Situated on the edge of the cliffs of Cape Koutoulas, while overlooking an amazing sea view, villa Calypso is the ideal destination for those who look forward to an exclusive, tranquil holiday experience. Combining the breathtaking natural Cretan beauty and the contemporary luxurious design, villa Calypso promises relaxing and private holidays in an idyllic setting. Stone, glass, wood and water work together composing a welcoming, soothing atmosphere which allows guests to unwind themselves and enjoy nature away from the busy areas of the island.

Interior
The residence covers an area of 165 square meters and can accommodate up to 8 people. The comfortable living room with its wide patio doors offers a superb view to the pool and the sea. In the background, lays the fully equipped kitchen and the dining area with a comparably exquisite view of the villa's exterior surroundings. The villa features three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The first of the three bedrooms, located on the ground floor, is a mini suite with en suite bathroom including a Jacuzzi tub and opens up to the front deck to offer an endless view of the blue sea. The second bedroom is a spacious duplex with a smart layout, where the upper floor can serve either as a lounge or a children's' room. The third room, the highlight of the villa's interior, is an elevated, 'floating' master bedroom –with ensuite bathroom- that opens up to a wonderful private veranda with a sea view.

Exterior
The exterior of the villa is equally impressive to the interior, with the main building being surrounded by a 16-meter pool and an unobstructed view to the sea. The wooden deck balcony that stands over the cliff creates the ideal scenery to enjoy the sun on the comfy sunbeds, and eat and live in the open. Highlight of the villa constitutes the outdoor Jacuzzi spa, carefully placed in a position that ensures the complete seclusion and privacy that allows to the residents to enjoy their spa under the starlight and stay unnoticed even from the rest residents of the villa!

Please be aware that a 15€ per night Climate Resilience Tax is applied to all reservations from 1st of March to 30th of October.

We had a blast at villa Nautilus

We spend 7 days at the villa Nautilus and really had a blast. The villa is absolutely beautiful, near the sea, quiet and in a perfect shape. For us it was up to now the most wonderful villa we have been to. We can totally recommend this villa.

Relaxing, tranquil getaway

Villa Calypso is a spacious, stylish, (but comfortable) villa, which is well-equipped and has beautiful sea views. It is the ideal place to stay for those looking for a peaceful haven. The villa was clean and well-maintained and we received excellent customer service from Filippa, who did everything to ensure we had the best holiday possible. Yoga sessions by the sea were complimentary and snorkelling was great fun. The nearby Gialites Tavern served delicious food and delivered to the villa too. The octopus in honey is also well-worth a try at the Sunset Tavern in Sfinari. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!

Back to nature

Secluded, perfectly integrated in the stunning landscape, Villa Calypso became our private paradise for a week this year. We only regret we didn't book one more week, but otherwise, we loved every single moment. The villa has kept all its promises:,it was, indeed, a home away from home, perfectly furnished and fully equipped to meet our needs. I really appreciated the space and the arrangements (each of the three bedrooms had their own baths, which turned out to be an excellent idea since we travelled this year with friends). Most of the days, we (unwillingly) left the villa early in the morning to explore the island's magnificent beaches and taste the local cuisine in some picturesque eaterie. However, our last day on the island we chose to stay in. We ordered food from a nearby tavern that would deliver its delicious local specialties at our door, and we enjoyed the comfort, the view and the jacuzzi trying to overcome the melancoly of the thought that our vacation was almost over. Overall, the tranquility of the landscape, the serenity of the view, the comfort of a posh daybed facing the sea and the little joys that Villa Calypso offered us has been a journey itself. My advice? Go with people you love, take a good book with you, rent a car, keep it simple and give yourself some time to relax in this unique realm of nature. It will be a memorable experience. I often dream of the day I will be back. Someday. Soon I hope.

Paradisiaque

Tout d'abord, cet endroit est magnifique. Félicitation à celui qui a trouvé l'endroit. Félicitation à l'architecte qui a pensé cette villa et l'a si bien intégrée dans le paysage. Pour les gens qui comme nous recherchent la tranquillité, et l'isolement, l'endroit était parfait. En pleine nature au milieu de nulle part... c'était pour nous fantastique. Le paysage autour de la villa est magnifique : on a vraiment l'impression d'être seul au monde. La nature est sauvage et pourtant si apaisante. Nous nous sommes laissés bercer par le bruit des vagues... le bruit du vent... l'odeur de la mer... Nous nous sommes détendus, reposés, et avons largement profité de l'endroit... La villa est très bien équipée (merci encore pour le micro-ondes), très agréable à vivre et extrêmement bien conçue : trois chambres avec chacune une salle de bain, l'intimité de chacun est préservée... en cas de besoins. Les terrasses et pontons sont très joliment meublés et offrent vraiment l'illusion d'être sur l'eau comme sur le pont d'un bateau. La piscine est très agréable et elle parfait encore l'image de la villa. Nous voyageons à travers le monde depuis bien longtemps. C'est la première fois que nous pensons revenir au même endroit une deuxième fois... La villa Calypso est un véritable paradis terrestre... A une douzaine de kilomètres, la magnifique plage d'Elafonisi... féérique... une des plus belles plages que nous ayons vue... Nous y allions tous les deux jours et ramenions notre pain frais et ce qui nous manquait... c'est le seul inconvénient lorsqu'on est isolé... il faut prendre la voiture pour faire deux trois emplettes... ceci dit, les propriétaires vous proposent de fournir l'essentiel pour votre arrivée... mais bon... sur le chemin entre l'aéroport et la villa il y a assez d'endroit pour faire ses courses avant l'arrivée sur place... A ce sujet, nous voudrions remercier une fois encore Gregory qui nous a bien aidé pour tout... surtout lorsque nous avons crevé un pneu de notre voiture... il a visiblement des solutions à tous les problèmes... Jamais très loin mais jamais envahissant, c'est un personnage discret et indispensable. Nous conseillons aux voyageurs qui louent une voiture de privilégier les 4 x 4... En effet, la partie du chemin non goudronnée n'est pas facile avec une voiture normale... Pour le reste, ça n'a été que du bonheur... Allez-y...

Traumurlaub in the middle of nowhere

Wir haben eine trauhafte Woche in der Villa Calypso verbracht. Die Wirklichkeit war fast noch besser als die Bilder im Internet. Sowohl die Inneneinrichtung als auch der Pool sind in einem wirklich guten Zustand. Einzig und allein der Grill ist nicht wirklich einladend. Aber das war nicht schlimm, denn wir hatten ja Iannis....Mit seinem köstlichen "traditional, home- made food" hat er uns eine Woche lang herrlich verwöhnt. Die Villa liegt sehr einsam und die nächste größere Stadt ist ca 1 Std Autofahrt entfernt. Aber wer diese Einsamkeit mag, wir die Villa und die Gegend lieben! Wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen

Villa Calypso nur zu empfehlen

wir waren im Juni in der Villa Calypso und waren sehr zufrieden. Das Haus ist toll, die Lage ist etwas abgelegen, da wir aber zu sechst waren, war uns das egal. Die Taverne in der Nähe ist auch nur zu empfehlen, das Essen war super der Preis unschlagbar. Die Menschen auf kreta sind alle sehr nett und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir werden ganz bestimmt wieder kommen!!
