Lovely, cozy apartment in a great location!

The aoartmebt was exactly as promised, with an incredible view onto the Piazza Anfiteatro, close to everything in Lucca. The amenities were wonderful… however, the washing machine was very tough to figure out, with only indecipherable symbols and a door we couldn’t open to get our wet clothes out. The stairs are difficult but since we went later to Positano, it was good preparation! My only frustration was with reaching the property manager. She was insistent on getting our train information far in advance and was somewhat rude in her emails about not having our passport photos, even though the person who greeted us never asked for them. However when we replied with questions about issues with the apartment, we received no replies or assistance. Bottom line, apartment is ideal, but the manager is a bit tricky to work with.

Charming spacious apartment in great location within walls of Lucca

Carolina is an excellent host: easy to communicate with and helpful. She offered to make reservations for us from her personally curated list of great restaurants which were terrific. The unit (up 48 turning steps) is spacious and well appointed. We were welcomed with fresh fruit and lots of info on area attractions.

Spacious apartment on Lucca Piazza dell’ Anfiteatro

Furnished with antiques, this apartment gives the traveler a feeling of authentic Lucca. It is spacious and comfortable.The kitchen is well- stocked, with most things you need to cook there. A Conad grocery is a few blocks away. The check-in process is made easy by clear communication with Carolina and her team. The train station is about a 20 minute walk. If you don’t have much luggage, it is walkable. Taxis can be called from the station. Lucca is an enchanting city, with excellent shopping. The apartment is on the piazza dell’Anfiteatro. This is fun, but there is the constant sound of performers in the piazza in the afternoon, which can not be kept out. This can’t be helped by the owners of the apartment, but just be aware. Also, the bars stay open until late in the evening, and the noise from the patrons is very audible until about one in the morning on most nights. Overall, Lucca is a wonderful smaller city, with preserved atmosphere. The apartment is large and well-furnished, with owners, managers who are very responsive.

Wonderfulpl place, better than expected. She had all the items needed for our 3 day stay including a welcome trayb of fru8it and a bottle of great wine! This is definatley a 5 star! Carolina was our host and her communicastion wes supurb!
