No. 4 Gibbs Glade is a uniquely designed spacious and modern 4 bedroom detached single storey villa with pool set in a beautiful enclosed tropical garden and benefiting from the gentle trade winds. With a large open plan living space leading onto the deck this property offers the ultimate indoor / outdoor living experience. Ideally located on the West Coast of the Island between Holetown and Speightstown in the quiet residential neighbourhood of Gibbs Glade with the famous Mullins Beach and the quieter Gibbs Beach both only a short walk away.

The house is furnished to an exceptional standard and comes fully equipped with everything you will need for a perfect stay. With ceiling fans in all rooms, AC in the bedrooms, fast broadband, TV with Netflix, SONOS sound system with integrated ceiling speakers in the Great Room, USB charging points throughout and mosquito blinds on all windows.

The open plan Great Room features various seating and dining areas with the large kitchen space offering an electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and wine fridge. The large bi-fold patio doors open the room out onto the deck and pool leading onto the gazebo with seating or to the sun deck with loungers. There is a gas barbecue and outdoor shower.

The Master Bedroom with King size bed has bi-fold doors opening out onto a garden terrace and has a walk in closet with double vanity leading onto the en-suite with shower.

Bedroom 2 has a King Size bed and also has bi-fold doors opening onto the garden, with built in wardrobes and en-suite with shower.

Bedrooms 3 and 4 can both be made up with either twin or double beds and so provide flexible options for families, both have built in wardrobes. These bedrooms share the large main bathroom with shower.

Housekeeping is provided by Stacia 6 days a week with linen, bath and beach towels changed regularly.

This property offers an ideal option for families or friends, whether you are looking for a relaxing break just chilling by the pool or a base to explore Barbados. There are bus stops nearby which will get you to Speightstown going North (nearest town and supermarket) or South as far as Bridgetown. A car is not essential but easier if you want to get farther afield.

This was our second holiday at No.4. Perfect villa in the perfect location for us. The house and gardens are so spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. Short walk to beautiful beaches and great places to eat. You couldn't ask for anything more. Stacia looked after us very well and it was great to be back. The communication with the host was great, the house is as describe and looks like the pictures. The only downside is no AC in living area which could get hot sometimes. The big fan does helped a lot.

‘Barbados or Bust’

An adult family holiday for myself my fabulous wife, Sandra, our children and their beautiful partners to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday. A great villa a stones throw from some of the best beaches, bars and restaurants. Such a great villa to explore this great island . Great house in a great location

This is a great house with a great layout in a very convenient location. We had a group of 8 with multiple branches of family and the common room leading out to the pool was ideal. This location is very convenient to multiple beaches and lots of fun things to do along Barbados’ western coast. The owner was responsive to questions I had before our trip (grocery stores, etc.).

Thank you for your suggestions - we provide a welcome pack for our guests that includes Banks beer, coffee, tea, bread, bacon, orange juice etc. The tap water in Barbados is perfectly safe to drink and is dispensed chilled from the refrigerator which is why we don't provide bottled water. All the bathrooms have hand soap but experience shows that our guests generally prefer their own brands of shampoos.

Spacious property with beautiful pool

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was spacious with enough room for everyone to spread out. The pool was lovely and kitchen was well stocked. It was a bit off the beaten path, though the beach is just a short walk away (5 mins). We had a minor issue with the washing machine, which Stacia resolved within 24 hours. Overall, we would recommend this property.

Everything as advertised. Great location minutes from the beach and the ever popular Sea Shed(make reservations well in advance). The millennials in our group spent a lot of time there- fantastic ambience and even better sun sets. Terrific beach for toddlers 10 minutes drive away in Holetown at Folkstone Marine park. Stacia, the property manager, very good source of information.

Beautiful family villa

4 Gibbs Glade is a beautifully designed and elegant home. It's layout and pool area are excellent for families with children. It's location is close enough to the beach and main roads and yet the property is hidden away and very private. We had a fantastic holiday and the villa was a very large part of that. Heather was so helpful during the booking process and with the changes in dates and restrictions we needed to make due to covid she was so accommodating and responsive.

Fantastic property in a great location

The property description says it all - "Stunning West Coast villa minutes from Mullins Beach". The villa was amazing. Everything we expected from the photos and more. Location is fantastic. Just a very short walk to Mullins beach and the Sea Shed (highly recommended!). Housekeeper was great. Comfortable beds. And Heather, the owner, was only a text message away. Nothing to fault at all.

