Address also 294 North Hillside Road for GPS

Corn hole, hiking, fishing, fire pit, pool table, all on the Farm. Area to hit golf balls at two tees. Brand new kitchen and baths.

Once you drive through the stone pillars at the gated entrance, you know you've arrived at a very special place. Set on over 55 acres of fields and woods with a hiking trail, this property is amazing. With two barns on the left and the main home at the end of the circular driveway, Thornhill Farm is truly one of a kind. The views across the fields with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance are spectacular. There is a trail to the top of the mountain, a pond to fish in and a porch to rock on.

AND there is a sports court for basketball, tennis and PICKLE BALL!!!!!

We host weddings, events and parties. Have a food truck and a pickle ball day.

You'll feel right at home when you see the rocking chairs on the front porch. The door leads into the main great room that has a stone fireplace reaching to the vaulted ceiling. There is a sitting area and pool table for gaming. A few steps up and you enter the living room paneled with original pine. The warmth in this room is inviting. For indoor dining you'll find a dining area with a table that can seat 8 - 12 comfortably. The kitchen cupboard is filled with English stoneware and linens for your use in serving and dining.

There is an en-suite master bedroom and a guest bedroom and bath on the first floor. Upstairs there is an en-suite bedroom and bath and an additional twin bedroom. These are both located down a small set of stairs. There are stairs without railings that might be difficult for small children and elderly guests, two steps to get onto the porch, one step into the house, four steps from the lower level to the main level in two places and two steps to the first floor bedrooms and a flight to the second floor bedrooms. The three bathrooms are completely new as of May 2022.
BRAND NEW KITCHEN

The home sleeps 8 comfortably but there is room for air mattresses. You'll find a country kitchen on the first floor with a microwave and Kurig coffee maker. Out of the front door and down three steps is a stone patio for cock-tailing and dining and watching the sunset over the mountains. Off of the great room is a wrap-around porch for dining or sitting in the rocking chairs. Here you'll enjoy the views of the farm across the fields to the pond and barns beyond.

Summer in Hendersonville
My favorite part was sitting in the swing underneath the Oak tree in the evening, watching the deer and being surrounded by lightning bugs. It’s beautiful and peaceful.

Great location!
We took our adult children and some friends for a long weekend and really enjoyed the whole trip! It was great being so close to town for shopping or eating lunch. And it was an easy drive up to Jump off Rock and also close to vineyards and breweries. We spent a lot of time outside by the bonfire and hitting golf balls or fishing in the pretty pond and then when it got too chilly it was really fun to play pool inside. We cooked supper every night and enjoyed all being able to sit around the large dining room table. We also had a large herd of deer visit us every morning! The newly renovated bathrooms are lovely and the beds were all comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. Holly was wonderful and responsive the whole weekend. Would definitely recommend this farmhouse stay!

Beautiful Setting
Dozens of deer and their babies came out early each morning and evening to graze on the pasture. Farm was old but comfortable. We had very cold weather and the heating was uneven. Even so, it was a very relaxing setting.

My brothers and I grew up in this house and on this farm. It is a lovely spot to enjoy the views, hike the mountain and take in the area. We often have family reunions at the farm and thought it would be wonderful to share the experience with other families. The property lends itself to events such as weddings, charity functions, large BBQs and candlelit porch dinners. Please reach out to talk about how you can make Thornhill Farm work for your next gathering. We have access to caterers and service providers to make your event special.
