SEA GLASS OCEANFRONT COTTAGE.

Sea Glass is a charming oceanfront beach cottage located at the end of a quiet cul de sac in South Nags Head . . . and the Atlantic Ocean is literally your backyard. The beach starts at the bottom of the stairs :-) Enjoy outside living on the large oceanfront covered porch with a tall table + 4 tall chairs, plus a picnic table. Grab a good book and a glass of wine and enjoy the salty air and shimmering ocean at sunset . . . my favorite time of day :-) Or perhaps a nap in the double sized hammock below is more your speed? Sea Glass cottage features a large open living area with bamboo flooring, lots of natural light, and lovely ocean views. The well equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances, fridge with ice maker and filtered water on door, and an island bar overlooking the adjoining dining and living rooms. Sea Glass accommodates 6 people (4 adults & 2 kids). There is an oceanfront queen, an oceanfront twin bunk room, and a king bedroom with it's own half bath. The shared full bath features a shower with tub should you need one for the kids . . . but trust me, you'll be taking all your showers in the large private, enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water.

Enjoy spectacular shelling, surf fishing, sun bathing, surfing, swimming, kayaking . . . and so much more. Or just stay put and enjoy the peace and quiet, and the sound of the ocean. Your family will remember the memories you make at Sea Glass for generations!

* Please note you must be at least 27 years old to rent this cottage.

* Cottage accommodates up to 4 adults and 2 children.

*Linens are not included, therefore you will need to bring sheets and pillow cases (1 king, 1 queen, and 2 single bunkbeds). All of the beds have quilts and pillows. You will also need to bring bath, hand, wash, dish and beach towels. HOWEVER, if you do not wish to bring your own there are several companies that rent linens and will deliver and pick them up directly to and from the cottage which we can refer you to.

* This is a NON-SMOKING cottage.

* Up to 2 pets are considered. Must be fully house trained. No puppies under a year. Please provide breed, sex and age when requesting to book.

Everything was smooth sailing from start to finish! Everything worked, and beach access was fantastic with 3 small children and a goldendoodle in tow. We’ve stayed here and the Kitty Hawk property 4 years ago, and both did not disappoint!!

Beautiful house , right by the ocean. Very quiet neighborhood. It was perfect for us. We enjoyed the Wright Brothers monument but otherwise we just chilled in the house.

Sea Glass Cottage Great Time

We stayed for a week and had a fantastic time. House was clean and had beautiful views of the ocean. Access to the beach is right off the driveway which was really convenient. We loved this house and will definitely be staying here again!

We loved staying at the Seaglass!

Loved that the house is directly on the beach. The house was very clean, in a quiet area of Nags Head and furnished nicely. The kitchen had everything we needed and we used the outdoor shower daily before coming into the house. We would highly recommend this oceanfront house.

Sea Glass Oceanfront Cottage

Location is amazing and the main reason we booked! The oceanfront location of this cottage was absolutely wonderful My husband and I enjoyed the pretty sand dunes & partial ocean views directly in front of the cottage during the day & evenings when we weren't down on the beach. Kim Milby, cottage co-owner, was accommodating, interactive and very responsive to all of our communications. She is absolutely delightful A chilled bottle of wine & welcoming note in the fridge were a lovely touch too.Parts of the cottage have been renovated, while other areas like the kitchen & it's equipment are dated & worn. Beach access is a challenge for anyone with mobility issues; the dune pathway to the beach is a short, but steep climb; the downward path to the beach is even more steep. There is no boardwalk, handrail or dune protecting materials to walk on when accessing the beach. On-site washer/dryer as very convenient too.We would definitely book Sea Glass Cottage again.

A perfect week!

Sea Glass Cottage is what the Irish call a "thin place" meaning that the line between heaven and earth barely exists. To wake up in the morning to the sound of the ocean, and if early enough, the sunrise, is the perfect start to the day. Sea Glass is a wonderful place for a family to gather but it is also a great choice for a romantic get-away; we've done both. After five stays there, we don't even think for a second that there is anyplace else we'd rather go on the OBX.

Spring break in Nags Head

Location location location. Super easy to access the main roads to all the sites and restaurants, and steps from the beach. Private drive keeps the area pretty quiet when enjoying the ocean and sun. Home was comfy and perfect size for my wife and I along with our dog. Stunning views of the ocean, only possible drawback to some is it is a steep climb up over the dune to the beach. But you can walk to the next street to find a more level access. We would return for sure!

