Amazing location - Immaculate Apartment

Just had a short break in Dukes Cabin in Padstow. The apartment was beautifully presented, well equipped and had everything I needed. Will most definitely be booking again.

The apartment is lovely, as long as there is nobody else staying in the house.

Such a shame. There is so much going for this place. The property has been refurbished to a high standard and is very tasteful, the location is perfect and the communication from the owner was spot on. However we soon realised there is a big issue with noise coming from the apartments above and below you but especially from above. Having read previous reviews before booking I thought, "it can't be that bad" and went ahead regardless. Sadly it was. The wooden flooring magnifies all sounds created from walking around. We could clearly hear their conversations. Our sleep was disturbed as a consequence on the Friday night when they came back later than us. It just made us very conscious that we were not having the same impact on those below us. Had we not purchased some ear plugs from Boots I think, like some others have done, we would have been heading home early. So sadly, for as long as this issue remains, I could not recommend it and I would not book again. As I said at the beginning, this is such a shame given how lovely the property is and the high standard of service delivered by the owner, Paula.

Dear Louise, Thank you for your feedback on our Duke House properties, we have been researching new acoustic and soundproofing for the last 6 months and I am absolutely delighted to inform you that after a weeks worth of building work and then the last few days of finalising. Duke House has completed its Soundproofing and acoustic refurbishment. Ensuring our guests have a peaceful and quiet stay with us and leave feeling, rested, relaxed and inspired.
