2016 we completely remodeled the unit--all the things I had dreamed about for years. Making a great property awesome. We remodeled with our comfort and use in mind but are pleased to share this dream with our guests. We hope you grow to love Cayman and this unit in particular the way we do.
Extras we have provided in unit #28 include games, store of DVDs, tennis rackets and 4 sets of snorkel equipment. The sunny lanai is partially shaded with beautiful views of the Caribbean sea and fantastic sunsets.

What makes this property unique

This is an amazing property and unit #28 is the pinnacle unit. The unit is second floor which allows privacy and sweeping views. Plantation Village is located south on 7 mile beach. We are the corner unit on the north side of the building which affords a grand view up the entire stretch of 7 mile beach. The unit was completely remodeled in 2016 with open floor plan allowing visiting together while in the living area, dinning area, kitchen and lanai. Kitchen is well appointed. A small stock of nonperishables are available in the kitchen, so check the cupboard out before you go shopping. Filtered chilled water dispenser in the kitchen so no lugging water up to the unit. Smart TV with Netflix available. Both bathrooms have been updated with multiple areas to accommodate toiletries. Also many touches such as multiple hooks available to hang bathing suits, towels, and USB ports in every room for charging all your electronics. Basin provided to use by the door with a hook for "sand" towels (blue towels in laundry cupboard) to clean sand off your feet. High end washer and dryer in the unit with laundry soap provided.
Plantation Village is well situated on the beach close to most anything you would need. Across the West Bay Road is Coconut Joes-- local causal restaurant/bar. Down West Bay Road going south towards George Town is Big Daddy's liquor store. Located above the liquor store is XQs which is very good food at reasonable prices. Further down the road in 7 Mile Plaza is my favorite bakery of all times with the best almond croissants in the world and very interesting evening selections. In that same plaza is a dive shop for buying or renting snorkeling gear. No need to rent a boat to go snorkeling, simply walk in from our beach and swim out to the near by reef. The Marriott Hotel is just north on 7 mile, a 5 minute walk on the beach for morning cappuccinos, lattes, evening island drinks, restaurant over looking the Caribbean and water sport rentals available.
