All one needed ror a short break away. The cottage had everything to make a very pleasant stay. Emma was always available if needed and was quick to respond when she was needed. From having a car port for the car, to plenty of room outside to enjoy the fine weather. Thhe cottage provided everythinng we needed for our stay.10/10 rated and will deffinatly be back again in the future.
Emma sent us very clear directions and gave us a lovely welcome. Gardener's Cottage is well cared for, comfortable and in a lovely setting. It's is cosy but not cramped. We had a lovely holiday with highlights including Bribham Rocks and Fountains Abbey (both so much more extensive and stunning than we expected), Knaresborough's river Nidd (with stunning viaduct views from the castle and museum), and Harrogate's gardens all the way from the centre to RHS Harlow Carr. Betty's tea rooms deserve their famous reputation several times over. It was always nice to come back to our comfy cosy cottage at the end of another happy day out. We have had a great holiday. Thank you Emma.
Everything we needed. A private area to sit outside, comfortable bed, good lounge/dining/kitchen area and decent bathroom. Places to dine in walking and short driving distances. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area of Knaresborough, Boroughbridge, Harrogate.
Cozy cottage with all necessary facilities, and GREAT hosts who responded caringly to all requests. We are 70 year old "quite well travelled adventurers" and found delightful market towns, picnic spots.. and pubs in vicinity. The evening walk to the local was very pleasant, the food portions generous, and daily dishes enjoyable. Special thanks to our hosts who were very attentive to our arthiritic needs in climbing the 7 or 8 stairs when entering and leaving the cottage. Strongly recommended.
Wonderful accommodation in a lovely village with a great pub within walking distance.Knarsborough is nearby with boat hire and walks along the river and Fountains Abbey national trust is definitely worth a day trip to.
Little cottage with just the right size for two people. Not perfect, but it met our expectations. Fully equipped, peaceful, with many sights (country houses, abbeys, gardens, villages) within a 30-45 min's drive. Friendly and helpful hosts.
Comfortable and well equipped cottage. Location is in a lovely, quiet village but easy to get to all the main tourist attractions.Bed comfortable and good shower. Kitchen has full cooker, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. Private garden area. Hosts welciming and helpful.
A very cosy and charming cottage with a pleasant and private outdoor space. It was very well equipped with everything required for a pleasant stay. It is also very well located for exploring the North Yorkshire area, with Harrogate and York within easy reach by car.
Comfortable and well equipped home from home. Welcoming and communicative hosts and an excellent guide to the local area. The parking disc was a handy and thoughtful idea! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cooked a few nights in, kitchen is fine and functional. The bath is large and lovely and the bed comfortable .
One big comfy sofa with extra blankets would be an upgrade to the living room.
Thank you! <3
The cottage was ideal for our stay in Yorkshire. Great location ... nice and quiet in a pretty village with a lovely nature reserve and decent pub. Easy reach of the Dales, Ripon, York, Harrogate and Fountains Abbey. Easy check in with private parking. The windfall apples were a bonus! Warm and comfy, decent WiFi and TV that worked. We had a small problem with the toilet but Emma got it repaired swiftly and without a fuss. Would definitely stay again.
Great position for visiting surrounding towns of York, Knaresborough and Harrogate also local National Trust properties.
