A fantastic stay in this beautiful house
Our stay in this house was absolutely wonderful.
It was so well equipped with everything you could need and spotlessly clean.
It has bags of character and the setting was perfect.
A real gem in the heart of rural France.
We also found the guides and information available extremely useful to help us to find the local Chateau's and vineyards.
A friendly and peaceful place to relax and enjoy everything France has to offer.

Notre semaine du 9 au 13 avril 2018
Bonjour,

About the host
Hosted by Alexandra Marriott
I live with my husband in a beautiful village in the Cotswolds. We moved to the area for work reasons and to be close to my family in 2000 and have never looked back. I am a personal trainer and an exercise instructor and Andy is a commercial director for a logistics company. We love walking and cycling, our other interests are fine dining, wines and socialising with family and friends. Fortunately, all of this can be done within the immediate area of the Loire.
Why they chose this property
We have enjoyed holidaying in France and particularly the Loire over the last 10 years and decided to take the plunge and buy a property which we can enjoy for family holidays and potentially as a retirement place in the future. We knew this was the one as soon as we got out of the car, it had been renovated to a very high standard and retains a lot of the original charm.
What makes this property unique
Although not unique, we find it easy to switch off and relax whenever we visit. The area is quiet, the hamlet is surrounded by agriculture, you can see the apple trees on the hillsides, farmers waving as they travel around on their tractors. Unlike a lot of gites and second homes owned by Brits, the property is not full of old and unmatching furniture, its bright and modern and hopefully homely.
