The location of this property really can’t be beat. It’s a great home base to explore the city on food but it’s also easy to catch a ride share or public transit to go further afield. The property was immaculate and beautifully decorated and the air conditioning was very much appreciated during some unseasonable warm weather. Communication with the host was great - they were very responsive and helpful and check-in/out instructions were easy and clear.

We spent 6 days in this property in the centre of Lisbon, it is close to all the main sights and convenient for tram, bus and ferry. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in central Lisbon.

Perfect location - loved our stay

Highly recommend this apartment. Location could not be better. There are a lot of stairs leading up to it and the bathrooms are very small but both worth it for an adorable, spacious, clean, well equipped rental. Communication/check in was first class. We loved it.

Wonderful place to stay!

Great location, accurate description of the property online. The manager was very responsive to my questions and accommodated an early check in and payment on site. Travelers from the US should expect the space not to be as large as they are accustomed to at home. But it has everything one needs to rest comfortably after a busy day exploring beautiful Lisbon.

The location was great and the apartment was what we needed. On the negative side, the steps up to the apartment are very steep, and the showers/bathrooms are incredibly tight, even for European standards. Nonetheless, this was a very good apartment and a good value. William, our check-in contact, was very helpful.

Perfect location

The apartment was in the perfect location. We were able to walk to almost all of the attractions. Restaurants and shopping were just around the corner. Also a short walk from the metro. Bruno was very friendly and welcoming. He met us at the door and arranged a tour for us. There were many stairs and the showers were small but the location and a well stocked apartment made up for that.

Beautiful Apartment

This apartment was beautiful and perfect for four adults to stay in. We used the third room to hold our suitcases as the second bedroom is quite small. Lots of stairs which was only really a problem when bringing in our luggage and again when leaving. The living area is roomy as shown in the pics. We did find the bathrooms very tiny and in need of some updates. The location is perfect. Great location in a great neighbourhood.

The unit itself is not so bad. Similar to what they advertise. The building very old, not great shape. The elevator didn't work the 1st day. We had to take over 200 pounds of luggage upstairs to the 6th floor and the second day my daughter and I got stuck in the elevator between floors and I had to try to private the doors open and get myself released off the elevator.

Great stay!

The hosts were incredibly communicative and helpful. The property is right in the heart of things and a terrific location! Some reviewers seemed to miss the note that there are five flights of stairs to climb to this unit. This is accurate and if you aren't comfortable with all those stairs this might not be the property for you. As other reviewers mentioned, the showers are small and may not be a great fit for everyone. That being said, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend!

A great find

We had a great 4 nights here. The location is perfect..it’s so central and convenient to everything. The house is in good condition and very charming. It’s a bustling neighborhood and the noise does filter up to the apartment, but if that bothers you, the windows are crazy soundproof and you hear nothing when they are closed. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the beds are pretty uncomfortable. You can feel the springs and they are really hard. However, the couches are super comfortable so that’s a plus!

Had to walk up 4 flights of stairs. Who needs it? Two of us are 75 years old. Giant steps up to both bathrooms, why? Keys were hard to open the doors. Website a lot nicer than actual place.

On the description its written : "...The entrance is done by one of, and still in rehabilitation buildings, such as the surrounding area. Excellent location, but dated and need work

The apartment is located in the bustling Baixa district, central to most of the primary attractions in Lisbon. My family of 5 was comfortable there, and it was very easy to walk around the city. However, the pictures in the VRBO listing show the apartment in much better condition than it is today. Paint is peeling, boards in the master bathroom are coming loose, and there are stains on the walls. Gem Apartments: It is time to invest a modest amount of $ to refresh this apartment and bring it up to the standards that your guests deserve. Only then will it be the "gem" that you advertise.