Relaxing in paradise

We spent 3 weeks at Heather’s beautiful home during the holidays. It was perfect we had our family holiday there. Heather’s place is absolutely amazing the pictures are more then accurate. The place is very private and quiet was very relaxing. We all had enough space to ourselves. It is very close to both Mullins and Gibbs Beach. We spent a lot of time at Gibbs as it is more quiet and we enjoyed our walks and swims. I would highly recommend staying at No. 4 Gibbs. We will definitely be back again. Thank you Heather.

Family holiday Easter 2025

We had a fantastic stay at No4 Gibbes Glade. Family of 6, parents and 4 children 14-23 years. A 35 minute transfer from the airport and we were met by Stacia who provided all the necessary property information and was on call for any issues. The house is located a 2 minute stroll to Mullins Beach which has a cool beach bar and beach beds for hire (20 BBD). Beautiful beach with clear water. We also visited Gibbs beach which has no facilities but is paradise! We loved the villa, spacious, clean and a great pool area. We had a driver each evening to visit the various restaurants on the island and loved Sea Shed (over the road), Fish Pot, QP, Lonestar and Tides. Took a trip to see the turtles with Silver Moon who were fantastic, highly recommend. Hope to head back to Barbados and would definitely stay at the villa again.

Wonderful holiday

Our holiday at No4 Gibbs Glade was perfect in all respects. The villa is stunning, the indoor and outdoor space exactly as depicted in the photos. It is perfectly located for both Mullins and Gibbs beach and the outside space exactly what we needed for chilling out in the evening. Thank you Stacia for looking after us and making sure we had everything we needed, She is wonderful, and is always there to help with any questions or suggestions but also goes about what she needs to do without you feeling someone else is in the house. The holiday was just what we needed a perfect haven to enjoy the island. We would love to book No 4 again in the future as it was perfect for our needs.

After Pandemic Family Vacation

First let me say that the pictures on the site can never do any justice to being in the house in person. No. 4 is private, spacious and has everything you need for a wonderful family vacation! The house is absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention you are a short walk from the beach. Stacia, the housekeeper, was outstanding too? She will assist you with all your questions, concerns and where or what to do on the island. My family and I will definitely return! Thank you!

A Gem in an amazing country

Our group of eight adults had a fantastic time in this gorgeous house. It was exactly as advertised (although the pool was even better in real life!) The kitchen was well appointed, and the bedrooms were nice and cool at night. The living spaces are lovely and we especially enjoyed the outdoor gazebo - so necessary in such a beautifully hot climate. The location was good - it's an easy walk to Mullins beach (that's where we spent most of our beach time) which in my opinion is one of the nicest beaches I've ever been to in terms of amenities (Adrian's) and vibe (quiet but good people watching). We found plenty of fun things to do and great places to eat. Thank you Heather and Steve!

We have been running our own business in the UK for the past 15 years; on a trip to Barbados in 2013 we were so taken by the Island and its people that we bought a plot of land less than 100 yards from where we were staying and just off the platinum coast, only a few hundred yards from the famous Mullins Beach. In 2014 we engaged local architect Jeremy Gunn of Gillespie & Steel who designed a stunning contemporary villa with a focus on outdoor living. The build completed in 2016 and we now visit the Island as often as we can. Steve & Heather

Why they chose this property

The property was designed to maximise indoor / outdoor living; set in Gibbs Glade close to the platinum coast it has been designed to take maximum advantage of the gentle trade winds that come down the valley. Its open plan design, with high cantilevered ceilings and spacious rooms optimise the cooling effects of the gentle breeze. The flying roof extending over the main pool terrace and pool provides shade at the peak of the day, while the Great Room (approximately 1000 square feet) with patio doors which open the full width of the room has more than fulfilled the design expectations of inside outside living. If the gentle breeze fails then the Great Room is cooled by a large feature 'Big Ass' fan.

What makes this property unique

The interior has been tastefully designed by local Interior Designers Archers Hall and complements and enhances the stunning architectural design. The private gardens, designed and created by Nature Care, combine the rich colours of the local fauna and flora with all the benefits of a tropical garden. Lighting brings out the best of the gardens after dark. A bespoke, contemporary Gazebo set alongside the pool provides a wonderful venue to enjoy the warm tropical evenings or relax from the sun during the heat of the day.
