Cedars House - Georgian house, 8 bedrooms near Symonds Yat & River Wye sleeps 18

A large Georgian house situated in a village in rural Herefordshire, furnished in a vintage style for up to 18 guests in 8 bedrooms. Perfect for reunions, special occasions or family breaks. (Please note: we are unable to accept large, noisy parties such as Hen or Stag weekends).

Many leisure activities are also available locally including walking, canoeing, golf and climbing. There are various pubs and restaurants within walking distance and the local shop/delicatessen is just around the corner.

On the other side of the village there are many tourist attractions including a maze, crazy golf and butterfly house.

Both Ross and Monmouth are a short drive away and have interesting shops and a wide variety of eating establishments.

It was a perfect house for a family celebration!

Clean house! With lovely kitchen, nice dinning room. And the outside space was perfect for a lunch out when weather permitting.

Hosted by Jan and Jonathan Knibbs

Jan and Jonathan Knibbs welcome you to Cedars House which they have lovingly restored over the years. They married in 1992 and bought the house a few years later. It provided a lovely family home for their children Jake and twins Alice and Matt and gave them the space they needed to run around and play many games such as "hide and seek".

Why they chose this property

Cedars House also proved to be the perfect party venue and Jan and Jonathan became well known for hosting many memorable themed parties and murder mysteries where Jan's collection of vintage clothes and finds came into their own.

As their children grew up and started to go their separate ways, the house began to feel like an "empty nest" and echoed with the happy memories it had witnessed. It became apparent that it could become the perfect venue for other large groups to commemorate a special occasion.

As Jan has used her design skills and eye for detail to create a lovely vintage inspired atmosphere they thought it would be perfect for families and groups of friends to hold a special get together and they have spent the last few years getting it ready.

Cedars House is well positioned near the A40 between Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye and it's central location means easily reached from most parts of the U.K.

The house plenty of room for up to 16 people to relax and unwind, including parking for approx. 8 cars.
