This 2 story, 2 bedroom, 1-1/2 bath home (sleeps 6) sits directly on the beautiful Weeki Wachee River(not canal) and is within walking distance to the local beach(Rogers Park),restaurant (Upperdeck)and marina. Just a few minutes from the house is Pine Island, another popular local beach, also hiking trails and many restaurants to choose from in 1 to 5 miles from the house.

If the river life is what you're seeking to experience, look no further, take a seat, relax and let the river wash away your cares. Great getaway
Beautiful location right on the river with amazing outdoor seating right on the water where you can take in passing manatees, fish, and wildlife on the other bank. We used kayaks and canoes daily and enjoyed the location immensely.Although house is small, spacious sunroom and primary 2nd floor bedroom also share those same views. (Photos don't do bedroom view justice) House extremely clean and well appointed and host was very helpful with local suggestions.

Family trip
This is the second time we have stayed at this house. The location is great. You can walk to the nearby restaurant (Upper Deck) as well as Roger’s Park. If you don’t want to leave you can hang out on the porch and watch the manatees go by! So much fun!

Great spot on River
We stayed two nights and within a few short hours of being there a manatee swam right up to the dock and was eating algae off of it. It was a very cool experience. The location on the river is great. The river is beautiful. The property has several kayaks for you to pick from. When we arrived it was hot upstairs, we let the owner know and within 30 minutes they arrived to install a new unit they had just bought. The upstairs is older, but was clean. The stairs are narrow and steep, but well lit and has a gate (if needed). If you’re looking for a great spot on the river and enjoy seeing manatee, this house is for you.

About the host

My love for the water has expanded my opportunity to offer this beautiful area to others. Once I had purchased this property I felt as if I had to share this magical place with others.

Why they chose this property

This property is one of the most ideal and sought out areas along the Weeki Wachee River. The river is crystal clear with a sandy bottom, kayaks and canoes for entertainment, plus the attraction of kayakers, canoers, and paddle boarders can be quite the entertainment in it's own. This property is located on a deadend street and in the middle of everything, to the left is Hospital Hole and 5.5 miles to the head of the river with plenty of places to get out and picnic or swim along the way or to the right only 3.5 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. Right up the road within walking distance is a restaurant which offers a wonderful way to have lunch overlooking the river, The natural elements from across the property of the ospreys, ducks, turtles, owls, and of course the manatees all add that excitement of animals in their natural surroundings.

What makes this property unique

Along with the stunning water and perfect location, it offers a fire pit for late night romance or family fun with s'mores. It's always a nice relaxing moment to stroll to the dock and sit back in the swing with cup of coffee and just watch the water flow, nature, or just the entertainment of the people and the river. The entire floor to ceiling glass living room offers a 180 degree view of the river (just 30 feet away)and also from the second story bedroom as well. A luxurious site to wake up to, pull back the curtains and see the beauty of it all.
