Helyg Bach chalet nestled on the tip of the beautiful Llyn Peninsula
Helyg Bach is a modern chalet in secluded rural coastal countryside, conveniently located only 5 minutes from the famous "whistling sands" Porthor beach and a few minutes further to the picturesque village of Aberdaron with plenty of local amenities shops, bars, restaurants and cafes and a wonderful blue flag beach. after a hard day exploring the local area you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the private garden area with raised decking and BBQ for alfresco dining whist taking in the rural views.
The Llŷn Peninsula (Welsh: Penrhyn Llŷn or Pen Llŷn, Welsh pronunciation: [ɬɨːn]) extends 30 miles (50 km) into the Irish Sea from north west Wales, south west of the Isle of Anglesey. It is part of the modern county and historic region of Gwynedd. Much of the eastern part of the peninsula, around Criccieth, may be regarded as part of Eifionydd rather than Llŷn, although the boundary is somewhat vague. The area of Llŷn is about 400 km2 (150 sq miles), and its population is at least 20,000.
Historically, the peninsula was travelled by pilgrims en route to Bardsey Island (Welsh: Ynys Enlli), and its relative isolation has helped to conserve the Welsh language and culture, for which the locality is now famous. This perceived remoteness from urban life has lent the area an unspoilt image which has made Llŷn a popular destination for both tourists and holiday home owners.

The property is a static caravan that is situated in its own plot, it is so peaceful and an ideal location to get away from it all. Communication with the owners was easy and a basket of provisions left for us on arrival. The caravan and beds were comfortable and good access to local beaches. Abersoch is a short drive away.
We enjoyed a week in this lovely chalet. Andrew the owner was extremely helpful and friendly and helped with my requests about washing bedding in non-bio because of my allergies. We loved how safe it was for the children with it having fence and gate and little garden. The Chalet was very clean and homely and the kids love the karaoke and games! The added body boards and beach games were brilliant and it was great to turn up to a lovely welcome basket!
We can’t wait to return again one day!
