Finca Arboleda Garden Suite, Idyllic, rural but not remote.

Finca Arboleda Orange Grove Garden Suite is situated in the countryside near Vera in Almeria. It has 5000 sq metres, over an acre, of mature fenced gardens. We live here and also have a detached two bedroom bungalow, The Old Stables, which sleeps a maximum of 4 people and which we also offer for holiday lets. They both have use of a fantastic 10 metre x 5 metre swimming pool which is always a big hit with guests.
The Orange Grove Garden Suite has one large bedroom with king sized bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, There is a recently refitted bathroom with a shower and an open plan kitchen, dining, sitting room. The kitchen, new for 2026, is well equipped with a microwave including a grill, air fryer and oven. large fridge freezer a cool bag for beach visits is also available. A dining table and chairs for 2 people, there is use of a washing machine and it has all the usual things you will need, just ask if you need anything else and if possible we are happy to help. The sitting area has two leather reclining chairs, TV with sports, movies, box sets and international channels and of course free WiFi.
Outside there is a large table with chairs, sun umbrella and bbq. The garden is big with mainly Olive, Fig, Pomegranate, Orange and Lemon trees. The fantastic pool has enough sunbeds, umbrellas and side tables for all guests.
We are certain you will enjoy a holiday here as much as we have loved living here for over 22 years.
Finca Arboleda is fully legal and registered with the tourist authority as a rural tourist accommodation, VTAR/AL/00189.

Dream setting in the sun

The accomodation had everything we wished for, it was very clean, towels and bedclothes were replaced after a week, lovely garden and swimming pool and the hosts Pirrko and Mick were very welcoming and friendly. I can highly recommend the place.

Wir haben hier zusammen mit unserer Hündin Franziska zwei wundervolle Wochen verbracht. Die Finca ist super ausgestattet und verbreitet einen typisch spanischen Charme. Der Garten mit Obst- und Olivenbäumen ist sehr schön angelegt und wird mit Liebe gepflegt. Der Pool ist einzigartig und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Die Lage der Finca ist ideal um Tagesausflüge zu unternehmen. Der nächstgelegene sehr schöne Strand ist mit dem Auto innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Franziska hat sich sehr wohlgefühlt und wird, genauso wie wir, unsere herzlichen Gastgeber, Pirkko und Mick, in guter Erinnerung behalten.

Finca Arboleda Orange Grove accommodation

This is a fantastic place owned by Mike & Pirrko who keep their accommodations and surroundings immaculately. The details and facitiies about the property are completely accurate. We were most impressed and will definitely be recommending to friends and family. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the pool area is ideallic. The owners are very helpful and polite yet offer you as much privacy as wish for. We visited Cabo de Gato, Velez Rubio and the Vera Playa beach areas plus we enjoyed some nightlife in the VP hotel street area. We enjoyed our stay in this region very much even though we were unlucky with the weather. We definitely brought our Irish rain with usunfortunately but this cannot be helped. Despite the few days of rain we had a great break away and will definitely be returning to the area and to the Finca Arboleda if they have availability when the time comes. If I was lucky enough to own such a slice of paradise, I'm not sure I could share it with others!! Regards Rodney & Carolyne, Cavan, Ireland

Lives up to its promise

We spent 2 weeks in the orange grove apartment and enjoyed every minute. Waking to the scent of orange blossoms and picking your mandarins and lemons fresh from the tree was a delight as was the view of the lovely garden with sea and mountain views in the distance, and walking paths allaround the country side. Having a bicycle available was a bonus. One does need a car , though many sights are nearby. Michael and Pirkko were wonderful hosts sharing their friends and stories willingly without imposing on one's privacy. The space itself was roomy and comfortable with everything provided one could need. Wish we could come here more often but it is a long journey from western Canada.

Spring really is a beautiful time here with the trees in blossom and flowers in bloom. We have had guests from Australia and now Canada as well as all over Europe and it's always interesting to welcome new people. If you can face the journey again you would be very welcome.

Wonderful apartment in a beautiful setting.

We had a fantastic 2 weeks at this accommodation. We stayed in the Orange Grove apartment which is so clean, well equipped and spacious. We also saw the Stables accommodation at this property which sleeps 4 and were very impressed. The owners, Mick and Pirrko were lovely and always ready to help with information,directions and advice on the area, even down to where we could purchase a particular type of brandy for a friend back home ! The garden and pool area is beautiful and we loved picking the lemons off the trees for our drinks. We also loved Stig, their very laid back, friendly dog. There is so many gorgeous places to visit nearby and we can't wait to return. We would highly recommend this accommodation. Hopefully we will be back next year !

A perfect spot

A beautiful place. We've been many times at different times if the year and still there is always something new we discover about the area, a new fruit to pick from their plentiful trees, this time apricots. Wonderful hosts. Mick and Pirkko and stig always welcoming, knowledgable and fun. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. We have also stayed in the villa and equally as lovely, we stayed with our new addition of our little boy and it was a perfect restorative first holiday as a family. Go! x

A great base for a peaceful, relaxing, holiday, The property we found to be very clean, equipped to a very high standard, even down to cling film. Had no complaints whatsoever. Fantastic pool. As stated by previous guests we found the owners Michael and Pirkko to be very hospitable, helpful and discrete, not at all in your face. Looking forward to our next visit. Found that car was essential, due to location.

TIME TO RELAX!

We had talked about what would be a perfect holiday, before we booked anywhere this year. What we wanted was a place that that was quiet, where you could please yourself on times, where there was no problems over sun loungers or overcrowded, chlorine drenched pools (somewhere you could have a proper swim in the morning!).We wanted a venue that was also near enough to beaches and places of interest and you wouldn't have to worry about the weather-at a reasonable price. You might think that would be difficult to find -but we found all of these qualities in August at the Orange Grove Apartment. The added bonus was that the apartment was owned by the ideal hosts Michael and Pirrko -who live nearby and leave you to your own devices-but are always on hand to offer friendly advice if you need it. We also made friends with the people staying in the nearby Old Stables and had a couple of really enjoyable nights sharing barbecues. We wanted a holiday where we could relax and wind down - we found the ideal location at Finca Arboleda! ? Stayed August 2013, travelled as a couple

We, Mick and Pirkko have lived here since January 2004. Pirkko is Swedish and Mick English, we met in Stockholm in 1996. We moved to the UK in 2002 and after a few months decided we wanted to make a complete lifestyle change with a bit of sunshine as an added bonus. Spain was the choice, we looked at areas from the Costa Blanca all the way to the Portuguese border but kept coming back to the Costa Almeria area and Vera in particular which was more rustic and less developed than the other Costas.

Why they chose this property

We had spent 18 months looking for a home that we could use as a holiday let and just when we started to think it wasn't going to happen we found Finca Arboleda. It was a beautiful sunny November day, a cloudless sky, the Mediterranean deep blue in the distance and trees loaded with Oranges, Pomegranates and Olives, after 9 months of hard work we were ready to go but have been making improvements ever since. We are sure you will enjoy staying here as much as we love to live here.

What makes this property unique

Finca Arboleda is an Oasis in this the sunniest part of Spain it is big enough to find a quiet corner or you may prefer having a chat with us or the people who may be staying in the two bedroom Old Stables that is also available for holiday lets. The fantastic pool is very popular with all guests.
