The location was great. The house itself was in very poor Repair. The upstairs bedrooms were extremely warm air-conditioning did not cool them enough. The kitchen was very poorly equipped.
We love staying at the John Bruff house in St. Michaels. The location is great, right in the heart of town! Our family has been staying here for the past few years and we can’t wait to go back!!
Checking in was easy & the host was kind and readily available if needed. The location and uniqueness of this historic house couldn’t be beat. Thank you!
St Michaels is so charming and historic and so is the John Bluff house! Everything is in walking distance, beautiful view of the water and the perfect location to sit back and relax!
We again enjoyed our stay at your lovely home. Great location to everything in town and close to Oxford, Blackwater Refuge and Tilghman Island. Thank you for another nice stay!
We once again enjoyed our stay here. Perfect location to every where you’d want to go in St. Michael’s! Loved sitting out front looking at the water and park and enjoying music from our front yard. Highly recommend this cottage.
Overall our stay was excellentThe air conditioning worked well downstairs, but the fan needs to be set to on and the temperature reduced to cool down upstairsThe older front of the house is furnished withLovely antiques so we mostly used the kitchen and family room in the backIt has a large yard for walking your dogBut was not enclosed along the back or one side so keep an eye on your petIce maker did not work but ice trays were provided and worked fineWe ate all meals outPark and harbor were right outside the front door, and many restaurants and shops were within easy walking distance of less than 1000 ftParked the cars on arrival and never moved them until we leftThe house is over 200 years old, the stairs to both upstairs areas were historically challenging and memorable. The back stairway was much easier to navigate than the frontHouse could use a little TLCHost quickly addressed a minor issue we had on arrival. would recommend labeling parking areas for which address they were forCell service is a bit spotty in the areaBut worked much better with wifi calling from the houseTelevision in family room worked fairly wellTelevision in master did not get any channelsNever found the pool?Had a nice 3 day stay
I loved this property! It actually exceeded my expectations. The location is completely unbeatable, close to the water and all the shops and restaurants. Sitting outside looking at the water and people watching was a fun way to spend some of the afternoon. Tom was responsive and kind and is clearly invested in making sure his guests are well taken care of. The house has two large bedrooms that are far from each other-great for two couples looking for privacy. I loved the "old House" charm combined with the comforts of "new home" features like AC! We loved our weekend here and can't want to return.
