Emma sent us very clear directions and gave us a lovely welcome. Gardener's Cottage is well cared for, comfortable and in a lovely setting. It's is cosy but not cramped. We had a lovely holiday with highlights including Bribham Rocks and Fountains Abbey (both so much more extensive and stunning than we expected), Knaresborough's river Nidd (with stunning viaduct views from the castle and museum), and Harrogate's gardens all the way from the centre to RHS Harlow Carr. Betty's tea rooms deserve their famous reputation several times over. It was always nice to come back to our comfy cosy cottage at the end of another happy day out. We have had a great holiday. Thank you Emma.
Fountains Abbey.
Studley Royal Gardens joined to Fountains Abbey
Inside Fountains Abbey. Extensive ruins, fun to explore
Betty's tea rooms, where I had the most exquisite afternoon tea with the most exquisite little sandwiches of my whole life by far.

Lovely 6 nights in Yorkshire countryside

Cozy cottage with all necessary facilities, and GREAT hosts who responded caringly to all requests. We are 70 year old "quite well travelled adventurers" and found delightful market towns, picnic spots.. and pubs in vicinity. The evening walk to the local was very pleasant, the food portions generous, and daily dishes enjoyable. Special thanks to our hosts who were very attentive to our arthiritic needs in climbing the 7 or 8 stairs when entering and leaving the cottage. Strongly recommended.

Comfortable and relaxing.

Little cottage with just the right size for two people. Not perfect, but it met our expectations. Fully equipped, peaceful, with many sights (country houses, abbeys, gardens, villages) within a 30-45 min's drive. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Lovely peaceful escape

Comfortable and well equipped home from home. Welcoming and communicative hosts and an excellent guide to the local area. The parking disc was a handy and thoughtful idea! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cooked a few nights in, kitchen is fine and functional. The bath is large and lovely and the bed comfortable . One big comfy sofa with extra blankets would be an upgrade to the living room. Thank you! <3

Cosy and comfortable, great location

The cottage was ideal for our stay in Yorkshire. Great location ... nice and quiet in a pretty village with a lovely nature reserve and decent pub. Easy reach of the Dales, Ripon, York, Harrogate and Fountains Abbey. Easy check in with private parking. The windfall apples were a bonus! Warm and comfy, decent WiFi and TV that worked. We had a small problem with the toilet but Emma got it repaired swiftly and without a fuss. Would definitely stay again.

We moved here with our 2 children for them to experience village life yet be near enough to the towns and attractions we also enjoy experiencing.

Kind regards, Emma