Another Great Week!

We have stayed at one of Kim and Mark's properties for several years now. This was the first time we stayed at their Nags Head house. We knew that we would get the same great treatment that we normally do. We were so happy with the location of this house. It is everything they say it is. The neighborhood was quiet and the house is literally on the dunes which makes beach access very quick and easy. The house itself was clean and comfortable for us. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

OBX Getaway

My husband and I had a lovely week at Sea Glass Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the covered deck which was fabulous. The location is close enough to sites/grocery/fish market, etc. but also just far enough away to truly relax. The dune to the beach gave my calves a workout (ha!!) but great to be at the surfs edge in 2 minutes. The hosts were very responsive and followed-up with us on arrival and before we departed. We enjoyed the gift they left in the frig. with a thoughtful welcome note. And, cannot fail to mention that we were able to bring our dog (which was a must for us) and it was a lot of fun watching her play in the surf and take long morning and evening walks. All in all, a great week in a very comfortable home!

Lots of fun! No disappointments.

What I'd like to tell you is that our time was terrible, the house was horrible, and that all communication with Kim were the worst, but I can't. Hoping to get my choice of weeks for next year! You can't blame me for trying! This is an adorable cottage, well equipped and clean, in an absolutely perfect spot on the beach. Kim was wonderful to work with and was very helpful when a storm came in just before we were due to arrive and with communication regarding our stay. It was horrible, terrible, save your money. But that's not at all how our week at Sea Glass was. It was full of happiness and great memories. We'll be back.

The Perfect Getaway

We LOVED staying at the Sea Glass cottage - LIFE IS GOOD OCEANFRONT - it was everything as promised and more. Walking down the steps and stepping onto the beach is just an amazing benefit! And the dolphins!! So many dolphins swimming just a few hundred feet out from the shoreline! We took advantage of the optional linen service, and it was worth every penny! There were plenty of towels for everyone. The cottage was perfect size for the four of us but would have been just as comfortable with 2 more adults too. Everything was very clean and in great shape! The views are amazing. The neighborhood is tucked away and quiet, and the house is clean and has a trendy vibe to it. I would highly recommend this as a home away from home - I hope we make it down to OBX again and will definitely look to come back to Sea Glass! The owners are very responsive and attentive to the needs of renters!

This was our second year staying at Sea Glass cottage. It has become our favorite vacation house. We are a family of four so it is perfect for me, my husband, and our two daughters. We love its cozy feel, proximity to the beach, and quiet lane. Kim is super responsive and attentive to your family’s stay and needs. Highly recommend! We will return for year three in 2026!

The house was very clean and we had a nice welcome card and bottle of wine waiting in the fridge. The only thing I thought was misleading was the picture of the house and the caption that says “spectacular ocean views”. There is no clear view of the ocean from the house because of the dunes. Other than that we had a lovely stay.

SEA GLASS COTTAGE Great Vacation!

It was a great week for my husband and I, and what made it especially wonderful was taking our 15 yr old granddaughter along! The Sea Glass Cottage had everything we needed and it was right on the beach!! We had so much fun. Lots to do, great shopping places, amazing restaurants and the owners were local and continued to reach out to see if we needed anything. Loved it! Would stay again!

We have lived on the Outer Banks for 20 years. My grandfather built a cottage on the outer banks in the 1950's and we have been coming here all our lives. We love it here and wanted to have a cottage for our family and friends to enjoy when it is not rented. We are in Real Estate and architectural design and loved bringing this cottage back to life when we bought it. We hope you will love it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Location, Location, Location! It has such incredible views and is literally steps from the ocean. And it is not so big that you have to bring 20 of your closest friends to afford it. A traditional, delightful oceanfront Nags Head cottage perfect for 2 couples and their kids.

What makes this property unique

We are a short bike ride from Bodie Island Lighthouse and the Outer Banks Fishing Pier, which features Fish Heads Bar & Grill (a local fav!). If you are a surfer we have 2 great breaks just north and south of us. Or enjoy hunting for sea glass and the perfect conch shell to take home as a souvenir. South Nags Head is away from the neon lights . . . but still close enough to all Outer Banks attractions, restaurants and shopping. The area is loved for being what the rest of Nags Head "used" to be like . . .
