Fishermen's house in the port of Fornells (Aiguablava).

Fisherman's house completely renovated located in the fishing district of Fornells. The small harbor, the beaches, the houses that surround it and its natural surroundings of great beauty, make this place ideal for an authentic vacation of peace and tranquility on the Costa Brava. It was in this small town where the Costa Brava was christened with this name, in a dinner of scholars of the early twentieth century.

The house is located 20 meters from the sea, 1 minute from Cala n'Estasia, 5 minutes from the beautiful Playa Fonda and 15 minutes from Aiguablava beach by roundabout (3 minutes by car). The village of Begur, one of the most characteristic and authentic of the Costa Brava is only 4km. The village has all the services of restaurants, banks and supermarkets, as well as being one of the most touristic of the Costa Brava.

The house is distributed on three levels, all with exterior windows. It has two bedrooms. The upstairs bedroom has a double bed, a bathroom with shower and a terrace overlooking the sea. The lower floor room has a double bed, a single bed, washing machine and bathroom with shower. In the middle floor there is access to the house, a small kitchen, a dining room with fireplace, TV and a sofa bed for two people. The fully equipped kitchen includes microwave, ceramic hob, oven, toaster and coffee maker. The rent includes bed linen and towels.

Gorgeous location

The property is best accessed by car however you’ll need to walk down hill with your luggage to reach the apartment. Once you’re there and settled you’ll have walking access to multiple gorgeous beaches & hikes, which are amazing! We loved it. The apartment is functional, but on the small side. For two couples who travel together often it was fine for a couple nights, best set up for a family. The two bathrooms were appreciated. The host was super welcoming & very easy to reach.

La location est très charmante, bien équipée et extrêmement bien située dans une voie en impasse qui permet d'accéder directement à une splendide côte rocheuse aux eaux turquoises en moins d'une minute... la côte à 50 mètres de la maison se situe à 500 mètres à vol d'oiseau de l'Aqua blava. C'est assez magique car le chemin qui mène à la mer est piéton, donc aucun souci lorsqu'on a des enfants ou animaux. Il y a peu de monde sur la côte rocheuse car seuls les résidents peuvent stationner sur des places réservés. Il y a, sans surprise, un peu plus de monde sur les plages. Location les pieds dans l'eau et avec beaucoup de charme, maison tellement belle que les passants se photographient devant !

Fantastic, charming fisherman's cottage

This is a lovely and charming cottage in the heart of the charming Fornells port area. It was the owner's own house, and he is clearly very proud of it, and of the area. He was superbly helpful, showed us all of the best places to see and visit. The house is cosy, with two good-sized bedrooms over three floors. It is very well equipped, clean and nicely decorated. The terraced area is off the top floor, off the main bedroom, and is a great place to finish the day. Fornells itself is very pretty, with plenty of idyllic and safe bathing spots in small bays and off rocks. It is a short coastal walk from Aguablava bay, where there are a couple of charming restaurants. This is the only downside to Fornells itself - other than the hotel, there is not a single restaurant, or even a place to buy food, a drink or a newspaper. Great for peace and quiet if a little impractical.

Fantastic location close to the sea. Walking distance to beautiful beaches and calas. Cosy small house. Small but big enough for a family of 5. Xavi is a very nice host who took very good care of us during our stay. Highly recommended!
