Our stay was fantastic. The flat was lovely and very comfortable. Has everything you could possibly want. The location is super convenient and easy to access public transportation. The host was very helpful. Don't hesitate to stay here!
This place is perfect. My family and I enjoyed our trip all the more for having this property as our base during our stay in London. Super quiet location with easy access to tube lines. The property is clean, stylish and plenty of space for a family of four. Highly recommend this property.
Nice apartment in a charming neighborhoodThe apartment is very centrally located yet far from the hustle and bustle of the capital. It is very well equipped; we lacked nothing during our stay – from umbrellas and tote bags to fresh flowers and fruit, every little detail was considered. Chris was very attentive and helpful and always reachable. We would love to come back!
This is a great apartment in a quiet, safe neighborhood with easy access to the tube. Several restaurants within walking distance. We loved the gas fireplace! Would definitely recommend staying here!
The property was exactly as described and perfect four our family of four. Communication was great and check-in/check-out was easy. We loved the personal touches (bottle wine, fresh flowers, fruit, and Easter candy for our children).
Flat is in a cute, lively neighborhood. Quiet and not touristy but still close to everything and easy quick walk to underground station or bus stop. Managers/owners were very thoughtful and accommodating!
The flat was in a great location. Close to Farringdon station, grocery and great local pubs. Loved Ths Crown pub. The only drawback was there were lots of stairs, but we were aware and took our time with our luggage. The host was very quick to get back to us. Had a fabulous stay!
Staying at this VRBO in London was an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and coziness. The decor was chic yet homely, and the amenities provided exceeded our expectations. The location was superb, allowing us easy access to all the must-see attractions. Plus, the host was incredibly accommodating and made sure our stay was nothing short of perfect. Highly recommend this gem for anyone visiting London!
The flat is as described in the website and is fully equipped. It is also well located given the proximity of the Farrington station. The communication with the owner were easy and efficient. I would highly recommend and I would not hesitate to stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay at this flat except for one issue - noise from the pub at night for the second bedroom (smaller one located on the main floor). Unfortunately, we visited during a heatwave and we needed to keep the windows open at night in the second bedroom to sleep so there was really no way to avoid the noise until the pub closed for the night.
The property is wonderful. It comes with everything you need to relax during your stay. The kitchen has all the necessary items you may need if you want to cook. The beds are comfortable, and the location is perfect. We really enjoyed being away from the busy areas of central London. The Farringdon station was a quick walk and easy to access everything. The shops and restaurants around this apartment were all darling. Chris was a very helpful host and quick to respond when we had questions or needed help.
This property was spacious and perfect for us and our adult daughter. It had everything we needed to cook in on a number of nights. It was also well located to travel to restaurants, theatres and sites. Chris was a thoughtful host with adaptors for electrical devices from Canada available, and milk in the fridge. We loved the gas fire. We highly recommend this first class spot!
Our family of 4 stayed for a week and we loved it. The apartment is very comfortable & beautifully decorated. Kids especially loved the Christmas tree and holiday decorations. No contact check-in/out very easy. The host, Chris, was helpful and responsive. We very much appreciated the bananas, milk, cookies and wine! The manual was very informative and useful. The location felt safe and quiet but easily walkable to supermarkets, cafes, pubs and restaurants. We would love to return.
The apartment is stylish and well appointed. The experience of London boroughs has been different from staying central London in so many positive ways- meeting the people of that borough, area attractions, restaurants, markets, pubs. Just for example-Covent Garden and the British Museum are within walking distance - even the Thames and city center attractions.
We had a wonderful time at this apartment. It's in a great location and looks exactly like the listing. We weren't aware that it was on the second floor without an elevator. The space is organized beautifully, and the apartment is well-stocked, which made up for the lack of an elevator. There is no AC in the unit. But the hosts were very responsive and even ordered two fans, upon our request, to help beat London's summer heat. In all, we had a great stay, and would love to come back.

Great choice for a London visit with family
My family (wife and 2 boys ages 8 and 6) traveled to London and enjoyed our stay at this apartment. We will definitely stay here again when we return to London. Highly recommended.
The Apartment: clean, modern and spacious. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 to spread out and relax. The fully equipped kitchen was great for our young family, allowing us to prepare breakfasts at home before going out to see London.
The Location: We really appreciated the location. The Farringdon tube stop and bus stop were both a 5 minute walk away. There is a spacious park with a great playground for the kids 2 blocks away. Grocery stores (Waitrose and Tesco Express) are a few blocks away. Some great pubs were all within a few blocks from the apartment.
The Owner: Chris was a great host! Prior to our stay he answered many of our questions as we planned our trip. During our stay he was very responsive to any questions we had.
This was our first trip to London and we were heading there to celebrate our sons 39 th birthdays (one who is a passionate supporter of the Chelsea United Soccer Club) !
Chris was super easy to communicate with and always in a timely manner! Being our first trip here , he left us with very welcomed suggestions! We loved the location and access to the Farrington station! Didn’t spend a great deal of time in the apartment during the week with all the sites to see, but it was so relaxing after hours of walking to sit by the fireplace and relax before heading out again!
