Classic Cabin The Lodge on MW Chain

Enjoy life on Alder Lake in the heart of northern Wisconsin's lake country. Wake up at sunrise with hot coffee in the sunroom. The Lodge at Alderwood Resort is a fantastic place to escape from your busy life and simply, relax.

Lodge & Resort Details:
Just a few steps from your door is your private dock on a peninsula on Alder Lake, part of the Manitowish Chain of 10 Lake. Enjoy northern Wisconsin evenings around a campfire in Adirondack chairs, picnic table + charcoal grill included. Lodge includes use of rowboats, kayaks, canoes, paddles, firewood, playground, and horseshoe pit.

The Lodge has 4 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms and comfortable sleeps 8-10, including sleeper sofas. Kitchen has been well thought to offer all necessary appliances and cooking ware, along with an eat-in breakfast nook with large windows overlooking the yard. Large living area is at the center of the building with a large wood fireplace. Dining area is in the sunroom, with 180 degree windows for a beautiful view of Alder Lake. Bedrooms are cozy and comfortable with all linens provided. Bringing a child and need a pack n' play or high chair? We'll gladly provide them.
Note: Remember to bring your own bath and beach towels.

The cabin is within walking distance to a cranberry marsh and cranberry gift shop. Just a few miles from town, a quaint coffee shop is also within biking distance and a great start to the day! Aberdeen Restaurant is located nearby and offers a wonderful log cabin dining experience.

I was here for 12 days in May/June. The Lodge is very comfortable, especially with the many updates added. Everyone had a wonderful time. Weather was perfect all 12 days.

The Lodge is a beautiful place. It has the charm of an older cabin, but all the updates to make our stay very comfortable. The front porch is where we spend most of our inside time, especially in the morning after grabbing a cup of coffee to watch the sunrise and enjoy the watching the lake. The Lodge has a view of the lake from every window. On a cool day we often use the fireplace to feel extra cozy. My family/friends look forward to coming back every year. Thank you for this vacation and taking such good care of us. We so appreciate this special time.

We have spent a week in fall in the lodge for 15 years and it is always wonderful.

If I could design a house, I would start the planning by using the Lodge as a starting point. We spend each morning with coffee on the porch and each evening with a glass of wine on the porch before dinner. The view is magnificent. Thank you so very much for everything. It couldn't be better. You do a great job.

Just what you need on a vacation, being surrounded by natures beauty and quiet sounds of the lake.

Beautiful cabin inside with a great big fireplace with comfortable furniture set up for family and friends to spend good times together. Great kitchen, totally equipped. You can see the lake from every bedroom. So many sunny days, and even the rainy days are fun spent on the very large porch with a fabulous lake view. We have puzzles and play cards, read and work on quilting and sewing projects. At night the moon is in the sky and shinning on the water. We of course are also listening for the loons. And there is always the fresh smell of the north woods. I have been coming here with my family and friends for 35 years and of all the places I have been, this is still my favorite.

Beautiful lake view from every window, with cozy and comfortable cabin, fully equiped kitchen, back patio for grilling and relaxing.

Very up North. Lots of time spent on front porch. The kitchen is fully equipped, we ate in most of the time. I was here or 12 beautiful days. We did eat out a couple of times and the local restaurants are really nice. Aberdeen Lodge, Smokey's and Dixie's are our favorite. Shopping in Minoqua is always great. Ironwood MI also has great shopping, including my favorite, a really nice quilt shop - The Fabric Patch. Just a little farther North is Lake Superior. We always go out to this Great Lake when we come North to hike the falls and sit on the beach. My family has been coming to Alderwodd Resort for almost 40 years and it is just a beautiful place. The owners are so kind and welcoming and keep everything up really well. They really are a 5 star resort. Thank you.

The lodge was a great place to stay with extended family but ...

One thing lacking is providing bath towels and hand towels in the bathrooms. Even though you are told upfront the lack of towels seems cheap. We get providing your own beach towels but providing your own bath towels is a first for us. The fireplace was great and the firewood was provided. The view was amazing and we loved waking up to the sound of the loons each morning.

I personally enjoyed conversation with your family members while I was on the property throughout the week. We try our hardest to keep our property affordable and in turn, have chosen to continue to not provide towels.
