Great cabin close to the main street in Cloudcroft. Host is very thoughtful, left us a wonderful pie from the local bakery as a welcome gift. We look forward to our next stay!
This cabin was a great place to unwind for a few days. Great access to town, and easy access to the cabin. We enjoyed the stay in the mountains. It was quaint and cozy but had all the necessary conmveniences.
This was our third stay in Stacy’s cabin and we had another wonderful time! Our 91 year old mother loves the wrap around patio and porch swing. It’s a quick walk into town or up to the Lodge. Stacy is a great host, and always has a delicious pie waiting for us upon check in. This is a perfect place to stay in beautiful Cloudcroft!
Lovely little place. Quiet. Conveniently located. Kitchen and cleaning supplies were ample. Note the bedroom with twin beds is accessed only through the main bedroom. Would love to be there again.
This cabin is older but cozy and comfortable. Long hours of porch setting and access to town is great. Wonderful water pressure, feels like old comfortable home. Pet friendly while watching the deer pass by. Stacy is great to communicate with.
This was our second time staying at El Matador, and we had a great time again. Our host, Stacy was very nice and accommodating. The place is very clean and the heating system works well for our 91 yr old mother! We loved the complimentary pie left for us at check-in.Two minor suggestions: provide a pie server and a set of measuring cups in the utensil drawer. We highly recommend the place!
Our family really enjoyed our stay. Great location within walking distance of the shops and restaurants on Burro Ave. Stacy kindly left us a pie for our arrival that was delicious! We will definitely stay here again.
What an amazing Christmas stay here! It was so cozy, relaxing and Stacy is such a GREAT host! Very accommodating to ensure we had an excellent stay. Upon arrival we walked into the place with a pie from a local bakery in Cloudcroft! We will absolutely be back and 100% recommend.
We were very happy with the cabin. Well stocked with all needs and very easy to find. Convenient location right across the street from many places to eat and browse for souvenirs. Check-in was smooth and the host even left us a best peach pie that I have ever eaten. My children and family loved it, we played board games late into the night. If I am ever in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate booking this place another time. Thank you so much for helping our family experience the area.
