About the host
Hosted by Michael Braidwood
I am in my mid 40s and have two teenage children. I work in the Club / Sports sector. The main attraction for me buying a property in the Cairngorm National Park was due to enjoying a number of great family holidays in the area. There is so much to do and definitely something for everyone. The area is so beautiful and relaxing that I find it a great place to recharge my batteries!
Why they chose this property
I bought Sneuk Head in 2006 after experiencing many enjoyable family holidays in the Cairngorm National Park. At the time we lived over seas and used the house as a relaxing retreat and to allow my children to experience the great variety of outdoor activities on offer in the area. I used the house as a family home for one year when we returned to Scotland, it was great to live in the local area and learn more about what there is to do. Unfortunately work required me to move again so we now let the house to people looking to enjoy the local area.
As a family man who works in the Club and Sports industry I find the area a great place to relax and enjoy a variety of leisure pursuits.

What makes this property unique
The property feels remote, but it is very accessible being only 1 mile off the main highway (A9) and 1.5 miles from the small town of Kingussie which has a railway station.
Being in the centre of the Cairngorm National Park there is so much to do golf, skiing, cycling, walking, eating!, along with many heritage and cultural sites. The house over looks the Inch marshes which is a RSPA site so bird watching comes easily!