Great layout, and as previous renters have indicated, there are quite a few stairs to manage both to the entrance and to the upper bedroom, so one must be pretty agile !
Kitchen was well supplied with everything you need! Touched line leaving us a wonderful bottle of Prosecco and wine and having some basic breakfast foods ready upon our arrival did not go unnoticed!
The spirit of Christmas was displayed throughout the downstairs with a Xmas tree and ornaments!
We would not hesitate to come back and spend more time in this great place and London!
Agree with all other reviews - spot on! Perfect location with convienent and short walk to Farringdon Station for easy access to all of London. We flew to Heathrow and was able to catch the Elizabeth Line directly to Farrington and then a very short walk to the flat. This neighborhood is amazing and we experienced the peaceful evenings in a quiet neighborhood after busy days of seeing all the sights in London. We loved being able to walk just a few short blocks to Exmouth Market for a meal or two. The flat was perfect for our family and it offers beautiful accommodations, well-appointed kitchen; tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Chris was great, very responsive and accommodating from the beginning to end of our trip with a quick msg after we arrived to make sure everything was great and again before we checked out. Loved the special extra touches with Nespresso, coffee, teas, milk, chocolates, bananas, clementines and a bottle of prosecco. Not expected but definitely enjoyed! This place was perfect for our family of four (all adults) and will definitely consider another stay here in the future. Like other guests mentioned, may not be perfect for everyone, only because of the stairs (apartment is on the third floor of the building and requires doing stairs - no elevator or lift) and then once inside the apartment there are more stairs to the master suite on the upper level of the apartment.
This was the first time I stayed in the Clerkenwell neighborhood. It was great. It’s less than 10 minutes from the Farringdon Tube station which is super convenient because it’s on the Elizabeth line which travels directly from Heathrow airport in less than 1 hour.
The check in process was super easy and the host Jocie was fantastic and very welcoming. She welcomed us with some fresh flowers and some snacks. Very thoughtful.
The flat is spacious with a well apportioned kitchen, nice sitting area, kitchen table and 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. The bedroom on the main level is smaller with a double bed but it’s comfortable. The bathroom on the main level isn’t attached to the bedroom but is a nice size. The main bedroom is on the 2nd level. The stairs up to the 2nd floor are a bit tricky so you need to be a bit agile. The bathroom on the 2nd level is part of the bedroom in more of a studio type setting. There isn’t privacy so best for couples.
There are 2 groceries nearby within a block or so and Exmouth Market is within a 5 minute walk and has a number of restaurants and cafes. We had a wonderful time.
The flat is on the 3rd level with no elevator. It wasn’t a problem for us but if you have larger bags just know you will need to be able to lift them 3 flights.
While the flat doesn’t have air conditioning, there are fans and with the windows open it wasn’t overly hot.
I would recommend this flat!
Sehr schönes Appartement in Clerkenwell. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. U-Bahn Station nur 5 min entfernt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants/Pubs in der Nähe.
This was my first Vrbo experience and it has set the bar high. The flat was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The owner was wonderful with communication and quickly replied to my questions. The neighborhood was quiet at night, and it's a good, central location for getting around London. I highly recommend this place.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was well appointed, clean, and communication with Chris was excellent. The fresh flowers and fruit were an additional bonus and thoughtful touch. Close to the underground and in a quiet neighborhood, we hope to book again next time we're in London!
This was my first time to London in many years. What a delightful stay. The property was incredibly clean, well stocked, and centrally located. Farringdon station was right around the corner which made travel a breeze.
Our hosts went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Very grateful we chose to stay in Clerkenwell, thank you for having us.

About the host
Hosted by Chris
Hi, We are an Australian couple who have lived in London now for the last 16 years. This is our much loved Clerkenwell apartment where we spent some of our most memorable times on London.
We now live a little bit further out of the city in a suburb called Dulwich, having to move (begrudgingly) to a house once our kids arrived. We still love the neighbourhood, going back regularly to the wonderful bars and restaurants in the area. Clerkenwell was just voted the best place to live in London 2024 in the "Sunday Times"
Why they chose this property
We loved living in the flat which is on the top floor of an old Georgian house in a street and an area with lots of history. Clerkenwell captures the spirit of the capital past, present and future. This Dickensian neighbourhood - where Oliver Twist learnt how to pick pockets - also has industrial architecture, bundles of creative energy and top notch culinary and cultural scenes.
Thanks to the recently opened Elizabeth Line and Thameslink, the local station of Farringdon is now one of the best connected places in the country whether your exploring the rest of London or heading further a field to the rest of the UK.
All part of the reason that it was names best place to live in London 2024 by the "Sunday Times"
The flat itself is on the top two floors, tucked away in very quiet street but one street each way and you are back in the hustle and bustle. Being on the top floor it feels very quiet. we fully renovated the flat about 5 years ago to a very high standard and have maintained this over the years. Difficult to find a period apartment with such a large open plan living similar to this.
