Moult Sylvan, Stunning Shabby-Chic Holiday Home - Stunning Sea Views

Stunning three and a half bedroom, two bathroom home with great south facing views of the Salcombe estuary, ocean and National Trust woodland. Access the beach easily down a well maintained and pretty public footpath.

Located on a quiet culdersac away from the congestion of the central town but easily accessible - a 0.8 mile walk along the estuary Cliff Rd, or by the South Sands Ferry from South Sands beach. It is very close to the Bolt head costal path as well as numerous farmland walking paths to the rear of Moult Hill. Salcombe is one of Devon's premier coastal towns.

The bookings run Saturday to Saturday in High Season. At other times Friday to Monday Weekender, and Monday to Friday Midweek stays are also available. It may be possible to arrange other combinations by request.

2 well behaved dogs allowed.

Comfortable house

We enjoyed our stay at Moult Sylvan. The view from the property is superb and the weather was kind enough to allow us to sit out on the excellent balcony. The kitchen and bathrooms are a little dated, but well equipped. The upstairs bathroom hot water was a bit dodgy. You had to run the bath in order to get hot water out of the basin tap. But the property manager was extremely helpful and left us his mobile number in case we needed anything over the weekend. The spiral staircase is fairly narrow and difficult to take up anything apart from a small to medium sized suitcase. Beds were very comfortable and the sitting room was a lovey room to relax in.

A perfect house and location

This property was perfect for our purposes, grandparents plus sons and families (including a 2 year old and a dog). Lovely patio for evening BBQs overlooking the water, and easy stroll down the hill to the beach. Property owner was very helpful in the build up to the holiday, answering our questions. The property describes itself as shabby chic, which I suppose is fairly accurate, but it does enable you to very quickly relax into holiday mode and make the most of it. It's definitely on our shortlist to book again!

Great place, location and owners! Last min booking for us (family of 5).. property gave a feeling of luxury blended with the feel of the sea. All the technology mod cons. for all the family... very clean!!! And a terrace BBQ and Braai that is the best entertaining place!!!

This home was absolutely lovely, everything was better than the photos and description. We were 7 people and there was plenty of space for all of us. The position was slightly out of town and involved some big hills on the walk to beach/ town but it was so beautiful you hardly noticed The house is very well appointed, great quality bedding and towels, plenty of everything you could possibly need. The interior was clearly done by someone with great taste as everything was very stylish. The best bit was the terrace and those views across the water...unbeatable. Thank you so much we would book again in a heartbeat.
