The cottage features three upstairs bedrooms and a first floor sunroom with a queen bed. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has twin bed with a single trundle bed beneath it. There is also a queen size sleep sofa in the living room. All white linens are professionally laundered, including fresh duvets. The floors are all hard surface with beach vacation in mind. The bathrooms have marble and tile surfaces, and the large capacity washer and dryer make washing large loads of beach towels easy.

The kitchen is equipped with cookware, a Cuisinart food processor and Kitchen Aid stand mixer. There is an outdoor gas grill. The dining rooms many windows make it an inviting place to to eat, or if you prefer, dine outside on the deck, or under the pergola. The living room is comfortable and a great place to play the board games kept in the big armoire, that also serves as beach towel storage.

The outdoor spaces include an upper deck ideal for private sunbathing, a large lower deck perfect for cocktails and a patio with pergola for shade. The dock is a nice place to relax and take in the water view. There is an outdoor fireplace by the water that is great for making 'Smores for the kids. The yard is spacious and is planted with apple and pear trees, as well as blueberry bushes.

The best thing about the place is the easy access to Sandy Point and Napatree Beaches, accessible by boat just outside the cove. For nature lovers, Wequetequock Cove and Barn Island offer a wealth of bird species including Osprey and Herons. You will truly have a spectacular day on the water.

From mid-summer on, you can easily catch Blue Crabs right from the dock. Kids will enjoy catching snapper blues in the cove with light tackle. Serious fisherman will love the world class Striper, Fluke, Black Sea Bass and Blackfish fishing at famous spots like Watch Hill Reef, Sugar Reef and Fisher's Island that are just outside the cove.

When you've had your fill being on the water visit local attractions like the Mystic Seaport, the Mystic Aquarium, Foxwoods Resort and Casino, or Mohegan Sun. Stonington, Mystic, Westerly and Watch Hill have amazing restaurants and bars, boutique shops and art galleries to enjoy. Coming and going is easy with off street parking for three cars.

Fantastic & Charming
This property was absolutely lovely! We stayed off season and enjoyed the deck, fire pit, and dock. Beds are super comfortable, house was clean and kitchen was well stocked with everything we’d need for a seafood feast. Paul was responsive, friendly and helpful in every way.

Enjoyed our stay
We enjoyed our stay at the house but we thought the house was overpriced, but perhaps, due to the location on the water, the rental price was competitive for the area. The yard and waterfront is lovely, particularly the seating area and chiminea by the water. The decks are nice too, as is the annex with the ping pong and football. For the price, the bathrooms, particularly the downstairs one, need improvement in terms of how they look and cleanliness of the shower, particularly the tile grout. Good location but there is road noise as it is right on a highway.

About the host

I grew up spending summers on Wequetequock Cove. My brothers and I spent hours at the beach, sailing, canoeing, fishing and crabbing on the cove. After moving around the U.S and Europe for 20 years I wanted to give my kids the chance to connect with this very special place too, so I bought the cottage as a summer home. We have thoroughly enjoyed spending summers on the water.
